Hey there party-people,
starting tommorow, thursday the 23rd of october 2025, I won't be around for at least two to three months. A long awaited heartsurgery got "just like that" made possible.
Rehab inclusive, following right after the surgery.
My Macbook will be comming with me which means that I will pop sometimes into discord or the forum.
Have fun and all good vibes

Well, the day is here! I am sitting in my hospital room waiting for some tests to come back before my dual Pancreas-Kidney Organ Transplant. Sometime in the morning I'll have a small operation that will prepare me for the big transplant surgery later in the day. Ill have about 10 days to 2 weeks of recovery in the hospital. Then probably a few weeks of down time recovering and all stitched up at home after.
Im excited and nervous and scared all at once. The mortality rate for the procedures is low. But, there can be complications with the pancreas. But, I am hopeful that I'll come out the other side and be able to get my life back and not have to dedicate so much of my life in treatments 3 times a week.
Ill talk to you all later! If I don't see everyone before Christmas time for some reason, then have a great holidays everyone!

So, as an update to this, I did get the call for organ transplant amd I did drive out San Francisco for the procedure. But, like most things in my life, it did not go as expected. I meantioned previously that I would have a small procedure prior to the transplant and confirm everything was looking okay. As the results of that came back, it was found that I would likely die of a heart attack on the operating table for transplant. I lost my hold on the matching organs that were being offered at this time. I then spent a few days in the hospital until I could get the surgery needed to fix the problem, which occurred on Monday, and I got home from the hospital today.
I had open heart surgery and the recovery is going to be fairly long, but I am feeling better now and quicker then I imgained going into the heart surgery. So, after about a 12-16 week recovery time, I should be placed back on the active transplant list. So that I can go through yet another long recovery after this one. Good ol' back-to-back recoveries. At this rate I am hoping for another call sometime in the spring. I had really hoped that 2025 was going to be the year I could get much of my life back and have the transplant surgery. But, this did cause some delay to it. Though, I am grateful to have found the issue before a surgery that likely would have killed me and that it is done now.
There is nothing like having your sternum opened and healing to make you just need a lot of help to do even very minor things that you might take for granted. But, my recovery has been very fast thus far, I will likely still be unable to log in much until closer to Christmas, nor will I be able to lift anything untils probably the end of Februrary.
So, I wanted to thank those who have reached out and responded to my previous post, and to let you know what ended up happening and my hopes for the future.
