I am saying that in my field (medical science) researchers pay hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars to reduce bias and still have failed. But, as everyone knows, you cannot prove a negative. So no, I am not saying objectivity is impossible, just that no one in the history of mankind has ever presented evidence to suggest it is 100% achievable. Evidence shows, at best, you can increase objectivity and decrease bias, not that you can achieve the former or eliminate the latter.

And, just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind(which is guaranteed if I keep reading this thread), I just tested amplify again on my bard. Boom, + 20 listen!

QC test content, and identify bugs, and suggest balance changes.

They do not code or make the changes though; and our scripters and devs only have so much time (They are working very, very, very hard at the moment as it is) so sometimes things slip through the gaps or take time to be resolved. I appreciate that more information would be ideal here, and its something I've asked for, but we have to be patient.

This makes the tone and content of some posts unhelpful, but I understand thats from not having adequate information to judge.

Also many players and staff members are working hard on bug stomping at the moment, and that is getting everyone frazzled - players and staff.

This issue clearly merits being looked at regarding balance concerns again. It will be on the list for the post bug stomping review. Although thats not saying it will change, only that it will be looked at again. Review is implicitly part of the process in this large update.

I'm going to ask for this thread to chill out as people are getting a little heated. Discussion is going in circles here, and getting very close to personal attacks. As Absolution says, it might be necessary to lock the tread if the same vibe continues.

Can we just remember that wedging yourself into a communication schism between fellow players is something to be avoided, even if inevitable-seeming. Golem is right that the QC team is overloaded with work right now, and though fair criticism is just as well-deserved as compliments it shouldn't outweigh the benefits; such as the lovely Uldoon's trail, there is no need to get all passive-aggressive, and I am referring to both players.

I'm looking into alternatives that will align with both Pen and paper and the fact that this is NWN2, which is different from Pen and Paper in many ways.
