GANGS OF BALDUR'S GATE

Shadows lurched across the docks district, armed with chains, knives, spells, and ill intent as they moved on their rivals.

A contingent of flaming fist troops in full riot gear fell upon them right as the two groups prepared to come to blows. Fist Bruisers with large clubs and heavy doses of excessive force subdued the two factions, Dragging them off the streets and and to the Fist dungeon.

As dawn rose, heralds were already spinning tales of the hard handed measure the Flaming Fist have been employing to clean up the streets of Baldurs Gate. Moral in the city is high, and the duke's get the first good press they have in a while.

Another vicious murder has been discovered in Baldur's Gate. This time it appears a son of a merchant house was killed on his way home from a night of drinking. After stopping behind the Hall of wonders to relive himself, he was cut crudely and viciously from behind.

Disturbing reports continue to trickle north into Balduran lands of the town of Beregost's continued slide into rampant crime and a surge in violent activity following Amn's large-scale withdrawal of most of its armed forces to go and reinforce the southern regions of the country's borders. The Temple of Lathander reportedly has been condemning the violence and criminal activity that is quickly becoming an everyday fact of life for the people of Beregost, and last night their protests were apparently answered when an unknown vandal defaced one of the Temple's walls with a crude depiction of a skull encircled in teardrops, the symbol of Bhaal, painted in what looked to be blood.

The temple's acolytes quickly worked to scrub it away once it was discovered at daybreak, but by then word of the dark deed had already begun to circulate through the town. Strangely enough, the act seems to be met with almost a sense of indifference by the weary townsfolk, who seem to have more pressing matters on their minds - such as guarding their coin purses from pickpockets as they traverse the marketplace - than some vile scribbling on a wall.

Bently apparently tired of the fighting and blocking of the doors to his inn showed off a golem to the people gathered in front. He gave a angry warning to anyone that cost his business coin.

Rumors tell tale of swirling dark clouds appearing at night, accompanied by shrill, hollow laughter. Those wise enough to steer clear of these clouds experience lingering sensations of being watched. Those who arn't as wise are rarely seen again. Regardless, in the areas around these clouds dark shapes drift between the long shadows searching for something or someone.

Rumor has it that Bentley Mirrorshade, proprietor of the Friendly Arm Inn, is considering doubling his guards and pushing their watch further out to the road that lines his walled hamlet.

Bentley has been grumbling to his patrons—and his wife, an unfortunate recipient of his complaints—about how business inside the hamlet, and especially inside the Inn itself, is declining in the wake of numerous violent instances upon the Tradeway, and near the entrance to his friendly inn.

He has been seen talking to the small Glittergold statue that sits above the back bar, seeking wisdom, of how best to deal with these disturbing times.

Four Feasts
Patrons of nature and those who hold the seasons in reverence celebrate the Four Feasts this day. A Priest of Gwaeron Windstrom organizes a feast on the grounds in the FAI. Bently jumps on the opportunity to entreat his patrons.

Deep in the forest of sharp tooth, a Priestess of Mielikki starts a bonfire and breaks into wild dance around it. The wood speaks as it cautiously encroaches to partake.

Rumors come of a warning of Beholder cultists spread around the sword coast as an army grows deep under the earth. A three eyed man offered to bring a group to help stop the cultis but was quickly turned away and denied by the folk around the fire in front of the Friendly Arms inn. There actions will not be without consequence.
