Is it a lot of work to post an updated version of JEGS? Sure would be nice to be able to mess around with a few different builds in advance of the upcoming RCR.

Heh, I figured the reason JEGS doesn't get updated so often is because it involves a lot of work.

No worries, we'll trust in you and the dev team to decide on priorities.

It's not a ton of work but it's tedious and time is pretty scarce atm.

I'm having problems with the latest JEG, this is the message I get when trying to log in :

Neverwinter Nights 2 was unable to authenticate this module. Please reinstall your Premium module.

Can someone help please?

I am trying to test WildShaping but the only form available is the Dire Wolf. 5th level Druid shifting to a Dire Wolf.

JEGs for BGTSCC is crazy outdated to current/actual content on the Server. But not for want of trying! Thanks Le Valefort!

It may never get current, so one cannot rely on it for anything added since 2017.

Yeah I encountered weird issues the last times (module crashing immediately) and lacked a bit of time to understand what the problems were.

Wouldn't it be an option to make something on the server that allows people to test their builds.
Some one way room that you can enter to test a character which will get deleted once you log off.
Building in nwn2 can be quite tricky with no 100% RCR/all sort of new feats and a 3/20 rule to take into account.
Jegs is pretty much broke at this point with all the updates.

Edit:

Looking for the hierophant console command, can't find it in the feat files ((or overlooking it))

Here are the last 2 JEGs made by Valefort in 2017 (May and October):

Both are woefully out-of-date, and much of the functionality of Classes and PrCs on the actual server are not available in these JEGs because so much of said functionality is only available on the Server. And example is the Polymorph custom functions on BGTSCC. Another example is that many requirements for unlocking PrCs on BGTSCC are not enabled in these JEGs, and you simply cannot get access to the PrCs, even if you make a test build with the requirements.

Long ago, in 2018, after nearly a year of me politely and not-so-politely ( :twisted: ) bugging Valefort to update JEGs once again for the latest BGTSCC had to offer, he actually tried at least once, but the actual JEGs product he produced would fail to load. And, he didn't like the "work" it took to figure it out, since JEGs didn't actually help foster RP, it only fostered power building. Ohh, that Frenchy! We miss him! :mrgreen:

Anyway, my 2 cents on the issue is this: the only and BEST way to make something JEGs like in the future is to create a Server hosted JEGs, something akin to the Training Dungeon Area we currently have on BGTSSC (access from the Nexus), and thus when the Server is updated, this "JEGs" gets auto updated as well.

My idea is like this: just as QC members have to log in with a character name that starts with '[QC]', players would need to similarly create a test build named '[test]' xyz', and then enter a special transition to the 'JEGs Area'. There, they would encounter what one finds in JEGs, but...the trick would be that at every Reset of the Server, the Server auto deletes any Characters in our Vaults that have the name '[test] xyz' found there. Thus, you would never be able to abuse what you craete in the JEGs area map, and what you test out can never last beyond an 8 hour period.

There would probably be a host of other needed security measures put in place, which people much smarter than I can already imagine.

But at least we'd be able to test out ideas, right?!!?
