Not to sound raciest.. but can we just like block all IP's from Korea?.. like wouldn't that fix majority the DDOS attacks? It's not like we have people playing there anyways..

Regarding the ddos...could we maybe proxy then PW the server, and post the IP/PW in a registered users only forum in the short term? Or would that be feasible/ineffictive?

It's just repeatedly crashing. Don't trust the numbers.

We might be experiencing some issues for a little bit so I would advise finding something to do for a hour or so instead of frustrating yourselves over this matter too much.. Our awesome ppls are working hard on it! So.. Go take a bath, eat some food, grocery shop... clean your house....... wash your dishes.... *grooowwwwlllls and looks at her chore list piling up before storming off*

I gave my cat a bath.. she was not pleased.. this is all your fault!

Ha ha ha ! Yeah, I gave up giving mine baths years ago lol. He's just a lot more happier and less stressed lol.

Well, I hope it comes back online soon.

The situation is kind of two-pronged.

First, we are still batting off DDOS attacks.

But second, we attempted to get our test server up last night to work on updates, but some things in the server's configurations were changed.

We're trying to fix those things so that you can log in again, but it may require we basically re-transition the server from the old host to overwrite the changes that were made (this won't change your characters, as we're backing up the server vault regardless).

So on the one hand, we are still being attacked; and on the other, we had an accident on our end, related to trying to work with a new host machine and a new Windows Server OS. The perfect storm!

We apologize for the inconvenience. I would encourage everyone to find something else to keep them occupied for the afternoon, however, or to check out some of our community's other fantastic game worlds while we troubleshoot this if you really need your NWN2 itch scratched. We appear to have run out of "maybe if I ..." solutions, and we will probably have to retransfer and reconfigure the server's infrastructure.

As to the above photographic suggestions:

1) Find me a group within 200 miles!!!

2)Been there...I cando that when im dead.

4) Put in a (un)happy little Dragon...flying around that happy little mountain...

5) 5 is right out....no.

6) Needs more Armor, Lances, and Shields..damsel needs more hair too...and a conical hat with a streamer.

hum.. I'm not a server wiz but.... puting a password in order to connect... well.. wouldn't that keep the server from attacks ? if the bots can'T log in then they can't harm us, no ?

Actually, no. Just pinging with a lot of connections will bring the server down, if I understand it correctly.
