[Meri watches quietly, giving little more than a smile and a nod as she goes about her duties in the kitchen. As Ivaris leaves the toys her smile brightens and she speaks softly]

'How good it is to hear the laughter of children here again.'

[almost as soon as she says it she turns quickly and sets to work on wheat bread, not meeting eyes. That wasn't sadness in her eyes... She pauses to eye the shadowed corners, and goes back to work]

"Well that was ni-ice of Ivaris. He s-seems to be doing better doesnt he sister?"
Abby watches him go, and then takes her pot of freshly boiled water into the infirmary where new patients await.

[She nods to Abby, the shadows forgotten again as her focus is drawn to lighter things. She smiles at the woman as she moves to tend her own duties.]

'It is grand to see things going well... Mercy truly smiles on us.'

[Meri leaves word with Adolina that was told to tell her that she was going on a trip. The details are not mentioned, and Meri takes very little with her.]

*Tessian leaves a note for Jonas and heads out with a large pair of filled traveling packs.*

As the sun fell in the sky and the shadows took hold of the streets of Baldur's Gate, a lone message is left on the door to the Sanctuary of Ilmater. The parchment is peirced by a dagger, and hung at less than eye level...

[Meri returns to the temple to seek rest and glares at the note. She eyes the alleyways and the road in front of the temple, not surprised when she sees nothing. With a murmured prayer she takes down the note and crumples it.]

'Bhaal shall wait. Murder can not hold what already rests in the arms of Mercy!'

[With a wary glance over her shoulder, she heads into the temple, praying for just a moment of rest...]

[Meri sits at the pulpit of the Sanctuary. She stands in for Brother Marcus who had exhausted himself bringing back Jonas from such a poor state. The saint looks noticably exhausted as she slowly repairs her robes. Occasionally she becomes lost in thought, trying to remember what happened. Other times she is heard whispering about Bhaalist Assassins and Shadows.]

Ivaris one again walks into the temple carrying three sacks.

He leaves after the delivery and returns moments later with a pitcher of liquid. Quickly he gathers the children and places bowls in a row along the table. He sets the pitcher down and begins to weave a spell. Slowly it begins to snow inside. The bowls he placed down begin to fill with freshly fallen snow. After a few moments he ends the spell and pours a fruity mix contained in the pitcher he brought over the top of the snow filled bowls. As the children enjoy the frosty treat he quietly slips away, a large smile across his face.

[After ten long days away from the duties she put on pause, Sister Merielle is once again seen about the temple regularly. The Light of Ilmater shines brightly once again in Sister Merielle, even if the woman herself seems dimmed, the Saint has returned to her path.]

[ A flourish of activity at the temple: A number of children from th docks, greeted Sister Meri when she returned to the temple. It took some doing, but several able hands aided, and donations were pooled. By th end of the day all was in order, smiles were plentiful, and in all the spare space the temple offered, were sleeping children. Full Bellies, lighter hearts, and marveling at soft pillows and warm blankets, they finally seemed to drop their guard.

Sister Meri hasn't looked so happy in a very long time. The welcome distraction, and busy work seemed to mend her shattered heart some.]

An unknown man walks the illmarite temple, he offers no advice, no moral platitudes but simply helps feed the children, tells stories, and words when asked or prompted. No judgements come from him. Sister Meri seems to know of his presence.

[smiles to the man, giving him a grateful nod, and continues her happy work.]

Sir Jonas leaves the Sanctuary after speaking with Saint Meri and Sister Addy and heads to get large sacks of flour and sugar, as well as a block of yeast, then begins to make his way back to the Ilmateri. Lugging the heavy items himself through the streets, he smiles to himself as he thinks about all those orphaned children staying at the temple.

"I will have to make another trip tomorrow, the way they are eating."

Several commoners look at the knight oddly as he lugs baking goods through the streets of the city.

*John Roland is seen walk in holding a sack of old books, some kids look at him curiously, he puts the Sack down and the kids run to it expecting some good ole' toys but find seven books... Two are Written by John Himself entitled Folklore and Fables of Baldurs Gate the book contains Stories from he heard from his Family and Friends as a poor Child growing up on a Farm, The other Freedom The book Describes stories of serfs and poor peasants who rose up becoming the successful Baron or who became a Paladin. one of the kids opened the bag and grunts seeing books and walks off as do several others... A little boy with Orange Eyes grabs a book, John grins at seeing the little Aasimer boy reading, a tear goes down John's eye as the kid reminds him of himself and John quickly walks out before crying anymore*
