Most Honored Dukes and Duchess,

I hope this letter finds you well. I have some very strange and troubleing comments to bring to you, asked of me of a Mysterious group of angry Wood, Mood, Wild and Sun elves. The speaker or leader was one who wore Ornate Ancient Armor. These Mysterious Elves were very brazenly clear of their hatred for humans and half elves and asked me to pass on this message to you. I respect the Elven ways being raised by wood elves of the east myself and even though I am not a full human, I am sending this message to you in hopes you can make some sense or use of it.

*she translates all of the Elven flawlessly to common as she writes it*

This was after we had defeated the group of Human Mercenaries called the Blackened Blades deep in the Sharp Teeth woods at their compound helping to defend the Elven village of Doron Amar, our friends and allies.

The Mysterious Elf in Ornate Ancient Armour said "you Know now what it means to be a Sharp Blade."

*she goes on to tell what happened next and what was said each time*
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: I have four gifts for you.
Mysterious Wood Elf Ranger: *throws a bandit head at Elvina's feet*
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: For the elves of Cormanthor, slain by chondathans.
Mysterious Moon Elf Bard: *he throws a mercenary head at Elvinas feet*
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: For the elves of the Shilmista, slain by Calish ites.
Mysterious Sun Elf Fighter: *throws what looks to be one of the mages heads, given the mask, at Elvina's feet*
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: For the elves of the Wealdath, slain by Tethyrians.
Mysterious Cold Eyed Moon Elf: *throws a final head at Elvina's feet, another mercenary*
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: For the Dukes of Baldur's Gate, placing a yoke upon the people of Doron Amar.
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: *a cold anger enters his voice* For the pollution their halfbreeds bring.
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: For the corruption of our traditions and the loss of our past.
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: Better you look to your own people, Lady Elvina. The Blade of the People is sharp, and they remember their anger.
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: Take the message to your people. This is the reward you are given for fighting for the people this day.
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: Release the yoke from Doron Amar.
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: *the elf looks out over those gathered*
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: The people, and the people only. *turns his back, and speaks in common* Lady Elvina, deliver the message, and save your people.
Mysterious Elf In Ornate Ancient Armour: It is from the million souls your people have taken, and their anger.
They then teleported away and I cast a Trace Teleport which lead to a Random Glade in the middle of the Sharp Teeth forest. I gave the Trace Teleport to Miss Laya of Doron Amar to do as she wishes with it. This is all the knowledge we have on them at this time. I did not include the severed heads for sanitary purposes. I hope this information aids you in protection of the people as I do not believe these to be idle threats.

Sincerely,

Lady Elivina Aira-S'efarro
Senior Knight Counselor of the Order of the Silver Rose

Dukes of Baldur's Gate,

Kraak Helzak and Baldur's Gate has a standing alliance, made from our previous agreements. Recent actions taken within the duchal palace questions the sanctity of these agreements, as two representatives if Kraak Helzak were thrown out as if they were outlaws. To our understanding the representatives were given the nod to enter the inner palace room, and were then attacked and arrested as they dipped their heads in respect to the Duke. We can very well see that our representatives may have been uninformed of proper palace conduct, as they did not wait for introductions to be made once given the nod that their presence was allowed. They're not accustomed to the role of a representative, unfortunately.

However, the way in which the flaming fist officers responded severely questions their judgement, and has put a strain on our relations. Without adequate appologies given, Kraak Helzak will be forced to reconsider our alliance with all the consequences this may unfortunately bring. Hence, we hope to resolve this dispute as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,

Seal of Kraak Helzak's council of four.

Dukes of Baldur's Gate,

It is our duty to inform you that these demands shall not be met presently. You've spoken of reason, yet we still find your efforts bent on laying all blame on Kraak Helzak for the incident, rather than seeing your part. Add threats to dissolve our treaty, your obligation of payment to debts owed, and our hand is forced to dismiss your reason entirely.

Once more, Kraak Helzak will ask for a formal appology and actions taken to reprimand the culprits, as well as steps to ensure that such actions shall not happen again. A breach of conduct is of less severe concern than deadly violence, and as such adequate recompense shall also be required for offense commited against the citizens of Kraak Helzak.

Steps have already been taken concerning the two ambassadors for our part, whom have been educated on their error. We invite a representative of your court to inform all of our ambassadors of human court conduct, at our expense and under our protection, to limit such incidents in the future. This had been a most unfortunate event, one that we hope shall be corrected swiftly. We shall therefore accept the deadline given, the first day of Nightal, for the lords of Baldur's gate to grab reason once more.

Signed,

Seal of Kraak Helzaks Council of four

A hooded man pays a street urchin a few coppers to put a letter into the hands of the guards at the Duchal Palace in Baldur's Gate. He watches from the shadows to see it delivered safely.

The letter reads:

To your Lords and Ladyships, I recently witnessed the brutal assault of a small crew of Amnian guardsmen tasked with collecting a miniscule toll fee for repairs to the bridge in the goblin-plagued lands outside Beregost. Given the current state of political affairs I thought it prudent to bring this action to your attention.

The ringleader of this villainous attack was an aging female minstrel, claiming to be the best bard in the land. She gave her name as Julindra Meynolds and seemed piqued when those poor foot soldiers from Amn didn't recognize her. If she is as famous as she claimed to be, no doubt she is known at court and perhaps needs a stern talking to.

To be commended in this wicked event was a beautiful, blue-eyed paladin whom I heard referred to as Cecilia. She gave succour to the downed guardsmen, healed them, helped them pack up their tents and bridge repair signs, and leave in safety.

Signed: An honest and concerned citizen that doesn't want to leave a name for fear of reprisals.

Prester Jax chuckles to himself at the thought of the bragging cow getting a slap on the knuckles from one of the Dukes. Other travelers had paid up with little bother, and received a bowl of hearty stew to help them on their way....but that woman was damn near a witch. Even minor revenge is sweet.

Blackness was a virtue and the road was full of mud
I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form...

Dear Dukes,

Hi.

It would be nice if you put up a sign letting people know you use jellies and gelats to clean the sewers. Really. It would be really nice of you to do that.

Okay?

Tarlu Uitlender.

PS: Really nice of you.
