Arcane Trickster Pilfer Magic
This ability is a waste in its current form because it is always Lesser Dispel. What if every time Pilfer Magic gets an increasein uses, it also increases in power. So, when you first get the ability it is Lesser Dispel, the 2nd use you get it becomes Dispel Magic, and the 3rd and final use you get is Greater Dispel Magic. What do you think?

Essentially it ends up being greater dispel magic 3/day.... Then you have to consider if it will cast based on your Caster Level, Character Level or Class level, because if Class level, you cap out at +10 which means any ward of CL20 or higher would be immune. I kind of think that would be a good compromise between lesser dispel (max +5) and Full Caster level Greater Dispel (max +20). It would be useful when pesky mobs/bosses spawn with potions and against PvP'ers who use wands/potions/scrolls, but wouldn't be a full greater dispel against CL29 or less.
Even at the +20 It wouldn't necessarily be overpowering by any means, but I have always felt AT gets a pretty solid mix of good stuff. You basically still get to progress full caster levels and it only costs you Practiced Spell Caster (since you have to take non-caster progression classes to qualify). For this relatively inexpensive cost of entry to the PRC you get more skillpoints/level than a wizard/sorcerer or any of their other full caster progression PRCs, fantastic skills (such as spot, tumble, stealth, sleight of hand, etc.) the ability to apply sneak attacks on RTAs and (though useless for most builds I have a drow that uses it) impromptu sneak attacks.
So in short I'd be fine either way. On the one hand I get that you lament one of the abilities are near useless, but on the other the PRC gives plenty of reason to go for it and doesn't really need a buff.

Re: Arcane Trickster Pilfer Magic
Are you sure it's only a lesser dispel? The wiki says so, but the ingame description looks like this

Don't know what NPC caster levels are like, but I do actually use it from time to time
Edit: Correction! I was looking at the pages Pilfer Magic and Pilfer magic where it says lesser dispel, but on Arcane Trickster it does say it's greater dispel.

"Is that why you are killing them?"
"Yes. They will atone in death."
"Ah. That will help them understand."

oh, I didn't know it was already updated then, as I was looking at the feat/class changes in the topic on this forum.
