*Elohir, out walking the tradeway south to Beregost, stops next to the temple of Bhaal. As he stops, he notices a man dressed in full plate, and a helm that covers his entire face. However, the armor itself is what gave the banite away. It had a red tinge to it, with large, sharp spikes shooting up on each shoulder. Only one man dresses like that, and according to the description left in the Keepers grove, this was Vishnir Tirandez, a banited wanted for murder with the Keepers.
Vishnir stopped and looked at Elohir with a menacing gaze and simply said "What!" . Elohir responded with, "You are a banited, accused of murdering druids of the Keepers of the Elder Circle." However, there was another with Vishnir, hiding in the shadows, dark enough that even Elohir could not see her. Suddenly, Elohir was attacked from behind (by Sendra, a female halfling warlock) before he could even draw his bow. Then he was attacked by Vishnir. (Um, a critical hit that deals 220 points of damage will do just about anyone in). As Elohir turned to put some distance between them and draw his bow, it was too late. They had wounded Elohir badly, and death came across the face of Elohir.
As Vishnir was preparing to take Elohir's body to the temple of Bane, Sir Dallenthel Wyndsoul approaches and questions the banite. Poised for attack, Dallethel destroys the banite and the female halfling Sendra.
After the battle, Sir Dallenthel uses a rod of resurrection and raises Elohir. This was not the first time Elohir had been that close to death.
After a brief converstion with Sir Wyndsoul, the two of them took the bodies of Vishnir and the one who was hiding to the Flaming Fist and threw their bodies behind cell doors. They were raised with their bodies behind bars and will now answer for their crimes against nature, the druids, and the Keepers of the Elder Circle.*
*Elohir returns to the Keepers grove and reports to Galen'ael and Daelthrien Silverleaf the events that were just described. He tells the members of the grove they must always remain on their guard, for they (the banites) appear at the least opportune time. And be sure to always watch your back. Elohir bows before Daelthrien and leaves the grove. He travels to the Shrine of Mielikki to meditate on what happened and to pray for the strength to destroy all banites. Elohir prepares for war.*

During the twilight hours of the night, everything seems to be quiet and still. Not a peep from the wildlife, and the goblins are hidden away... Then it comes, the sound of something being dragged down the road in the goblin woods, a trail of blood could be followed off the beaten path and to the Shrine of Mielikki. After another hour of silence, a horrible scream shoots through the air! A womans scream of agony and pain.
Birds nested around the giant waterfall are scared out of their sleep and fly off into the now dark dark night...
Another scream can be heard, again echoing into the empty landscape, not another soul around to hear. Screams for help also come forth from the dark woods, though they grow faint with passing time...
A final scream, not as loud as the others, but filled with more dread and despair.

*Note arrives by courier*
To whom it may concern,
A man named Amion has been arrested for assault and resisting arrest. He asked that I contact you to plead on his behalf.
Please contact me as soon as possible about this issue. He has expressed a general lack of knowledge concerning Baldurs Gate law. I feel his time in jail is not helping the issue either, I need someone to educate him in our ways that is familiar with them so that we may release him early.
Thank you,
Officer Sarran Kev.

*The cave is dark and damp, and drips of water can be heard as they fall from the cave ceiling and hit the floor. There is a dark silence that bothers the mind, and the air is thick. There is little light, but that is no problem for an elf. Elohir can hear the steps of the minotaurs deeper within. He has prayed to The Supreme Ranger for protection and his bow is ready. It happened quickly, a monsterous beast with the head and horns of a bull...hell...the body of a bull, yet it walked and ran upright like a man, stampeded towards Elohir. With lightning reflexes, Elohir knocked two arrows at the same time and let them lose. They pierced the minotaurs hide and plunged deep within its chest. It fell with a thud. But it was the thud that brought the rest of them on Elohir. With in seconds, there were nine more, surrounding Elohir (literally, 9 minotaurs attacked me at the same time. I had to count the horns at the end to see how many there were. It was awesome). It was a ferocious battle, one that was simply a blur to Elohir. Instinct took over and arrows were flying from his bow. A flurry of arrows that hit with pin point accuracy. The battle seemed to last an eternity, but it was over in mere moments. Nine minotaurs lay at the feet of Elohir, truely Our Lady of the Forest was with him.*
*As Elohir recovered from the battle that just ensued, he heard foot steps approaching from behind him in the dark. A man, tall and dressed in full plate, with a shield and mace, hooded in darkness stood before him. At first the greeting was pleasant, but that did not last long. It was obvious this man had dark intentions. And Elohir was out for war.
Elohir introduced himself to the man, "Greetings friend, I am Elohir, Ranger of Mielikki, and Pathfinder of the Keepers of the Elder Circle." (Hoping that my introduction will bring out the banites). The man stood silent for a moment, and the air thickened. Then he said that he left an offering near the grove of the Keepers. Elohir stood silent for a moment, thinking of how the poor women suffered at the hands of a murderer, a banite. Elohir responded, "and what exactly was your offering friend?". The man said that she died slowly, tortured as a message of what is to come. To be sacrificed as an offering, a message to the Keepers that war was upon us.
Elohir quickly summoned Kiowa, his faithful and loyal companion. She attacked the man while Elohir knocked two arrows and let them fly. They struck hard, and Elohir knocked two more arrows, and they flew from his bow to strike the man dead.
After the battle, he inspected the body for any evidence that he could take back to the Keepers. It was Richard Dusk, member of the Church of Bane. He was the one who murdered the female druid outside the grove, by his own confession.
Elohir returns to the grove and reports the information to Galen'ael and Daelthrien. He bows low, and leaves to meditate in front of the Shrine of Mielikki.

///Thanks man///
*Elohir stops at the shrine of Mielikki and kneels before her with the utmost of humility. He meditates for a few moments, then gets up to give a report to the Keepers. He walks into the grove and speaks with Galen'ael and Daelthrien.
"I have grave news brothers. It appears that Tomar the Black and Vishnir Terandez have escaped from their prison. They are on the lose again, and will most likely be plotting against us. We should be on our guard. I shall attempt to locate them and find out what information I can regarding their dark schemes. I will report back when I have something to report."
With that, Elohir bows low to the Keeper and the Warden, and leaves the grove. He stops once more at the Shrine of Mielikki, bows low and then leaves to prepare for his next task.

*A raven perched in a tall poplar scans the forest floor. More adventurers have sought out excitement and riches in the dangerous Cloakwood forest. Dangerous not only because of the Lizardfolk and monsterous spiders, but because of the presence of the Shadow Druid who is always watching. The raven watches the adventurers as they make their way through the forest until they were finally out of sight. With a muffled caw the raven leaped from the branch and glided to the forest floor. Just as the raven was about to touch ground it shifted shape quickly and smoothly, and with elven grace a cloaked druid stood amongst the trees. Mauglir the Dark, Shadow Druid of the Cloakwood, removed his mask and looked around. His mask was hideous, black and red and demonic in appearance, designed to instill fear in both man and orc. The mask was his identity in the Order of the Shadow Druids of the High Forest, the only appearance of Mauglir. Now that his mask was off he was Faerynn again. A nicer person altogether and more tolerant of trespassers in his woods.*
“I really must send word to Galen'ael of the Keepers about my findings of the Banites,” he thought to himself.
He walked over to his small cave in the woods, really just a depression in a rock wall about 15 feet into the side of a hill, and pulled out some parchment and began to write. A raven flew in to meet him waiting for his instructions to deliver the note to the Druid Grove for Galen'ael. After some time, Faerynn gives the note to the raven, “Deliver this message to the Druid Grove, you know where it is. When you have delivered it return to me, for I have another task for you to complete before I release you. Now go.”
Faerynn pulled out another noted he had been writing for several days as he watched the raven disappear into the forest. “I must finish this message for my Master and have it delivered soon,” he said to himself. “He must know what challenges I face and I need his guidance in how to proceed.”
Faerynn unrolled the parchment and continued to write.

*The raven sent by Faerynn arrives at the Druid Grove, drops the note at the foot of a dryad and then flies away.*
The note, written in the strange Druidic language in an eloquently flowing elven script reads:
Keeper Galen'ael,
I have not been idle since our last meeting. I have traveled far and discovered information about the Banites, but I have been delayed in getting word back to you as this mission is fraught with danger.
Galen'ael, when we last spoke you told me that you believed the "Hooded Menace" was a Banite named Lokie. A very dangerous Banite indeed and I have personally not had the pleasure of meeting him; but I have spoken to others who have. I have encountered the Hooded Menace twice now and I can assure you that he and Lokie are not the same person, unless some magic is involved. The Hooded Menace is a gnome, an evil gnome and full of hate. Those I have talked to who have encountered Lokie say he is a relatively tall man. At this time I have still not uncovered the true identity of the Hooded Menace and doubt I will, as they are very secretive about their true identities.
My brother Elohir has already sent word to you about Vishnir, another powerful Banite. One that I will personally be keeping an eye on whenever I can spare it.
Perhaps even more disturbing is the news of drow Banites. I have encountered a drow in the orc caves near the temple of Bane; myself and Frah Fleetfoot, a friend of mine. I killed the drow and so did not get his name, but it does not matter. The point here is the Banites have allied themselves with the drow and I am sure there are more of them. This alliance is disturbing considering the news of the number of drow coming to the surface near Durlag's Tower.
Also disturbing, but hopefully unrelated, is the number of red cloaked wizards I have seen traveling on the Tradeway lately. I have even had to destroy a couple of undead the wizards have summoned, and fortunately I have not met with much resistance in that effort. I do not yet know the significance in the increase of these red cloaked wizards, or even if they are Thayan, but my first thought was one of dread. If the Banites have allied themselves with the Thayans also, then this bodes poorly for the Keepers. I will continue to seek more information regarding these alarming trends.
I will stay vigilant and alert and continue to report my findings to you.

Silvanus shrine has a small pouch hammered to it. Many nails stick out of as if some one had been just nailing them in for the fun of it. Next to the shrine on the ground it's self a few bear traps have been set. Inside the pouch is a letter.
Dear nature people.
Due to my upbringing under ground with my dwarven kin I have not had a chance to experience nature. I would like to contact one of your kind to help show me around and really appreciate nature. Contacting you was suggested by a elf and orc on the road. Look forward to our future dealings. Send any response to the tavern in beregost.
Forever pretty,
Colt.
P.S. I didn't set the bear traps you see. They were here when I arrived. If some thing gets snared in them I will come rescue it, so don't trouble your self with its rescue.

*Faerynn travels to the Shrine of Silvanus for prayer and meditation as he does every week. He has just left the Shrine of Mielikki and he usually enjoys the walk, his spear in one hand used as a walking stick, his favorite raven flying overhead, which has no name, and his pet spider, Seacho, walking next to him. He has been walking for a couple hours and the sun is high in the sky. He finally reaches the top of the hill of the Shrine only to witness it's desecration by the crude attempt to nail a note to it. In disgust he rips the note from it being careful no to step on one of the bear traps, and looks around to see if anyone is around who might have noticed who did this. He sees no one and opens the note.*
"An underground dwarf?" he ponders. "Duergar! Why can't these races just stay below ground?"
"This is an obvious attempt to lure us out. He cares nothing for nature and even less for those who do," he says to himself.
*Faerynn collects up the bear traps and packs them up to destroy them later, then begins his meditation*
"Seacho, keep watch while I pray. Even now the Shrines of Mielikki and Silvanus are no longer safe. We must be cautious."
*After Faerynn finishes his meditation he packs his things up and begins walking to the Grove*
"We should deliver this note to Keeper Galen'ael. I'm sure he will be interested in knowing that the Duergar are interested in Druids."

*The forests have been quiet as of late, and Elohir moves silently through the Cloakwood. The dew covers the ground and leaves, and the sun is beginning to peer over the horizon. Elohir can feel its warmth on his face, and he takes in a deep breath. He is on his way to the Shrine of Mielikki, and then to pay a visit to the Keepers Grove to speak with Daelthrien.
Elohir kneels before the Shrine of Mielikki, and prays and conducts a period of meditation before getting up to go into the Keepers Grove.
Once inside the grove, he bows low to the Warden Daelthrien and speaks with him about the banites, the troubles in the past, and the recent silence that has come over the forests.*
"The banites are not moving anymore, they have stopped their attacks on the druids, and several of them have spent many nights within the jails of Baldur's Gate. Several, to include Vishnir Tirandez, were destroyed only to be raised and then somehow escaped the prison walls they were sealed behind. With the absence of the banite attacks, the forests themselves have been pretty quiet." *After what seemed like several hours of discussion, and a few cups of tea, Elohir takes his leave of Daelthrien and departs.*

*Galen'ael reads the notices and replies, short and to the point...the messages going to all who left word*
All Banites, due to their crimes against Nature and open hostile action to those of the Grove and our Seekers are to be shown no quarter.
Continue to report any information you learn of their schemes, but information from the Banites themselves is no longer a concern...let their blood feed the soil.
No Deugar or any other races of the Underdark are to be trusted...I will seek the Dwarf myself, this matter is for those of the Council.
Seekers...continue your vigilence...We of the Grove are proud of your efforts and heart in this time of challenges, such effort will be remembered in the days ahead.
I will be amoung you again shortly...matters about the wilder places have had my attention lately.
--Keeper Galen'ael.

*Elohir walks into the grove and finds the note left by Galen'ael. He then leaves a note on the table where the council sits for all to see.*
The presence of drow has become almost common place within the very forests that I, as a Ranger of Mielikki, have sworn to protect. Even the smell of them taints the air we breath. I have met and seen many who have taken it upon themselves to destroy the foul creatures from the underdark. The very presence of the drow on the surface indicates an alliance with the banites. The banites however, have been quiet for sometime and I have not seen or heard them in sometime now. But it is their silence that speaks volumes, and I'm sure that something is afoot. I shall remain on their trail, silent and in the shadows, and try to determine if the drow are consorting with the banites and what it is they plan. The enemy is at our doorstep, and we need to take action now.
*Signed*

((Sorry for the OCC, but this needs to be seen by all Grove Members and Seekers))
((Once Phelan, Vinny the Squid, BNLLSteeler, lets me know his availability...I will be running an iniation event for him. ALL members of the grove and Seekers are welcome to join in. The time will be dependant on Vinny's availability...cause it's his party and he can cry if he wants to...I'll doing similar things for Seeker Iniates when C-Man/Cart say your ready per guild guidelines and screwing with grove members/seekers at random if I feel like now that I'm back, just like do for the Banites...though Ironfaar has my priority))
