A young half-elf dressed in dark colored clothing takes a seat in the guest lounge, kicking his boots up on the table as he removes his hood and starts running his slender fingers through his silken black hair, tossing his sword to the side and sighing in relaxation.

*a note is given to Ivaris to be passed along*
To the Weave Masters,

I have met some of you and I have had good company these days. I hope this will continue and you'll consider me as a candidate for joining your order. The man named Ivaris can vouch for me as a friendly sort, and I keep honest company. If there are any formalities or tests that need to be placed before I am an official member, please let me know. I look forward to seeing and sharing company with you.

Sincerely,
Thelissar

*The reply composed in elegant flowing script is left at the Elfsong, usual place for exchanging correspondence, on the off-chance the addressee would pick it up*

"Dear Thelissar,

Thank you for your interest in joining the Weave Masters. Since you have already met Ivaris, I am sure you are aware of our goals and purpose. To be fully inducted, however, you will need approval of half of the Council members.

Please come to meet us at the Istari at your convenience.

Sincerely,
~Aileen Lonergan,
The Weave Masters Council."

A piece of parchment in what almost appears to be what could call "chicken scratch" is placed on the table, held down by a former burning candle.
To Miss Aileen,

I will try to make my way to the Istari tower later this evening. As a token of my commitment I shall bring a scroll of arcane magic befitting to your order. Perhaps I can even bring two? I hope we can discuss matters regarding my candidacy and approval with the council and other members.

Humbly yours,
Thelissar

* A note left at the tower*

To whomever is concerns.

My name is Trent Blake, I have met assorted members of this guild. It has come to my attention that the guild is of lady Mystra, considering this I would like to present myself for possible membership. As for my qualifications

Firstly I am Mystra's paladin, this duty takes first priority in my life above all other mortal concerns. I am a capable sorcerer, I am also well versed in the art of martial combat, and blending both skills together. My skills are focused nearly entirely upon combat, it is my calling and the skill that I use to uphold Mystra's church. Lastly, I studied some years under the teaching of a elder sage, whom hailed from Candle Keep, and he taught me several of their renowned magical arts.

Any questions I will answer in person, though I would like to discuss the guild as it is greatly unknown to me. I will await any summons at the temple of Mystra.

Mystra's grace

Trent Blake
Written on decent quality parchment, written rather precise and formal - This letter being left at the Temple of Mystra for 'Trent Blake'. The seal of the Isatari Tower being left on it.

"Sir Blake,

It is always a pleasure to hear interest in the guild, tower and fellows - especially when being of a paladin of her grace, Mystra. Tis difficult enough to come along with honest good fellows, but your kin seems to be far and thin along the lands these days. I understand the guild is unknown to you and can give you information on inquiries as you wish.

The current affairs of the guild is in a bit of a stretched limit, our Council who heads all major affairs of the tower are having to oversee many things. I've offered to help them in dealing with inquiries, information, or potential or curious fellows seeking the guild. I'll be aiding the Council in getting information about any potential individuals about seeking to join the guild, or inquire. I can essentially help relay information between you and them in a more hastely manner than letting them having to spread too thin.

I am known as Iron, I head the Research and Experimental Wing of the tower. If you have any questions you wish on parchment, just have it sent to the department, and you'll likely get a faster response. If you have questions for the councillors themselves, you can gladly include that in the message and I will relay that to them for a quicker response. It's been a pleasure even seeing future individuals like yourself arriving in the region here. We look forward to hearing back from you. "

*A small cat enters into the tower with a message titled Bernard on it*

((Note says)) Bernard, I've much to report on the investigations that you have sent me on. I will need to setup another meeting with you as soon as possible. Also I was wondering if there has been any word on my entry into the weavemasters? You may send Krinal back with a message if you like, if not just send him on his way and he'll find his way back to me quite easily. Thank you for your time. -Sevola K'ornavan

To Miss Aileen and the Council,

I have awaited for some time to hear a word back from one of you, but have not heard anything for some time. I hope all is well with the rising shortage of food, and that you have taken consideration into my candidacy. If you wish to speak further, please send a note for me or a letter left here at the lobby of the Tower so that I may read it.

"Dear Thelissar,

Please accept our apologies for the delay with reply.

I regret to inform you but upon consideration of your candidature we came to conclusion that we are unable to offer you a position within the Weave Masters ranks at this moment.

Best of luck to you in your future endeavours.

*Wallace purchases the fanciest of paper and most elaborate stationary... from which, the old man splatters ink here and there and writes with shaking and aging hands.

On the cover of the envelope is a blue stamp of the mark of Azuth. When the envelope is pried open, the blue wax dissipates into a blue fog that rises like smoke.*

To the Gentle-Wizards of This Here Tower,

Mah name is Wallace T. Faulkner the III. I'm an old and mostly-retired paladin of our great Lord of Spells, Azuth. Now I ain't pointin' out mah age out of sympathy, hrmph. I'm just trying teh help yeh identify meh when and if I come by yer fine tower fer some tea.

A slight hint, I'll be the attractive older gent with the finest beard on this side of humanity. Hrmph.

Anywho, just wanted to send you fellers a note to make yeh aware of mah presence and to make yeh aware also that I am at yer disposal if'n yeh need wise and slightly-fuzzy ears to lend to yer cause.

I suppose I could have left out the fuzzy details, hrm-hrmph.

You'll generally find me at the Blade and Stars if'n yeh want teh seek meh out. Until next we meet, gents.

Aron's familiar, Moon, delivers a letter on his back to the first member of the Weave Masters that he sees.

To the Weave Masters,

I would like to commission up to five scrolls of Polymorph for 200 gold each. I need the scrolls for an experiment on the combat effectiveness of the spell.

Moon can deliver your reply back to my room in the Helm and Cloak Inn. Thanks in advance for your services.

Moon returns to Aron's quarters in the Helm and Cloak. Apparently, the Halruaan sorcerer no longer needs Polymorph scrolls.

Should Aron’s familiar or himself stop by the Istari Tower once more they would be handed an envelope bearing the Weave Masters insignia. The letter inside is composed in an elegant, flowing script.

“Dear Mister Times,

Unfortunately we do not have a store at the Istari Tower, as such we do not sell scrolls or any items imbued with magic. However, one of our purposes is educational one, alongside with promotion of the Weave responsible use. Should you be willing to learn spells from our arcanists, do not hesitate to send us a word. The doors of the Istari are always open for those wishing to learn magic.

Sincerely,
~Aileen Lonergan,
The Weave Masters Councilor.”

Somewhere just west of Neverwinter Woods sits a quaint stone house with a thatched roof. The house itself is dull, and overgrown with vines of various sorts. Outside a majestic garden is in full bloom. Flowers of every color throw their scents into the breeze, and small fountains feed a tiny pond. A small wooden gate opens to a cobblestone walkway leading up to the front door.

Inside, a fire glows and crackles in the hearth. Various books and potted plants clutter the place as a fair skinned woman garbed in a long, light blue dress goes about cleaning up after an evening meal. She smiles while scrubbing pans and listening to her husband and nephew converse.

"My mom told me you're a great adventurer uncle. Is that true?" The young boy is wide eyed, and he nearly falls off of his bench as he eagerly awaits his uncle's response. Without patience, the young boy of almost nine years old asks another slew of questions. "Is it true that you're a powerful wizard, and that you fought dragons, and beat up bad guys, and had golems, and...."

The bearded man stares almost wistfully into the fire as his nephew fires off his questions. His long, almost orange hair hangs loosely about his face and down his back. As he listens, he exhales smoke from his long hand carved pipe. Almost a purplish hue, the smoke lingers in front of the hearth before seemingly taking the shape of a flying falcon and diving into the chimney. He turns and looks to his eager nephew, and in the older man's eyes, a bluish flame ignites for just a moment. Long enough to halt the questioning, though one might think it to be a trick of their own mind. They sit together in silence only a moment before the uncle answers.

"Youngling, you were brought here to learn your letters were you not?" The man smiles as he asks. "I was no great adventurer, but learning your letters is why you are here, not for grand tales."

A shadow falls over the child's face, and a rise of anger shortly follows. "Uncle, how dare you call my mother a liar!" The young boy's voice rises as he speaks. "I'll tell my pa when he comes to get me, and he'll pummel you for it! He's twice your size!"

As she continues putting things away, and tidying up the house, a grin widens on the maiden's face as the child mentions her brother in law. In her mind, her sister's husband could use a lesson or two in manners, which she knows would be the outcome of such a confrontation.

An exasperated sigh escapes the older man's mouth as he sets down his pipe and turns to face his nephew squarely. His eyes bore into the child's as he speaks. "Do not be so quick to anger young one. Your mother did not lie, she merely does not know the whole truth in the matters of which she spoke."

"So you're calling my mother dumb! That's even worse!"

"No, your mother is not....dumb. She was merely not present during those times. Since this is your first night with us, we will get this tale telling out of the way, and be on with your learning tomorrow."

Many hours later, after the tale was told, the older man was tucking his nephew into bed. "So you see, I was not a great adventurer, only lucky, and blessed by the Lady of Magic."

The child smiled as his eyes grew very heavy. "Uncle Elias, will you ever return to Baldur's Gate?"

"I do not want to Sam, but if Mystra wills it, then I will go." With that, Elias finished tucking his nephew into bed and kissed him on the forehead. "Sleep tight youngling."

As he left his nephew's bedside and returned to the kitchen, his eyes connected with Lilly's. A brief moment passed before her gaze turned to the locked chest near the foot of their bed. "I know what you truly need to be happy my love." Her eyes shone, and her smile was genuine as she spoke. "You know that I will always be here, no matter how long you need."

Elias hugged her tightly to him, resting his chin on her shoulder. His next words were whispers. "Until Our Lady calls, you will have me here, though it has been a long time...."
