A grizzled, scarred, and torn up looking dwarf, exits the caravan. His cold rust brown hair is tied in a pony tail behind his back, half of his beard seems to have been ripped out. His armor is covered in spikes from pauldrons to greaves. Two great axes are crisscrossed on his back, secured in place by the traveling pack he wears, then attached to that is a heavy shield.
The great axe blades are chipped and worn from many years use. The armor is dented and banged from many deflected blows. The shield flecked and marred from deflecting and bashing blows of it's own. The dwarf is however, simply tired.
The dwarf shambles his way up the path to Kraak Helzak, calls out to the watchers on the walls, "Be lookin' fer a bit o' good Dwarfen ale, a smith that can take the dings out o' me armor and chips out o me axe, and a place I mayhap be able teh call home again. Cousins"
He pauses for a moment, choosing his words carefully, not sure if he can trust anyone with the information he was about to reveal. A tear can be seen welling up in his eye, but he blinks it back with grim determination. "Me name be Mal'achi. Last o the Fire-Stone clan, an Beserker o' the Thunder Peak Battle Ragers. Me clan an' hold were lost to an army o' Orcs that I 'ave tracked from the Thunder Peaks to the Sword Coast. I come here hopin' teh extract me revenge and bring honor to me ancestors. Will ye 'ave me Cousins?"

A new female Shield Dwarf is in Kraak Helzak.
"Ello! Me name is Jade Emberhearth from Citadel Adbar. Me kins send their greetings."
She would look around, making use of the tavern and the merchants, checking the mines and even venturing forth into the Upperdark.
Afterwards she would add:
"Ye got a great little stronghold 'ere. If ye got room, I'd like da 'elp me kin.
Been wanderin a while now; have visited Sundabar and even passed by the lost Mithral Hall.
Me, bein no Valkyrie (Paladin of Berronar Truesilver) but tryin to follow in their footsteps.
Me likes to slash enemies with Ember and Hearth 'ere. Good dwarven waraxes of the finest quality.
Oh an' me name is Jade Emberhearth."
Laughs and downs one mug of ale.

A young and hardy dwarf makes his way to the stronghold. He is bare-chested and carries no shield, only a big warmace which is covered by frangments of troll bones. He carries couple of hides with him. He greets the guards and makes his way inside where he can be seen talking to Slayers.

The next morning, a courier leaves Candlekeep and makes haste towards a faraway destination - Kraak Helzak.
A sealed missive addressed to "The Venerated Dwarves of Kraak Helzak" makes its way towards the dwarven stronghold.
The point of origin shows as "Office of the Guide, Candlekeep."

A young but well-armored wanderer of stout blood arrives upon the bridge to Kraak Helzak, having
heard the call of the ringing of the Holy Anvil.
After some days of wandering the Fortress and speaking to kin of various clans, he communicates his reason for arrival as guided by the Silent Keeper himself, or direction given to him by "spirits of the mountain" itself. The dwarf, giving his name as Hurgon Wyrmstone, he is eventually shown by the stout kin to the altar of the patron of Shield dwarves.
There, he prayed, and promised, to be a warrior of the mountain, a protector of the dead, servant to the spirits, defender to all dwarves from this moment forward, come they from above of below the mountain.
Much later, Hurgon Wyrmstone presented himself to an audience with the sitting King within Kraak Helzak, stating again his prayers spoken to his Patron, and promising his shield and spirit to the kingdom, and in return, be given citizenship and right to guide the join Clans in shamanistic communication and guidance to all mining and exploration, both below and above ground.

DM Soulcatcher wrote:The dwarven shaman Hurgon Wyrmstone is welcomed in Kraak Helzak, warmly, and offered smiles by some of the most devout dwarves around. His shamanistic ways, however, prove to be somewhat of an oddity among the Stout Folk living there, which scores him as well some strange glances.
The King, however, welcomes Hurgon with open arms, saying he's welcome to join Kraak Helzak just like any other dwarven kinsman here and work for the Clans, their glory, and their prosperity. The dwarven shaman is given an offer of official citizenship and guided to mining, underground exploration or surface adventuring matters that are currently present. It's said that the dwarves dug into Upperdark recently, and as such, they are strengthening the cavern path in case one of their most ancient enemies come to attack them. The drow. It's clear from the King Battlehammer's expression that he holds no tolerance for the obsidian-skinned evil elves whatsoever.

Subject: Kraak Helzak - Call to all Clans
Steve wrote:There is a word-of-mouth traveling from north to south, along the Sword Coast. It is heard by caravan driver, and merchant, and especially...the dwarven kin. They hear of a Call made from the alliance of Kraak Helzak, dwarven kin lodged firmly in the mountains of the Troll Claws.
The alliance of clans within Kraak Helzak do call out...the hammers ring hard upon the anvil, a clang that resonates with all stout-blooded kin. This Call, spoken in clear words, says:
The gates to Kraak Helzak are open to the Clans that venture upon the Sword Coast. The alliance of clans within Kraak Helzak, banners under King Battlehammer, seek to establish a new Charter with the rise of the Thunder Blessed kin, those that have reached adulthood and seek support, as well, the older generations of Dwarf that have carried the wander and adventurer spirit for a long time before now. Recent excavations in the mountain have brought new wealth to Kraak Helzak, and, a gateway to the Upperdark has been established. As well, the rise of sworn enemies of the Dwarven faith, the Orc blooded and the Dark Elves, requires a raising of armed forces willing to blockade and defend the region—both above and below ground—that connects to the Fortress
All are invited in the coming days to seek the fortress of Kraak Helzak, and be welcomed into the alliance, to the benefit of all stone-favored beings.
It is also said that a recent arrival to the alliance, a shamanistic medium to the Keeper of Secrets under the Mountain, a Thunder Blessed dwarf by the name of Hurgon Wyrmstone, has been given role and mission to guide the alliance in the further exploration of the mining and Upperdark gates of Kraak Helzak.
Nonetheless, the caravan at Baldur's Gate East Farmlands has been tasked to quickly provide transit to all stone-favored kin—for Kraak Helzak does open its gates to gnomes and earth genasi—to the north, when requested.
//OOC: The coming Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I will be IG a whole bunch to facilitate any KH role-play and admission of new Clans. Please feel free to find me then, or PM me, or post a reply here IC for your dwarven initiate to Kraak Helzak!

Fey Trolls and lesser Hunters attempt to wrestle the rope bridge from the oversight of the Dwarven Fortress in the deep night...but a watcher at the gates calls upon spirit and divine strength from the Silent Keeper himself, cloaking the warrior in a radiance that burns the green flesh right off the daring intruders.
The Troll Claws become a battleground of giant against stout. Victory lies with the Thunder Blessed this day...but now, the mountains will become patrolled, day and again, night.
/// Hahahaha.....Pa-trolled....oh, I slay myself!

Deep in the tunnels of the hills surrounding the Troll Claws...a spirit warrior exploring, scouting for the advancement of the Kraak Helzak mining ventures, comes into contact with an ancient force of reptilian powers.
With spirited support from the Voice in the Mountain itself, this "ambassador" is victorious against this locked up evil...for now. And the dwarf does his best to lay claim in the following crystalized caverns, leaving runescript upon the walls, direction left to other stouts that shall follow.

A powerful thud can be heard echoing through the Troll Claws. Brave travelers crossing over ledge and valley, may witness a large iron golem traversing the canyons surrounding the rumored-to-known entrance to the Holy Anvil...or, Kraak Helzak as it is spoken in the Dwarven tongue.
Any being coming near the drawbridge to the mine entrance that marks the surface entrance to Kraak Helzak, will at times, see a towering golem steady as guard against the troll menace, pushing back the giants and ettins, until there is nothing left but green slime slowly drying upon nearby rocks.

A heavily armed and armoured dwarf can be heard inquiring as to the whereabouts of members of the local dwarven clan of Kraak Helzak. He tells those who'll listen that he is of Ironfaar blood and is seeking refuge. It appears he is staying at the Friendly Arm Inn.

A commotion begins on the watchtowers of Kraak Helzak as a figure is seen approaching the drawbridge. Dressed in gold and black, the female-like form removes what appears to be a backpack in sight of the guardwatch. The also eleven-like figure appears exhausted, however she does nothing to explain or risk an interaction.
After the object is laid carefully upon the ground, she leaves immediately—a momentary silence hangs in the air, until a gigantic iron golem clangs over the bridge, without fear it would seem, to whatever lay left there for the Dwarves.
As the iron golem arrived to the place, it pauses, then in a moment dissolved to the birth-form of Hurgon Wyrmstone, ambassador and watchguardian of regular duty. He bends forth over the object, lifting a layer of cloth to reveal a dwarves' corpse, hands over it's chest, and two golden coins upon its eyes. Hurgon reaches to touch the chest of the fallen stout—a note is left with the corpse, it seems, and Hurgon pulls it up to nearer that he may read the lines left to explain this...situation.
With a grim face, the ambassador carefully and easily lifts the body from the ground, solemnly walking back over the draw bridge to the entrance doors. Horns sound from the watchtowers; tones of announcing an oncoming mourning.
