A hooded figure casually reads the message board outside the Elfsong Tavern. After a while he discreetly uses a device to stamp a canine tooth on the upper right corner of the note about the wolf and the fang.

It is said that due to the joint efforts of the DHC, Relentless storm, and Flaming Fist, the threat of the Warsworn was ended today.

As a large party, we gathered to go over the strategy of the battle.

Image

The expedition put organized by one Derik Ranloss set out on 2 vessels, the Fist's Francesca and Captain Vala Dunn's Relentless Storm

The ships traveled to the last known location of the Warsworn's hunting ground and the Shamaness Lannia Ranloss was able to direct the expedition to the creature as a thick, green fog surrounded both vessels. Because of this, the Warsworn was not able to surprise either ship. Instead, it was found out and both ships took up flanking positions and started a bombardment of magic as well as specially tipped ballista bolts and a catapult armed with holy-water projectiles.

Eventually, the creature gained on the slower, larger Flaming Fist ship and spirits appeared from the fog, though were easily dispatched.

Image

Finally, the Francesca was no longer able to evade the creature, which attacked with many various tendrils, trying to overwhelm and destroy the ship. The adventurers on the Fist vessel faced down the creature directly using a combination of destructive magics, healing and holy magics, and blade work. Meanwhile the faster Relentless Storm continued the flank the beast's bulk in the water and pour both mundane and magical attacks into it while attempting to hamper it from fully attacking the Francesca

Image

Eventually, due to a combined effort of brave adventurers (and one stowaway) that are too numerous and varied to even begin to list fully, the gigantic creature was laid low and destroyed during the ensuing battle.

Upon inspection of the remains, it was determined that the creature was ancient, hence why it was so large. It contained remains of soldiers and peoples from ancient empires and countries from across Faerun. This thing had been feeding and growing for centuries. What drew it here was not determined.

Final report indicates no crewmembers of either ship lost, none of the participants of the bounty hunt slain. The Relentless Storm suffered only minor damage and the Francesca suffered damage that will take it out of action for a while, but it will be a simple matter of time to complete the repairs before the mighty warship is at full speed.

All participants were paid their generous bounty and went to their various victory celebrations.

((Thank you to DM Impostor for running this. I'd put out more names of people who did awesome stuff, but that's pretty much everyone, and there was a lot of awesome stuff and I'd be typing till next week :D Thank you all for making this happen!))

A tall man many may know or may not know as Gaven Arkalis can be seen walking the Helm and cloak during the Night, having heard wind of a recent thievery he has had intent to help keep an extra eye on things, while tending to some other matters.

Two figures, man in red adorned chainmail and wizard in green robes enters The Blade and Stars Inn. They seem to be going through two rolled parchments a fair moment, apparently drafted by the wizard, whom regular visitors to the city district might recognize as Halron Amaryun. They both seem to sign and seal the papers and later on toast over their made deal.

A large copper and brown clad warrior carrying a pair of bastard swords across his back was seen entering the Temple of Tempus this evening. This isn't odd in and of itself, as this man is a known worshiper of the Foehammer. However, parishioners who were for a conversation between the warrior and the Priest Damar might speak that the man gave the entirety of the reward he earned from the Flaming Fist for the destruction of the Warsworn that haunted to the Coast for the last several weeks was given in donation to the Order of the Broken Blade, a Tempurian order dedicated to caring for and assisting warriors and clergy who were injured to the point of no longer being able to fight on the front lines. 15,000 gold in all.

The normal peace of the Halls of Inner Light was shattered this night when two lycans attacked the temple after one assumed the ruse of a mild messenger delivering a package to the Halls. Two in the Halls, Isabella Villame and Reineke Ingenium, were struck down, while Moonlady Rania Arowaven and the two guards by the door, Daven and Jared, were grievously wounded. One of the lycans was killed, while the other escaped into the Harbor district. Found upon the body of the slain lycan...a claw totem to the Beastlord.

As the nights grow shorter, and the cold takes its toll on those most unfortunate, Theodor Graysky, a Paladin of Tyr, is seen travelling the streets of the East Gate District, preaching words of encouragement to all who may listen.

"To aid those in need is but a reward in itself! No trumpets may sound before you, but those in need will thank Ilmater that you are here to aid them! Truly I say to you, you will have your reward in full; as a child may fill his stomach once more, or a man may survive another night but in warmth. When you give to the poor, let your neighbour know not what you have done; as Ilmater who sees what is done in secret, will reward you!"

A smile is given to all who may heed his words. He continues this throughout the day, until dusk falls upon him; in which he then makes his way to the Temple of Ilmater for the remainder of the evening.

This morning a young girl with silvery-white hair and clad in full red and silver armor ventures outside of the Halls of Inner Light and heads to the Farmlands, she puts up a few flyers at the Elfsong Tavern, near the gate and around the caravana stands in the farmlands. Then she heads further south.

A priestess, a druid, and a mage walk into the farmlands. No, this is not the set up for a bad joke, but instead what appears to be the start of a ongoing free food and healing set up. Hot meals for the hungry and healing for those in need. In one night, many were fed, strangers became friends, and one slain in battle was returned to life. Next time, the FAI.

A flier, posted to the gatehouse of Baldur's Gate;
COURAGE, HONOUR, COURTESY, JUSTICE, AND A READINESS TO HELP THE WEAK
Image

The Radiant Heart beats with vigor as a new generation of men and women proudly carry forward the flame of those who came before.

In the month of Nightal, by the day of Midwinter, let it be known that eight righteous souls lay down their worldly lives to answer the call of the Order.

In your defence;

Knight Theodor Graysky of Tyr
Squire Taevemira Fjord of Lathander
Squire Gaven L. Arkanis of Torm
Man at Arms Peder Fleming of Tyr
Aspirant Orkambaud de Saint-Agnan of Torm
Aspirant Calad Damien Rokh of Jergal
Aspirant Natali Athiel of Torm
Aspirant Feylar of Mielikki

May their honour increase as they strive in good service for your sakes.

These join their active service alongside Grand Historian Thedran Ansen of Torm, Chaplain Simon Atcharn of Torm, and Knight-Senior Anthem Arnemeiger of Torm.

O YE RIGHTEOUS! Ye who fear the Triad and love what is good, fear not the craven and wicked - nor any infidels of dark gods.
Their condemnation is just - and is at work, even now.

We are the arm of Torm's wrath,
the sword of Tyr's justice,
the hand of Ilmater's mercy,

To make the realm a safer place for the innocent, and a harsher place for the guilty,
we stay the righteous path.

Smoke billowed from the Courtyard of the Order of the Radiant Heart Chapterhouse this day. The rumor stands that a masked tiefling - who had previously summoned a succubi in the vicinity of the Friendly Arm Inn - was forcefully apprehended in the same region by Ser Anthem Arnemeiger. After arriving at the Chapterhouse with the prisoner in manacles, the tiefling was burned at the stake by magical fire until he was dead.

His blackened bones were buried in a shallow, unmarked grave in the Baldur's Gate graveyard.

((For anyone who might object to this method of execution as "unfitting" of a Triadic Order, as has been expressed privately, know the extreme magical fire used ensured it was a brief occasion (as opposed to the long gruelling process of natural fire), and the devil was unconscious for the worst of it.

Torm demands a "quick and painful death" of traitors and this was deemed satisfactory. What better than holy fire to purge the evil from among us.))

A golden haired sun elf, clad in mithal chain and longsword at her side known to some as Elyssa Symbaern, made a rare visit to the city. She stopped at a wanted poster titled with Bounty: Monsters at Sea, and noticed one stricken from the list. She was seen to have been smiling, and taken to a seat at the public fountain to play a melody on her harp; a melody inspired in heroism in classical elven make, to mayhap the chagrin of one lute playing regular public performer.

Ser Anthem Arnemeiger, Senior-Knight of the Order of the Radiant Heart, took the platform of the East Gate District before the regular dawn service of the Temple of Torm. He was dressed in full knightly regalia of his Order, his arms and armor presented in impeccable condition, much in contrast to the slowly deteriorating glory of his aging, battle-worn body.

After a gathering a small interest - mostly from faithful already on their way in from the farmlands toward the Temple of Torm, and those common laborers who rise before dawn to begin their day of toil - the world-weary knight bellowed the dogma of the Triadic gods in a great voice of command - an impersonal recitation for the admonishment of the people;

"Salvation may be found through service. Every failure of duty diminishes Torm and every success adds to his luster. Strive to maintain law and order. Obey your masters with alert judgment and anticipation. Stand ever alert against corruption. Strike quickly and forcefully against rot in the hearts of mortals. Bring painful, quick death to traitors. Question unjust laws by suggesting improvement or alternatives, not additional laws. Your fourfold duties are to faith, family, masters, and all good beings of Faerun.

Reveal the truth, punish the guilty, right the wrong, and always be true and just in your actions. Uphold the law wherever you go and punish those who do wrong under the law. Keep a record of your own rulings, deeds, and decisions, for through this your errors can be corrected, your grasp on the laws of all lands will flourish, and your ability to identify lawbreakers will expand. Be vigilant in your observations and anticipations so you may detect those who plan injustices before their actions threaten law and order. Deliver vengeance to the guilty for those who cannot do it themselves.

Help all who hurt, no matter who they are. The truly holy take on the suffering of others. If you suffer in his name, Ilmater is there to support you. Stick to your cause if it is right, whatever the pain or peril. There is no shame in a meaningful death. Stand up to all tyrants, and allow no injustice to go unchallenged. Emphasize the spiritual nature of life over the existence of the material body."

Included in the group of gathered listeners is a bald monk of the Old Order, who listens to the knight's recitation quietly. When the knight is finished speaking, the monk bows and departs.
