I tried reverting to last weekend's Backup then patched up to yesterday, when things were working OK, then only add area and item changes from the update I was trying to push out today. Still no-joy on XP issue.
I will need to spend awhile locally back-patching to figure out what happened, what broke, and correct it with Rasael's help. This will take hours...
I made a ServerVault backup about a half hour after this mess started. I highly suspect we will roll-back to that once the update issue is resolved. Hopefully the few of you who got XP-losses early on have screenshots to share with DM Team to get your lost XP restored.
Meanwhile, we all have RL stuff to do, as do I. Already lost half of my day-off putzing with this. The Server is on/up. I will drop the Player password, but be forewarned - you may loose XP, whatever you do today, maybe tomorrow, will very likely be rolled back.
Sorry. Sometimes stuff happens.

Unfortunate situation, for some...but let's put this in perspective: Duster was trying to upload improvements! And sometimes things just go FUBAR. Sometimes painful progress...is still progress!

Can someone who has lost XP on an ECL character confirm to what level / XP total they were decreased?

I went from 411k to 253k on my drow

There it is, then. Server is set to allow 253,000 xp, which is level 20 for ECL3 classes.

I was also unable to get more xp once i was stuck at 253k
When i killed monsters i didnt get a single xp for it

Please post to the appropriate thread. This thread is for server outages and crashes.
As announced previously, there will be a vault rollback to about eight hours ago from the timestamp of this post to correct the XP loss issue with the latest update.

Okay, help me out here: the Vault Rollback has yet to occur, and WILL HAPPEN once the No-XP-beyond-23 problem is solved?
That means currently, any gains—XP, coin, loot, even auctioneer purchases/sales—are NOT going to exist once the Vault is rolled back, yes?

FYI - Server 2 is running for closed testing by Staff. Looking better.

I run some generic tests and as far as i can tell there are no critical issues the way S2 is setup.
Some fixes such as the spawns in the bear cave are working.
Unfortunately i had my local vault cleared a week ago and i dont have spellcaster to run detailed tests with spells.

Currently experiencing lag. Time 17:37 GMT. There was an earthquake or something that caused the screen to shake at Friendly Arm (though I can't say if that is the cause) then it started lagging soon after that. For example same sentence appeared 4 times in a row. Text delay is over 2 minutes or it's possible I'm hanging on a ghost server.
Addition: My last text line hasn't appeared yet so I'm leaning towards server crashed but doesn't know it yet or didn't tell me option. Aaand text appeared with everything in queue about 5 or so minutes later. Also a friend who logged out way earlier appeared to log out only after that 5+ minutes.
Timestamp: 17:49 people timing out or logging off, lag seems to have gone down, I am actually surprised it did not time out, it was looking pretty grim with extended lag
