A traveling pair...such an odd couple, really...arrive from the north into Beregost. It would be nothing more than a typical occurrence, really...except, the two keep up quite a loud and public banter.
And of course, there is more (isn't there always): just inside earshot, the odd couple of traveling companions "interact" with a person of unique appearance and sharp tongue. Blades and words flash respectively...but a combination of naivete and calm demeanor, leaves all parties to part ways with a bare minimum of memory of aggression.
But an encounter incomplete...that would be certain.

Eldarian delivers a scroll to the town hall in Beregost that is rolled and tied with a bright yellow ribbon. The seal of the Song of the Morning is stamped boldly upon its face. It is left with the attendant on duty.

In the light of dawn, a neatly cut and pressed slip of parchment finds its way onto the local notice board. It speaks of a ceremony to be held within the coming week by the Lathanderites of the Song of the Morning temple and welcomes interested parties to participate and spectate as desired.
[[ To be held Thursday the 24th of September at 1800hrs GMT ]]

Shortly after sundown a confused gnome can be seen reluctantly leaving the comfort of the Beregost prison. He is later spotted wandering the streets, obviously lost, asking passersby where he might find the 'House of Eldarain.' An overloaded merchant closing up shop beckons the little 'cutter' over and can be overheard giving the gnome directions to the Church of Lathander.
The next morning clerics of the church find a simple tunic in the donation box. Prayers of thanks are given after opening the tunic to find enchanted pieces of jewelry and precious gems.

Carson Craster clenched his teeth as the crier announced the proclamation: the gnome was free. His sunken, weary eyes attempted to blink away the stinging fatigue gathered from days of watching the jail; days without sleep or rest, with paltry meals bought and delivered through urchins. He had expected calamity to set the gnome free, for the dark mistress to come at the moment of justice and reclaim her possession, sweeping it all away. Instead, it was the stroke of a quill that set him free; meaningless, self-important lines on gilded paper, like those that dot a map and dictate only where one hypocrisy against the people ended and another began.
On the final day of his vigil, Carson would watch the gnome who had stood with the Drow leave the prison and wander the streets, leaving behind him men in cages whose crimes were lesser. Upon hearing of the gnome's 'donation' to the Church of Lathander, his stomach turned, but this too he would swallow. Undoubtedly in his mind the gnome would again fall under Her power and return. Next time he would know who to trust.

A gentle reminder is given to the citizens of the Coast that the fair is to be held today, in just a few hours time.
Peccator wrote:

Champion of Lathander, Cecilia Lafayette, makes it known to any passing through the temple and the town of Beregost that she is currently seeking a crafter of wands to fulfill a rather large order at decent cost. It would be stated that the Lady-Knight can be contacted via letter at the Song of the Morning should one willing to take up the work.

*Terri Lalani would answer that rumor with a letter stating that she would make wands at cost if it is is made clear that the wands will go towards a goodly cause. She states in the letter that she will contact you in the marrow to iron out the details.*

A dwarf and two female elves would have been seen entering the Northern gate of Beregost today, right on the turn of dusk. The elves thanked the dwarf for his company on their journey south and promised to have a significant tab ready for him whenever he would be next stopping by the Risen Phoenix tavern.
After a brief pause by the fruit grove, the two elves, one clad in blue and white robes, the other in more earthy tones, stopped by the Song of the Morning Temple. After staying inside for a while they eventually emerged, the earthy-toned one looking a bit flushed and the blue and white clad one looking contemplative.
The two would linger outside the temple for a while before they too split up, the earthy-coloured one disappearing somewhere in the village while the other made her way to the Risen Phoenix Inn to make good her promise to the dwarf, and to meet a pink-cloaked man bearing the symbol of Mystra upon it who had arrived in the town earlier in the day.

Rumour has it that some magical discharges caused not just one but two people to recently be taken by the wizard police of Amn. One was a black-haired and white-dressed woman and the other was a man in red. Some eye witnesses speak of darkness temporarily enveloping the entire area, and a shattered bench remains in front of the Belching Dragon.

A small group of merchants arrives longside the adventurers coming to town to investigate the troubles in Gullykin. While the mercenaries, swashbucklers and magic users make a brief pause on their way, the merchants prowl the local market and peasants from surrounding farmlands. They seem to be looking to arrange for a large order of foodsstuffs to be delivered to Baldur's Gate. They abviously arrived here in hope the own has surpluses in granaries despite the trouble times.

An out-of-the-way alley in Beregost sees the Sun rise to a gruesome scene. The dead body of a young woman, in her late teens or early twenties, is held up against a wall tightly with ropes. Flies buzz around the cold corpse, drawn to the open wounds - its clear the woman met a grisly death. The stench of death carries out of the alley in this sinister morning.

*A neatly prepared flyer could be noticed on many information boards along the coast in the cities, at the Inns and in other places where people like to congregate.*
*A long parchment with more details regarding the festival is usually pinned underneath the flyer.*
