This comparison is kind of a moot point. As that is not how this server has ever worked. I actually used to play (and DM) on a server exactly like the one you described and I absolutely loved it. The trade-off in that system though, is that you never have to grind at all to advance, because your advancement is often not measured in levels. Most DM events were catered to every level category. This is not the case here on BGTSCC. Most events are not catered to the low level demographic, exploration is discouraged by having high CL monsters blocking travel in some areas, ect. This server is set up to cater to people who just want to make characters, and people who want to level grind, as well as people who just want to RP and do nothing else. Increasing XP across the board is not going to make anyone's RP any different, but it will help with the chore that leveling is.Aspect of Sorrow wrote:Tabletop sessions granting epic levels from 1 within a year's time is an exception, not a rule. This is especially true for levels 18 and later, when XP gain starts to get really low, and the amount of XP needed to level begins to increase a lot. The progression curve turns less into a "curve" at this point, and more into a brick-wall.
