Im getting a similar error to others, but its a different file.

Did you try restarting your client?

Delete the file from your MyDocuments\Neverwinter Nights 2\ Modules\Baldurs Gate TSCC directory (fx_eldath_pool_fx1.PFX), restart NWN2 and rejoin the module.

Ive tried restarting the client, the computer. Just tried deleting the file and restarting, still didnt work.

The game says its "fx_eldath_pool_fx1.PFX" the file it self is "fx_eldath_pool_fx1.PFX.lzma" does the .Izma have anything to do with it?

The LZMA is the compressed version of the file. Try deleting the lzma, restart nwn and rejoin the server.

Ive tried deleting the LZMA and ive tried extracting it. Then there is a new error about not being able to extract it.

Sorry for the double post. But it seems that even if I replace the file with what should be a good non IZMA one, the server overrides it with the IZMA one that it cant use. Is there any way to get around the server overriding it? (If I set it to read only it gives me a similar unpassable error :/ )

Try putting this file in your directory and deleting the LZMA one, see if that works.

Sadly that didn't do the trick. BUT I DID manage to fix it finally.

Advanced System Care Ultimate's real time protection was blocking the games access to the file. Just had to added "\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\" to the whitelist and all is now good.

We thought it might be something like this, but it's hard to suggest stuff without knowing more detailed information about your system. I'm glad to hear you got it solved!

Try deleting the file and redownloading it, it should be located in C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\hak

If it continues giving you issues through the auto-downloader, go ahead and delete the hak file and download it from here:

Then place the downloaded file into your "documents/nwn2/hak" folder.

got a new computer, yay!

was a pain getting my game updated to necessary version 1.23, but I did

now I try connect directly to server, and it does "connected to server", then the game crashes and nothing happens.

am at my wits end, been working on this for 4 hours now (whole new installation and updates)

any help would be appreciated
