Server crashed again after a period of immense lag - 0230 forum time.

I don't know if this will help with narrowing down how the lag/crashes are happening, but during an earlier lag spike (which did not result in a full crash), the following players were on:

Server will be down for 15 to 45 minutes for maintenance.

Back up.

Just tried to login but it timed out.

Server timing out. Second time within an hour. Time is now 17:49 GMT. It's also been laggy before the time out.

We started in Nexus after last time out.

Added: As well after this second one.

Appears the server is completely unresponsive, and extremely laggy time is 22:27.

Can also confirm. I've not had a single thing come through the chat window in 10+ minutes.

Based on what I'm observing and today's string of crashes, it looks like there may have been something in this morning's update that's causing undue stress on the system. (That is, it doesn't look like an attack.)

I've brought it to the attention of the lead developer and programmer. Hopefully we can troubleshoot it, or, failing that, rollback the last update if the crashing continues.

It went down and seems to stay down.
