Re: Rumors of Beregost
In recent days a representative of the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange named Koba can be seen in Beregost inquiring about food merchants in the town. He approaches both traders in the town’s market and peasants from surrounding farmlands. He also inquires innkeepers about caravans from other states as Beregost is said to be a trade hub of the region. Koba apparently looks to make significant orders for foodstuffs, especially meats, whether from local vendors or imported from the Amn proper. He does his best to emphasise that developing trade could to large extent remedy a recent increase of taxes.
Unfortunately, Koba is gaining little attention in all the commotion that resulted from a supposed assassination. Still, Koba is relentless in his endeavors. He continues to ask around in hope that word will finally reach a capable merchant with whom he will be able to make a deal.

A random carrier pigeon flutters away from the Song of the Morning with a small note attached to it's leg.
The destination to those who spot it is unknown.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
A one-eyed dwarf enters the Jovial, and waddles up to the bar proper. Now seated, he is practically beaming with pride—the glow is just blinding, coming off of his bald pate.
*Gimme an ale...nay, gimme FIVE ales!" he says loudly, laying a number of coins upon the bar. "I'm gonna celebrate...and any are welcome to join me!"
Soon, he begins his tale....
"Me was in the hills above the blue devils' camp, with this quite capable sword dancer, when...a big nasty green swine of an Orc comes toppling over de hills, throwin' walls of fire around us, snortin' and a spittin' and a smellin' like a burned rat's arse...*har har he laughs* and...the sword dancer, he was a feelin' ill after a blue devil done cursed 'em good, but...I at first jumped when I saw those flames surroundin' us, yes I did jump!
But once that pig faced demon said the words 'become my slaves...or die....', my one eye bought rolled up all in way backward, I got so mad. I done focused I did, knowin' that this green swine endowed with magicks foul, and da only way to win from a stupid pig swine like this, is to be smarter! Aye, ol' One-Eye gots some smarts up here, you bet this ale he does!"
"Soz the first think I do is use this wand, taking meself and my mate out of sight, given us time. I done then took a good one-eyed good look at this foul swine, and he was like a walking firework, he was, all drapped in magicks foul. While the sword dancer high tailed it north along the ridge, I heard that foul slime pig skinned demon start chantin' some words, and I be knowin' it made a spell to see me. That only leaved me one choice..."
"KILL IT!"
"It be spittin' and yellin' foul Orc speak at me, but I not buckled one bit. Spell after spell it sent my way, but I know somethin' it don't—ol' One-Eye got this magic belt see, like a mirror it be deflectin' those spells good, aye. And soon, that rat's arse filth pig was done without spells to harm ol' One-Eye...and that is when the fun began, aye."
"I done run that beast south, through the blue devils' land and south, stabbing and cutting that green swine's magicks down til my blade was startin' to cut flesh...and did that pig scream when I did it. It screamed in pain so high that the blue devil's done come runnin' to us, and in the heat of battle, they done must have figured ol' One-Eye for a very fat and pretty type of der kin, cause they come alongside me and start te cuttin' and bout to be killin' that foul abomination of a living creature damned Orc nastiness with me when..."
*here One-Eye pauses for a moment*
"...that walking-talking swine done fled south like a the screaming baby stank pig it was! Done be a straight COWARD when it's magicks have done left him. Aye, nothin' but a two-legged swine without a sty, crying for it's mammy and running with it's little piggy tail between it's fat, slimy, covered-in-crap-from-being-scared-I'd-done-bought-killed-it crap covered legs! Aye!"
"That be my tale, lads, and lasses....now, come have a drink on One-Eye. I better enjoy dis moment of glory...for somethin' tell me that yellow backed swine gots me scent now...."
*for a moment, One-Eye is pensive...but then he shakes it off, and consumes about twenty more ales*

Edward Drath can be seen walking all around Beregost, asking people about recent events, and what's transpiring in Beregost. He can be seen asking commoners, and the blacksmith Thunderhammer. He can also be seen approaching the Craumerdaun household, and High Hedge. Whatever is he up to?

Re: Rumors of Beregost
A flier goes up in Feldepost's Inn. The hooded, red caped, and tattooed elf Wyn might be spotted entering the tavern. Quietly tacking up a notice. And leaving with a short discussion with Samuel to at least make sure it isn't taken down, and if he were willing, even usher people to take a glance up at it while they enjoy their drinks. It reads as follows.
A addendum is added to the flier.People of Beregost. In light of recent events, it has come to my attention that the people are fearful for their lives. And you've every to be so. A murderer stalked your people, a foreign man stands and takes watch at your gates. The woods are rife with danger and though those foreign men are strong at your gates, they are too few to give you the security you need.
In hopes of establishing broader business and thusly a larger selection of high paying, skilled jobs for your city, I am offering free self defense classes to your sons and daughters. Live not in fear, simply because you live a little further down the road than your neighbors. Cease worrying over your children, your husband, your wife, by learning the art of the bow, or the swing of a blade.
Those that can not afford a simple arming sword, or longbow, will be afforded one under the agreement that it is there's. They are thereby responsible to keep track of it, and are only afforded one. However, as it is incredibly necessary to know instruction will also include how to clean and maintain your blade or bow.
Classes will begin shortly. Please leave your name with Feldepost. Those that have not left their name can not be guaranteed a place in these sessions, as I will be supplying the simple arms involved and will need time to assemble them. You are encouraged to wear simple clothing. The classes will be held at evening, so as not to interfere too much with the coming Spring.
Lunch will be provided for those that take their training seriously. You need not succeed in every trial and task. But you must try. In this way, you will earn your meal.
Beregost will prevail. You will prevail.

Eldarian can be seen stopping and speaking with one of the local commoners near the town hall.
After a few exchanges of pleasantries and smiles along with the conversation, the Dawnknight hands over a note to the man and a few coin.
The commoner can be seen moving into the town hall after, as Eldarian makes his way back to the temple.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
Two people can be seen entering High Hedge estate late into the evening. One bears a resplendent golden cloak and the other wears a deep crimson.
An hour into the conversation the door to the Thalantyr estate suddenly slams shut on its own accord and locks, barring all from entry. The eerily silent golems take up their posts right next to the door and hover there for the next hour as the sun dips behind the horizon and trickles of moonlight begin dance across the land.
All is silent for a long while until a soft click of the door to the estate is heard and suddenly opened. A masked woman and a knight are seen striding out of the confines, unharmed.
As the light of the moon sweeps across the Dawnknight’s features, a fiery conviction reveals itself.
One more piece to the puzzle. . .

A Dawnknight with hair like spin gold can be seen making his way into the town hall of Beregost.
After a few fleeting moments he reappears from the building with a brow crinkled in heavy contemplation.
His shoulders are tense as he makes his way back to the temple with heavy strides.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
A golden haired Dawnknight and three others can be seen leaving the confines of the holy temple in the town of Beregost under the cloak of night.
They traipse lightly through the moonlit streets and weave in between the shadowed-clung buildings until they stop in front of a specific door to an old, abandoned home.
The group’s eyes are drawn to the sign hung upon it's frame. Heavy bolded letters with their imminent warning peer back at them.
CONDEMNED PROPERY & CRIME SCENE: DO NOT ENTER WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM THE AMNIAN AUTHORITIES.
With a flick of his wrist the Dawnknight produces a scroll in hand that lends to his companion’s relief before their attention is turned back to the sealed door.
A man in a hat can be seen whispering before a chill of winter creeps over the wooden barrier, breaking whatever had previously kept it sealed against intruders.
Once the group filters inside, the door is closed and not to be opened again. An eerie silence fills the void.
----
Sometime later, in the early rays of dawn’s light, the paladin is curiously seen roaming the town once more.

A tall, dark-haired man with the trappings of a northman can be seen leaving notes around various taverns and merchants of Beregost. The notes are roughly written, but read as follows:
"Swordsman looking for work, don't mind getting my hands dirty. Will only seek payment if successful. Contact RENMIR through Thunderhammer."
///
Can any guilds/persons interested please send a pm and rp it as a message to Thunderhammer.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
A Very Beregost Coup
Rumor spreads like wild fire throughout Amn, the Sword Coast, and the Western Heartlands that the Governess Isabella Benino of Beregost has been deposed from power by a coalition of Lathanderites, local Beregost leaders, the Sheriff de Oca of Amn, and some Amnian soldiers and deputies for her crimes of murder, theft, embezzlement and treason, among many others. Knight-Commander Eldarian Al'maire of the Song of the Morning temple, a key ringleader of the effort, is said to be given a hero level of applause from those gathered as he brought a bound and gagged former Governess Benino to the Song of the Morning temple to be held and charged for her crimes by the Sheriff de Oca. It is also said that Sheriff de Oca is now interim head of Beregost under Amn as the political fate of the town is worked out over the coming tenday now that the dark times in Beregost seem to be ending. Public proclamation is also given shortly thereafter that the Sheriff has written the Council of Six explaining Governess Benino's crimes and insisting on the removal all tax hikes imposed on Beregost, which the Council of Six swiftly agrees to do given the political embarrassment of Benino.

Re: Rumors of Beregost
A Ceremony of Bright Appreciation
Rumor spreads that a ceremony was held in the Song of the Morning temple in Beregost honoring those who aided Beregost in removing the alleged corrupt Amnian tyrant Isabella Benino. Adventurer friends and allies of the Lathanderite temple as well as bystanders and well-known and lesser-known townsfolk of Beregost attend the ceremony. The Most Radiant High Priest Kelddath Ormlyr read off a long list of names of those who aided Beregost:
Wyn
Edmund
Eowiel
Cela
Neschera
Cecilia
Dave Counterpunch
Tolan
Enora
Jassin
Tari
Endelyon
Fiera
Tegeus
Thalantyr the Conjurer
Sheriff de Oca
Thunderhammer
The Most Radiant reserved special mention for Eldarian Al'maire, who over more than a year and a half, at great risk to himself, had struggled and slogged in the dark and light to uncover what Benino was up to and when discovered to assemble a political coalition to cautiously remove her from power for her allged crimes. As a special thanks, Kelddath gifted a relic of the church, Saint Lighthammer's Armor of Divine Golden Brilliance, into Eldarian's care and service in the name of the god Lathander, Lord of the Sun.
After the ceremony ends, rumor spreads that final judgement regarding the alleged criminal Benino will take place within a few tenday, as the evidence against her is so extensive that it is taking some time to gather by Sheriff de Oca's office to judge her in full. Many a local Beregost resident, residents not of Amn originally, speak eagerly of seeing Benino's head departing from her body and of general unhappiness and displeasure with Amn, perhaps the kindest phrase being stated: "Amnians, they're awful, only one who ain't too bad is that Sheriff de Oca."
