Walk Not Run
My char recently acquired Swift Tracker which keeps her Tracker permanently active and she has Keen Senses which keeps her Search active. These are both nice abilities to have, however the problem this poses is that I usually enable one of these features to force my character to visibly walk instead of running everywhere. Tis is the first time I've been unable to use Track or Search to enable walking and I'm not aware of any method of enabling walk aside from shift + click which can get tedious. Is there a less tedious method to enable walk aside from saddling my char with excess weight which has also been suggested to me? Thx.

Re: Walk Not Run
If you type /invertrun that should work. It's a bit buggy though, there's a little bit of lag so you start to run and then immediately change to walk.
There's also a feat that everyone gets automatically called "Walk" or something like that. Drag that from your feats list to hotbar it might work.

But I forgot to mention, /invertrun might be a NWN Client Extension thing, so you'd need to have that!

Re: Walk Not Run
I think you're referring to Normal Speed. I tried activating this but it doesn't have the desired effect unless I'm using it wrong.
This would be nice to have.

Re: Walk Not Run
There's a feat called Normal Speed. Everyone has it. Does it work for you?
Edit. My reply was late, I see it was being mentioned. I think that only pressing down shift is other option. Or encumbarance.

Re: Walk Not Run
Holding down shift and using the directional keys also makes you walk.

Re: Walk Not Run
I am not getting the "normal speed" feat to work. Search or detect or track are slower than needed, I think. And I wave been trained, old school, to not constantly press the keyboard when playing NWN2 online. Doesn't that contribute to server lag? Same with litter, that I find frequently. Anyway, is there a trick to getting the feat to work. I get a message when I click on it after placing it in a slot. Thanks

Re: Walk Not Run
This is good to know. I thought everyone was doing something that I had not figured out yet but was afraid to ask. I rarely use the keys to move, only when getting through obstacles. A long time ago it was thought to increase server lag, so I avoid it.

Re: Walk Not Run
The Normal Speed feet is to disable speed bonus feats, such as those granted by Monk, Grey Orc, Barbarian etc., so that you may walk alongside your companions on the road at their normal speed. Sadly, shift-clicking or shift+direction keys are the only solution for elvish rangers with swift tracker & keen senses.
