"What a Defiant look in those eyes of yours...How long will it last though before you break little rebel Tiefling."

The memories of the hells flooded back to her as she sat by the campfire. Of the chains that had once been bound to her, of the pain that was visited upon her for long stretches of time. For what felt like Eons. Yet, that spark in her remained. That spark that clung to hope of getting out. Of being saved. That part of who she was that defied the rules and laws of those that could not contain her for long. That part of her looked at each devil that entered her cell.

"You know....one of these days, I'll come back here...and I will enjoy tearing into the lot of you. You'll burn in Azure Flames and I will laugh."

The laughter echoed before the pain flowed into her again, the groans and pants as each pain was delivered with such malice. The part of her that clung to the hope, the part of her buried deep in her mind. The Part of her that was pure rage and vengeance, seethed with each pain dealt. It wanted to break free of the chains. To fight back and pay back each wound given to her ten fold. It was a part of her that demanded to survive, to hold on and last so that she could see the day where that desire was met. It kept her alive, kept her from giving up and breaking the chains. Revenge, unholy and corrupted, fitting of her Devils blood. Yet she would prove it all the same. She would prove that no Devil could keep her bound, No devil would keep her contained. She would fight it all and see them burn in the holiest of flames. Even if it meant her own demise. She would still be the last to stand as they died under her feet.

"You cannot hope to kill us little Tiefling...you may have the Wrath of your ancestors, but you've no means to wield it properly. You're a soul here, and you will Obey...Or be cast into oblivion."

Another pain delivered, another pang of Hatred coursed through her. It was true though. She was just a soul, unable to fight back or prevent the pain. Chains by magical means to suffer. But this pain made her respect those who learned from it. As time went on, she learned to anticipate where the strikes would come. What part would be cut into and how her chains were slack in small areas. She could twist certain ways, be a pain for the Devils and recieve more pain than before. Whatever she could do to make their jobs a bit more of a chore than a pleasure seek. It thrilled her to be a pain, even if she was harmed more. The physical pain however didn't last long after that. They changed tactics. Seeking out Mental breaking more than physical. Forcing her to witness illusions of moments that had been twisted. Moments of Peace now changed to Hate. And with it more of that hate stemmed into her. More her anger rose and the more she cursed the Devils in silence. The more she wanted to see them mangled by her own two hands as the satisfaction sated her.
"Enough! Cast these images from her mind!"

"Let the Memory sink back into the Darkness!"

"It is over! She is not there! That is not her!"

"Our Chains have been broken! We are not bound by that Rage! It is not US! WE ARE NOT BLACK FLAMES!"

Na'Karia snapped back to reality after the voices shouted in her head. Breaking the Memory that enthralled her. The tiefling looked at her hands and noticed the crescent moon marks in the the palm of her hands that had been bleeding. When has she balled her hands into tight fists? Was it during the recall? A soft sigh escaped her as she stood from the log she had been sitting on for some time, then walked down the hill to the pond near the FAI. Looking at her reflection in the water, she wondered just how much she had changed. Of the part of her left in the Hells the day she was taken out of it. She had endured, but it had also broken her. She looked at the possible death before her and it was a fat ugly thing with a jackals smile.

"...I'm not the person I use to be...People see someone who's happier and Healthy now? Tell me...where is she then? What I see in my reflections is a woman wearing a mask that hides how fractured she really is. Held together by glitter and gold in the cracks." She lightly chuckled before bending down to pick up a stone then skipped it across the water surface. "...If anything, there is a torrent of rage boiling under the surface of Kossuths Favored...and even she cannot stop the storm once it is unleashed. A Frenzied Flame waiting to consume the world and render it to ash...and she needs....is that final spark to bring about the largest Fire Storm the Coast has ever seen...where she is in the center of it...with no control over anything."

Another stone was skipped across the water before her golden red gaze looked skyward. She knew one day her flame would be snuffed out. She would die and the world would not remember her name. She would join the rest of the Unnamed fallen, forgotten to time like them as well. She knew her mortality, knew her actions and deeds would be left as notes in the margins of better stories. She knew she was not going to be anything but an unsung soul. A soft smile graced her lips before she closed her eyes. "...Even if that happens though....Even if I lose myself to the Flames of my own Rage and Malice...I'll at least do some good before I finally go."

As she sat looking at the horizon where the sun rose from, Na'Karia let out a tied sigh before a loud yawn. She wasn't able to sleep well last night...and there was only one reason for it. A reason that was full of energy and running after every stick she threw when it brought it back to her. Her Doberman Dante was racing to and from the hill above the temple to Kossuth, he had been like this for the past three hours. Spending the reserve of energy he had pent up until he finally kept hold of his glorious stick.

"If you don't drop it, I won't throw it." Na'Karia looked the hound in the eyes, tired already of throwing the bloody thing.

Dante remained where he was, going so far to sit yet never dropping the stick. The tiefling reached for the stick but the hound backed away from her. Thus causing her to arch a brow.

"I'm not chasing you..." Na'Karia stated to her hound. The response, the stick was dropped and Dante ran off...Only to come back a few moments later with something that Did get the tiefling to chase the hound. "Dante! You put my flail down right now!"

The hound did not care, he did not stop, his owner needed to work out and he was there to make sure she did so!

"He is missing a blade...one of the two blessed by her god...can she find it?"

"If she finds it...what will happen? Will she bur ? Will it accept her? She needs to know...she has to find it."

"...But she knows where He is now...the forces smaller...in the Cave where she burnt the grass...His tribw go in...less come out...changed."

"But the tribe...they're looking to hunger...she needs to remind them of the Flames. She needs to be the guiding light The shaman told her she could be. She must be thst ghide now. No matter what, whatever it takes...she must lead them."

"There is much we need to do. Much to consider now. Demons are in his Trube. Shoosuvas, Leucrottas...they must be dealt with. She needs to remove them as soon as possible."

The voices spoke for a while longer as Na'Karia gazed out at the pond in the rain. She needed to finalize whatever plans she was drumming up then work to get them rolling. Her golden red gaze burned with intense zealotry as the gears in her mind turned out scenarios and battle plans. She would kill the charred Saint of Yennoghu and be what the Old Shaman told her. Her Tribe would not Die or turn to the hunger. She wouldn't allow it.

Quietly she sat under a tree in the Norther Greenfields, her eyes were shut and the sound of nature echoed in her ears. Na'Karia, still wore her armor, never know if or when she might be ambushed by Rhulgs forces or scouts. Yet she never felt at a disadvantage when she was out on her own, as foolish as that might be. No, she felt at peace even when left with nothing but her own company. She could be in a crowd of people and feel alone, yet being by herself she felt fine. Perhaps it was the hermit habits that had come to her. Perhaps there just days where she wanted to be away from people and sit in nature. To remind herself that there is beauty in things and life. Despite all the turmoil and chaos, despite the pain and anguish one faces day by day in some way, there was still a beauty to the world around her. Beauty to the people who came and went in her life. Beauty in the flames of their passions and ambitions. The beauty to the Flames of Life all around her.

"Change...it always comes in Harsh or abrupt times." *She softly murmured to herself.
"change comes to everything...people, places...nothing remains as it once was. She knows this."

"There is no point to stopping change. It happens regardless of what is done. She has changed too. She is not as she once was either."

"She choose to be their Leader...the other one...racked with grief and sadness...distracted as the other put it...She sees clearly though...She knows what she needs to do...she has put her mind to it and made the choice."

"She will need to follow through with it now, do as she has said and not remain waiting on answers. She is more than a servant...she was never meant to be as such. She was meant for more."

"Flamesoul as they called her...yes it works. Her soul is strong like an Eternal Flame. A natural force that persists even in the harshest of conditions. She is like such, not as the Title in her faith, bust as a natural occurring force. She is an Eternal Flame, a soul of Fire that does not go out so easily. A soul who still chooses to live even when the Hells did so much damage to her."

"...The Hells did their number, when all felt bleak...a flame was lite and guided us back. Now...now we must repay the debt. Now we must be the Guiding Flame for those who need it...but we know the duality of what we seek. To be strong, we need to crush those who stand in our way. Yet we must protect those who are under our care as well. We cannot be fully on one side, the balance of both sides is needed. Diplomacy and a steadfast resolve are needed to ensure our ambition is realized."

Na'Karia opened her eyes as she looked up at the mid-day sky through the tree branches. The voices in her mind sure did come up with some strange things, some she wanted to believe. Other she knew were out there in the fields of delusions. A quiet chuckle escaped her, as much as she would have greatly accepted the self-proclaimed title of Eternal Flame she knew very well how that would have turned out. She was sure to hear such a tongue lashing from her adoptive mother for such things. No she did not need to mix Faith with natural occurrences in the world. The Zealot part of her should have known better that to compare her soul with such things. It felt to grand and elaborate.

"Soul like an Eternal Flame...that will indeed get me in trouble with the Faith if I go around making claims like that. Best to just let that sort of Zealotry remain with those who die when they set things on fire like idiots." The burnt tiefling quietly chuckled.

//Hi hi! Bit of OOC here so the DM's don't look at me with that shiny hammer of 'DA RULZE'. Here's a bit of information on what 'Eternal Flames' the Zealot is mentioning, in case no one knew and is/ was confused. Keep in mind, there are man made ones too, but we're sticking to Natural ones:

Natural Eternal Flames:
  • Cause: These fires are caused by a continuous supply of flammable gases (like methane, ethane, and propane) seeping from the ground.
  • Fuel Source: The gases can originate from the natural fracturing of deep shale layers due to tectonic activity or from abandoned oil and gas wells.

Examples:

  • Darvaza Gas Crater, Turkmenistan (the "Gates of Hell"): A Soviet drilling accident in 1971 created a gas crater that has been burning ever since.
  • Yanar Dag, Azerbaijan: A massive fire fueled by natural gas seeping from the mountain side.
  • Chestnut Ridge Eternal Flame, New York: A unique flame hidden behind a waterfall, fed by natural gas.
  • Baba Gurgur, Iraq: One of the longest-burning natural eternal flames.

"Where will shr start looking for the lost blade? There are many locations to consider."

"She could look around the outskirts of Triel...areas between there and the Reaching woods..."

"...Areas outside but close to Dark Hold as well...she will just avoid the Crimson Gaze...not worth his time after all. Amd she doesn’t have time to spare on monologs."

...What she should wonder more...How did Rhulg lose the blade in the first place? He held onto them like a life line...he wouldn’t lose one on purpose...unless this is a trap for her..."

"We would not put it past him. He knows of our desire for the Blades, mayne not the new deaire but the old one. We still need to know, trap or not, are the Blades still bound to the old shaman? Do they have no master? Are they waiting foe her to take the handles and lead?"

"...They may want her to lead, but does she believe she is ready for such? 'Queen' of the Flamelords Gnolls, such an idea is outlandish and odd, perhaps it is to ambiguous for her."
Looking to the brazier on the pillar beside the entrance to the Temple, Na'Karia stood there jn the rain and relaxed for a time.

Rules to adhere by:
  • Obey those in a higher position.
  • Do not Speak out of turn.
  • Forfeit ideas of personal freedom and creativity.
  • Die without question.
Her golden red gaze looked at the rules she set for herself before tearing them out and tossing them into the campfire. "No, that's not me...I can't be like that." Her words softly escaped her before she ran a hand over her stubble hair. She was glad that was growing back, but it was a slow rate. Least she looked like she got a military hair cut instead of being bald. Na'Karia sat by the campfire in silence as she looked back over her journal and conversations written down that had taken place in her head. She looked at each one, each depiction of her mindscape, each part that spoke...

"Stupid...all of it is stupid..." Her words flowed from her mouth before she closed the journal. "No more...there's no reason to keep this...Nothing in this is worthy of reading." With that, the journal was tossed into the campfire. The tiefling sat and watched it burn in silence.

She would not be picking up another to write in again.

She told herself she wouldn't pick another one up. She said she wouldn't write another word of her thoughts. She screamed at herself that it was all pointless and stupid...yet here she is. Quill in hand, a blank book sitting in front of her and the thoughts of her head spinning to fast for her to latch on to anything for long. A torrent of thoughts and emotions she wanted to keep bottled up. No one would care, she could write whatever she wanted or nothing at all. No songs would be made to praise her for who she was. No stories would be told of her for what she had done after she was gone.

As the ink dripped onto the blank page, Na'Karia sighed then placed the quill back into the ink well. Her fingers drummed the top of the table for a moment before her golden red gaze glanced to the Mirror of her inn room. She studied her reflection a moment. Watched it and traced over the burns she had that could be seen. Her hand reached up to softly brush against the stump of what remained of her missing horn. How she had changed, both physically, emotionally and mentally. She was a lier, a cheat, a fraud, a reckless foolish woman. It didn't surprise her at all to know how her own story ends.

The Devils Gambit still held a chain around her neck after all.

Reaching into her coin purse, Na'Karia pulled a coin out and looked it over for a time. If it landed on heads her luck was still in good standings with Lady Luck. If tails then she would be in Lady Dooms company and require the best brandy available to serve her a drink. The tiefling wasn't overly fond of Fate or Destiny being pre-determined things. She entertained the thought of Free Will and a person's choices being the things that wrote the stories of people. Everything was made up of choices after all. Everyone chose to be a certain way, to act a certain way or lead a certain life.

The tiefling flipped the coin and watched it turn in the air a few times before she caught it and slapped the coin onto the back of her hand. Tales, Lady Doom loomed over her this day and a drink of expensive brandy would be offered later. If there was one thing she didn't need...it was bad luck. Bad luck would lead to her death long before the Gambits closure and the end of her own story. But perhaps it was a mercy too. Of she died on the prime material then her soul wouldn't get trapped in the hells. She could die and possibly be reborn sometime in the future.

For now though, Na'Karia looked back to the blank book and tapped a finger ontop of the table. She wanted to write her thoughts down but something was keeping her from doing so. All that was on the page was a drying ink splat.

The duality of things...of herself...she knew it well enough to give it names and faces. Shapes and forms that were like her own but not fully her. She knew of her own state of mind, of her own emotional and physical state. She was not whole, she would never be whole...and that was fine. There was perfection in imperfection. Her faults and flaws, she knew them all and accepted them all. The Tiefling was more aware of herself than anyone might ever believe. She knew everything that worked in her head and even then she still found things about herself that surprised her.

She knew the parts and what they represented for her.
The Chariot was her sense of Direction, paired with it was The Hermit, the one who doubted each step along the way as they continued on.
Then there was The Matron, her tenderness towards the world and others within it. Along side it was The Shadow, her hidden Rage that would burn brighter than any Fire Storm.
And lastly was The Zealot, her ability to be detached everything and everyone knowing it would all burn to ashes in the end. With it was The Amalgamation, the very being who cared unconditionally and deeply for those around them.

Na'Karia was aware of each part, of each piece that made up who she was beyond the flesh and bones of her form. The parts of her Soul that worked in unity to make her who she was. Each flaw and imperfect piece, beautifully crafting someone who at times hid those parts of herself. The days spent in self-reflection, of looking within to see where it was that she needed to improve, made her realize how close she was getting to the end of her Tale. She gauged that by the years end she would not be on the Prime Material Plane. Her time was coming to a close and the encore of her performance would be ushered in soon. Looking back on things, there was much she wish she had done better, things she had said rather than keeping it all bottled up. If she was to dance one last time on the Stage of Life, she wanted to do so with no regrets holding her down. Even if her foe was to be the Devil that bid three soul coins on her, or the Charred Colossal Gnoll who was sending his agents after her to kill her, she wanted to be able to fight with nothing holding her back or restraining her at the very end of her Tale.

Strength was never about how many people she had on her side or backing her. It was having full awareness of herself and making peace with everything she was. It was having full control over herself so nothing else could.

//No this doesn't mean she's actually immune to any sort of Magical Mind control. Na'Karia is just Hyper Aware of her mental and emotional state. She can still be affected by magical stuff but she does like to use mind blank spells too! But where's the fun in that if some DM wants her to see Hallucinations, it'll make her look crazy, but who the heck is sane in the adventuring life :D

The boiling Rage she felt in her blood after seeing the vision. The hatred and malice that soaked her mind as she watched in silence. The guilt of it biting into her knowing she had been a cause of this. She needed to set it right, she needed to fix the mistake she made. But now wasn't the time to rush off and take back what was stolen. Ne she needed to bide her time and gather up a few more souls who would lend a hand in this. Assassins were after her and one other now. Leaders and symbols that kept the peace together. Without her or the other there would be nothing but ruin left, and from that ruin the Hunger would set in and undo everything that had been accomplished thus far. She needed to calm down first, she needed to think of a plan. Narrow passage ways, a den within a cave, she knew of a place like that but if there were others she didn't have time to make the wrong choice. Na'Karia paced back and forth in the temple, her golden red gaze burning into the stone floors as she tried to think. Yet all she could imagine was seeing her scout impaled on the pike and breathing shallow breaths. The mere thought made her angrier by the moment and the guilt ate at the back if her mind. Had she not asked, had she kept quiet and just let the idea of getting the blade go...her scout wouldn't have been caught. He'd be free still and prowling about. She needed to fix this...she had to fix this. Her steps soon stopped at the table where the map and journal were before she slammed her balled up fists on it, had she been more conscious of the reactions and consequences, had she taken the chances and possible outcomes more than feed her selfish desires, she could have seen this coming.

She could have planned for this sort of thing months in advance...and yet what had she been doing? Loitering...waiting...nothing of significant worth and value. Ger mind raced with thoughts of 'What if'. Then it became silent. Utterly and completely silent. The Tieflings expression shifted from anger to one devoid of all emotions. A cold look to her golden red eyes and she stood up more straight. What was this going to get her? Letting the anger rule her thoughts like it was. No, she needed to be better than that. She needed to make a plan of actions then set it into motion. She made the mistake yes, she was selfish for wanting to find something out of sight, but now she needed to take back what had been captured. If she saw the colossal gnoll, if they crossed blades, all her anger, her fury, her guilt and rage would find a home in that Gnoll. She would make him pay, one way or another, he was going to pay for this.

...A festering pit of blackened substance of questionable state and source...cave walls covered in the iconography of Yeenoghu and the remains of creatures unknown left scattered along the stone floors.

Though she could not see any gnolls or indeed any within the Scrying, she would gain the feeling of the Scrying being noticed. Yet nothing seemed to counter it in any way.

The state of the object she sought was uncertain, but as the Scrying gave location, she would be certain that some part of it yet existed...

Na'Karia leaned over a table, looking over a map of the Reaching Woods in silence. She had been spending a lot of time looking at it, contemplating her next move as she pondered the Scrying she had done days prior. She had two targets, the captured scout and now the Blade. She started this to get the Scout back, that was her main priority. IT would have been heartless of her to change targets now, but if she could get the chance to get the blade after...if it was indeed going to be used for something to summon in something worse, then who was going to stop her from going after the blade once the scout and others were safe? What was keeping her from turning and running deeper into a den possibly festering with Demons and more Gnolls to get her hands on a Blade blessed by her god? Was it foolish? absolutely. Was there a payoff to gain from this? Potentially. Would she still burn like the Gnoll who took the Blades from an Old Gnoll Shaman thinking he could withstand the Flames? Without a doubt in her mind, but she would still get it out of the Filth it was in now even if it was just a remnant of what it originally was.

Was it zealotry that was driving her to be careful of her actions or was it something else that was driving her to go this far? No one could really saw what she saw in these gnolls. Even she was questioning herself about this, why did she care so much about beasts who were going against their natures as monsters? Why was she willing to risk her life for beasts who could easily go back to being what they really were? Why wasn't she walking away from this like she had walked away from so many other things in the past. Why was she going back to this one thing? This one group of beasts who meant nothing to anyone else? A tribe of monsters who were fighting their natures. Fighting what made them the thing people hunted. Why were these Gnolls any different than the Gnolls commonly seen. Why did she care so much about them when they could easily turn on her at any moment.

Bringing a hand up to pinch the bridge of her nose, the tiefling let out a sigh. She was overthinking things again, like usual. She was drumming up thoughts and questions of doubts when now wasn't the time for them. She needed to make a plan and form a strategy that would ensure her success, she needed to make something solid to go on and to be sure that whatever was waiting for her, wouldn't be getting the upper hand. She expected the Charred Gnoll to be waiting for her to show. She expected a clash of blades to ring out from the cave. She expected things to go sideways not just for the plan to get the scout out, but for her very being. The darkness that rested within her soul and mind, the Shadow of her ire to come out in full force and remind others who what her blood was tied to. Who her blood came from. Pain and Pleasure dwelled in the same twisted home and she was fighting it off for so long. She knew it was there watching, waiting, warning her about what may happen. Warning her of what will happen if she lost her reason to remain as she was now. She could not be Good, nor could she be Evil...she was neither of those things. She was worse. Love and Hate, two sides of the same coin all based on emotions. IF she became lost, if she lost her reason for doing what she did...Even the Hells would not comprehend the amount of destruction she'd seek to bring. IF she lost all sense of humanity left within her very being, if the Flames consumed everything that she was...nothing would put the Flames out. All would burn. The Heavens, The Hells, the Mortal Realm...all of it would be ash at her feet and she would not care for the lives and souls lost. She would be a Lord of Ashes and feel nothing in her ashen heart. Her soul would have left her body long before the light left her eyes. She would be a machine and nothing more at that point.

And she knew this.

Taking a breath in before slowly letting it out, Na'Karia stood up right and looked over her burns for a moment. Part of her was hoping that someone would take her head off before she could go that dark. Before she could become to twisted from things.

"Get it together Syra'Vain...you don't know what that stuff is yet...it won't do any good to think it will make you a monster if you have to dive in for the Blade...Wards are going to be vital if the chance comes to get it...otherwise, focus on the priority. The scout is more important. Fix your mistake first before doing something stupid and reckless." The tiefling muttered to herself before she went back to pouring her attention over the Map on the table. "You've still got a Flame in your heart...it's not going out anytime soon...You won't let the darkness consume it that easily. Not without a damngood fight."

"Fifteen more days...and it will have been a year since then..."

Her voice was soft as she spoke to the heated air in the Temple to her Lord. A year nearly came and went since her return to the Prime Material. The memories that played in her head of all her encounters with others, both sweet, bitter, painful, and harmful came in waves. Her mind, a wonderous and harmful thing that could bot forget faces or details, a thing that overthought and overanalyzed things yet never truely forgot anything tangible...could recall details if she just let the voices go off on tyraids and rants. Closing her golden red eyes, Na'Karia let out a steady breath. The beat of her heart, softly echoed in her ears as she mentally examined herself. Physically she was fine. Fit the fight and push her own body well past its limits should the need come. Mentally, she was fractured but aware enough that outside forces would get noticed. Emotionally...she felt devoid. As if this was all just motions to her now. She wasn't cold to everything, but nothing felt like it was going to last with her. The sparks of life kept with her, the flames of passion were still there. But she herself, could look at it like she was peering in through a window. Like she could see herself from someone else's view.

It wasn't lost on her on what that meant. To be able to step out of her own skin, her own body, and view who she was like as another person. That was something only reserved for the Spiritually and Self Aware people of the world. The people who did not take their abilities and declair themselves above all others. The people who did not sit on thrones or hold courts, lodly declaring they were never wrong. It was the people who were quiet, calm, observant of things. The people who understood Silence and all its unspoken words. The people who could view both Lawful and Chaotic paths yet never fully pick the line to walk. She looked at herself, not seeing the blacks and whites of the world swirling about her monochrome shape. She was the Grey's and silver threads that lined it. Where only her golden red eyes, eyes that no other tiefling held, were colorful and bright. Eyes that showed the light and brilliance of her Hellscorched Soul.

Raising a hand tobher chest, her palm softly resting on it, Na'Karia opened her eyes and breathed in. The heat of the temples air filled her lungs, coursing through her body before slowly leaving it. She trusted her faith, her Lord, the Tyrant who whispered from the crackling Flames around her.

"O Kossuth, Lord of Flames, hear the voice of your loyal servant and barewitness to her unyeilding piety. Should my soul become corrupted, should a darkness plague my very being, cleanse this vessel with you searing light and flames. Render it to ash and forge this soul anew. Let the name Na'Karia Syra'Vain be striken from records should I fall into the Claws of Darkness and Corruption."

The flame of your soul is not one that goes out easily...your will, your stubbornness, the determination you have to keep going...those are things that fuel your flame. Your end...it will not be a quiet surrender. The darkness will have to get past the brilliance of your souls light. The claws will have to tear deep into the soul to snuff out the light. But...you won't give up. You will fight, as you always have. No cage can hold you, no chains can keep you. Your fire...it is not quiet, it is not subtle. When your flames ignite, all will know where it is coming from. Your soul is not one to sway easily...you have always walk your own path, away from others who could not follow or chose not to follow. But you needn't walk it alone all the time. There will be those who come, those who will stay, those who will follow. You need only look around you and see them. Fearless Flame...Child of Fire...You are still needed. Do not let the light go just yet."
Na'Karia blinked for a moment as she looked away from the map on the table in front of her. The Shadow has softly spoke in mind as she was going over a strategy to herself. A quiet chuckle escaped her as she rolled up the map and set it aside. She had no real intentions of letting her flame go out so easily. She was going to fight one way or the other. To survive, to live, to see the dawn of the day after everything was said and done. To see the Devil give up on getting her soul. To see Rhulg be laid to rest. To see her Gnolls finally find a place where they could live in peace and thrive. She needed to survive to see that come to be. She had to survive to see that, by any means necessary.

"I will keep going...It's not the final chapter just yet. The epilogue still hasn't been planned for my tale." the Tiefling softly spoke. "There's a bardess out there who still needs to turn my most reckless action into a song as well. I want to hear that."

You know what you're getting into? IF this works in your favor...this could benefit you. But if that 'Thing' whatever the nine hells it has become now, gets the artifact...It means Doom for not just you...Are you sure this is wise?"

"What have I to lose? Disadvantage or not, that thing needs to be dealt with before the Charred beast tries for it. Whatever it is now...it is no longer a Gnoll, and if the artifact is what's making the gnolls go underground...I'm not the only one who's heard of it by now. IT has likely heard too..." Na'Karia looked at her shadow for a moment before her graze looked forward. "This isn't a Childs game...and I plan to use whoever and whatever I can get my hands on to make that Charred Beast see how lesser he is now. How feeble and weak he really is."

"...The child Telash once knew...I can hear her weeping...as streams of black trickle down her cheeks...That darkness...it pools at her feet...will it pool in your soul too?"

Na'Karia was silent for a time. "...Only one way to find out...right?"
