A ROBBER.. a lilth Bandit even! ..had the audacity to ask for my aid for a fallen friend south of Beregost, said he was slain by xvarts... then to my Dismay, takes me down the road and drew a cheaply made arrow upon ME! I tried to reason with the young fool, but he wasn't in the right frame of mind I suppose to turn his life around for the better! He was clad in dark leathers or cloth and a red bandana covering his face or most of it. *describes Shure Silverblade* I have informed the Amnian Guards of this shananigans and some young, strong adventurers then went south to hunt this honorless shell of a man. I hope they succeeded. And I hope someday this man gains the honor to live a long productive life in society!

*Disgusted, the old weathered Knight, slams the quill down and goes about his duties*

*Cyrus sits in his room after a long day, after taking a few moments to refelct on the day he takes pen to Parchiment and write a log entry to send to Sir Uriel and his mentor Lady Angelina*


On patrol last night I ran across something I thought I should report. While patrolling the coast south of Candlekeep, I have been trying to reduce the beetle and badger population there to make it safer for citizens using the ferry. I was with a group of adventurers, some I believe you know.

Not all were present for the entire patrol, but came and went.

However at one point an elf presented himself to us to join and introduced himself as a Squire of our Order. I checked with Lady Shae who was present but neither of us were aware of any new squires or that a squiring ceremony had happened. The Lady cautioned him about using the title. I cannot remember his full name, we just called him El.

Thank you for your vigilance in both patrol and observation Squire. I will take this matter up with Lady Angelina as well as our superiors. I have met this gentlemen once and hope this to be a simple misunderstanding.

As for you Squire, I do have one final task for you. The task is less testing in nature as it is celebratory. Upon completion I will give my full recommendation for your promotion to Knight Errant. You have been performing wonderfully under the Code and your grasp of it's concepts and application is excellent. With that in mind my final task to you is within the tenants of Faith. In this task I hope to help nurture and develop the bonds of faith between Knights. With that in mind, please seek out any three of our Knights and share each others experiences and history, especially with regards to service within the Order. *Haeman raises his shield as the bone fragments pelt him. He lowers it looking to his extended hand holding his holy symbol. He had spent the last few days in the fields of the dead, patrolling and laying the undead to rest. He promised Sir Thiago he would redouble his patrols to help lighten the Radiant Hearts burden due to all that is going on. He sighs having spend so many days in the field, sleeping only long enough to not become complacent, and praying every dawn. His only encounters those travelers who head up to the trollclaws. Their travel mad easier as he keeps the fields clearer.

Still looking at his outstretched holy symbol, he lowers his hand and takes a final look around. Tired and weary he heads back to the temple of tyr. Before heading off for some well deserved rest, he goes and reads the reports on his desk. He sighs reading Rand's report of yet another bandit on the roads. He also reads of the mistaken identity of mr. El being a squire and he nods to himself. All thing he will deal with once he has had some rest.

He blows out the candle heading off to find Lady Angelina and let her know he is well. It will do him good to see her beautiful smile. Perhaps after he will get some rest.*

Today I met a man named Keegan Amherst, Paladin of Torm. He is interested to join our order and has voluntarily begun helping with the building project of the keep. He said his father's trade was stone mason and he knows the trade as well. He said he requires no pay, so I did not have him seek out miss Glori. I have given him a copy of the Code and asked him to review it, then seek one of us out when he is ready to discuss whether this is the kind of life he wishes to lead. Please welcome him and answer any questions should you meet him.

Today I headed to the construction site where I meet Mr. Keegan. We got to talking as he was smoothing out some rough patched in the site and I was trying to get a rather stubborn rock broken up that was unearthed during the digging. He seems a very well manners and good natured man and I hope after his time of reflecting on the code that he does decide to join our beloved Order.

I also met Mr. El’Aust and I was proud to inform him that later, if he still wished to join the Order, I would be honored to perform his Squiring Ceremony. I ask that all available Knights and Squires attend at the Temple of Tyr.

Also of note I met a man earlier who.. had a few questions but had some odd things to say. May have to keep an eye on him. *Describes Mahri Paracliti*.

Cyrus returns from patrol, and hastily writes a quick report and posts for all to see before turning in.

I was patroling the coast again tonight, and the beetles are coming back in force. I know not where their lair is, but they must have had a recent crop of eggs hatch. So please be careful around the coast. On another note, it would seem the badgers on the coast are getting organized for lack of a better word. Several time on my patrol, I was attached by two front on, and then two to three would come in behind me and attack, effectively surrounding me and cutting off any means of retreat. If this had been an isolated incident, I would not be concerned, but it happened several times. I mentioned this to Sir Uriel upon my return, and he suggested notifiying Lady Svala about the situation.


Also, SIr Uriel and I encountered a traveling merchant at the campfire by the Inn tonight. He somewhat fitted the description of the bandit that attacked Sir Rand. But since we could not be sure, we just observed his actions.

Squire Mara and I patrolled north of the city through the Trollclaws. On the first leg of our journey through Thundar's we were accompanied by Lady Tara. The emphasis during the patrol was combat drill for the squire, in which she did quite well. There was a spot of trouble in the midst of the western trollclaws in which the Squire was felled by trolls. I carried her our to a priest where she was remedied. Afterwards, we discussed strategy and other more esoteric matters. All in all, a successiveful if not extraordinary patrol.

Knights and Squires,

There have been rumors that speak against our honor and our very nature as an Order. We all know these to be untrue for we follow our code and we are truthful and honest in our dealings. I understand that in these times there are those who would use our truths against us. But always remember the code. Remember that the goodly people do notice our actions. With that I would like to share with you a letter I recieved on the back of a Ressurection scroll.

"My name is Keltyn. I am a farmer from the north. I've heard of your kindness in these lands and wish to pass upon my own through you. Take this scroll and use it to give a life back.

Chauntea's blessings noble Cleric."

Please take heart in the comming days if you hear rumors that may be spread by people and started by those with impure hearts. Remember this letter and if you see Mr. Keltyn thank him for his kindness, his own selfless actions. In these times I find it fitting, humbling and inspiring that the people we serve like Mr. Keltyn are the ones that inspire us and uplift our spirits. We serve the people, and they keep us strong.

The candles flickered heavily for several second before the last of their light extinguished. Perhaps it was the cool night breeze from the cracked window in the back of the Temple of Tyr, perhaps. Uriel sits sprawled in his seat asleep. All the patrols, work on the Keep and training of Squires seem to be catching up to him. Suddenly he awakes as his arms flail to life. He grasping for blade, a relic from the traditions of his bloodline.

He sighs deeply as he finally recognizes where is he and relaxes, placing the blade next to his chair. He shakes his head trying to clear the sleep from his head, trying to collect his thoughts. "Again with the night terrors" he mumbles to himself. He looks out the window trying to gage the time of night. Three hours this time maybe before they overtook him. "It all makes sense, he's finally come for me. Come to finish what he started so long ago" he mutters to himself again.

He sighs and shakes his head then heads over to his desk and composes a letter:

Lady Elvina, Sir Haeman and Sir Seth,

As I have spoken previously, you are aware of the loss of my Beloved and Uncle in a vicious attack nearly twenty years ago. What I have kept to myself thus far is specifically who was responsible. I had told you that it was Banites, but the man was well known to me and sent by them to eradicate my bloodline. He was my step-father, who murdered my father and took his place. When he learned that my Beloved was pregnant with child believed to be a Boy, he took measures to extinguish our bloodline once and for all. If it was not for my friends the Soulaxes they may have succeeded that night. They dragged me out of that Temple and to safety. My poor mother could not live with the reality and the pain and took her own life shortly after.

The reason I write to you now regarding the totality of the story is my fear that he has returned. When my daughter gave birth we sent her to Citadel Adbar to be kept safe by Clan Soulaxe in my absence. I believe it successful and has drawn him here now to eliminate what he perceives as the last of the Honorblade bloodline. Perhaps he is threatened that I have joined the Silver Rose and work diligently to build up the Order. I believe this to be the true source of the vicious rumors spreading about Baldur's Gate about us. I do not know for sure if those who are perpetuating these rumors are a puppet to him or being unwillingly manipulated. It seems that this individual seems to know a lot about our involvement in the alleged Caravan incident when he was not even on the same road and escorting the same wagons. I pray he is not a threat that will need to be dealt with. In either case I believe it to be a smoke screen, forcing the public to look at us and away from the real issue. I have seen this sort of behavior before with my dealing with their kind.

My deepest apologies for drawing this maniac psycho into our midst and endangering the lives and work we have all strove for. I will await your orders.

It gives me great pleasure to inform each of you that Squire Cyrus has completed his final task for me for his training in the Code of Conduct. He has performed wonderfully while on patrol and during his tasks and his reports demonstrate the same quality. Therefore, I give my full recommendation for his promotion to Knight Errant. Squire Cyrus has composed a discourse on Honor which he wrote as a task for me and once he is formally approved for a promotion I would ask for this to be read during the ceremony.

Flamerule 18, 1351, Keep construction site

After spending much of the last few days here, I have come across a few travelers. Most were merely curious in regards to the construction. Most passed by after learning, leaving the workers with well-wishes.

There have been a few unsuccessful advances of the bandits that frequent the Coast. None of the workers were injured with their attacks.

Thankfully, none of the gibberlings nearby have come from their lair. I will keep my patrols nearby to maintain the safety of them.

There was a worker who found some bricks within the site that seemed to be enchanted with divine magics. I gave him some coin for his efforts and have them on my person. I will give them my attention when I have a moment to do so. The man's name was Kel and wishes for an audience with our Leaders in regard to a possible business arrangement.

*After the Order's Item Fair, Haeman adjusts the itchy wig he has on his head and smiles. 17,900 gold made for the Farmer's Relief. He now had to wear it for 177 days as one lady had donated for him not to wear the wig for a day. All in all it was a long day, but a fun day. The Farmers will be extrememly happy when the total from the Donations via the Wig and from the percentage of the proceeds of what was sold is given to them. He slides his new helmet on over the wig and heads off to show Lady Angelina and hopes she likes the wig*
