Re: DM Rumors of Baldur's Gate
The bells blare loud with in the East Gate of Baldurs. The crowds cry out for guards, soldiers anyone.. "An assassin has stuck!" "Assassin!" "Killer! Killer!"
She was struck just in the lower waste, a cross bow bolt had broke through her back. She stumbled lightly to her left falling into the arms of Jeanna..
There in Jeana's arms. Wren di'Corvi died. Herald of Darkhold. The kind woman whispering a few private words to Wren.
In the aftermath, the Fist swarmed the area. Questioning all who have a look of suspicion and pursuing leads for the killer...

Around taverns, common folk and adventurers can be heard gossiping and sometimes even planning their own expeditions to the archipelago called Selûne's Bracelet, ever since they witnessed boxes of gold, ore, diamonds, samples of exotic plants and strange items. With a clear goal of getting rich themselves, local shipwrights and those in nearby settlements are experiencing an increased amount of work (and gold) building vessels capable of sailing through the Sea of Swords for various kinds of people, either desperate, wealthy or adventurous.
Among the higher social classes of Baldur's Gate there's a growing interest mainly in rarities and new trends this unexpected explosion of wealth might offer. While most circles for now remain sceptical of the prospect, several nobles have declared their support for a new opportunity to bring wealth to Baldur's Gate and bring it back closer to its former glory before recent conflicts, or even make it better. Quite a few known wizards are said to be paying for acquiring strange antiques, suggesting some of them may have more value than scholarly or decorative.

A crowd gathers in the dock district as The Whistling Wanderess returns from months at sea.

Word spreads quickly that the famous ship was the first to discover and partially chart the archipelago known as Selune's Bracelet. In addition to a wagon full of exotic goods and news about the location of a rich new vein of silver, A rare treasure was brought to the Swords Coast Commercial Exchange. Though most are tight lipped about the details, rumors say the treasure is of significant historical value.

Re: DM Rumors of Baldur's Gate
Its been a day since a brutal murder that turned out to be more than just a murder happened in a home in Baldurs Gate, rumours talk of how a rotting corpse fell from a window and landed on a poor woman, but this was not an ordinary corpse supposedly it had bite marks in the neck. Most citizens living in the district around the mentioned house are not seen after nightfall any more, and sometimes can be spotted quickly returning to their homes before nightfall.

A Bell cries out in the Flaming Fist Castle. "Murder! Murder!" Shouts a stumbling Night Guard known as Henry, he climbs forth from the cellars and dungeons of the castle. "Murder!. Lady Fenswallow is dead!"
When Henry reached the top of the spiral stairs a commander stopped him to hear the tale as other soldiers poured past them to descend into the dark of the dungeon. Henry looked as in shock as he spoke quickly. "Lady Fenswallow is dead, her head is smashed.. the pink scarfs also dead. Smashed and blood. its most violent sir. "
The commander pat Henry on the shoulder as another guard confirms the scene. With a stern voice he spoke "Inform the Investigator.. and someone better double the Palace guard just in case!"
Lady Ralia Fenswallow, days before her trial is now dead. Murdered.

Evermead is flowing in the city of Baldur's Gate. Evemead the highest prized liquor consumed by elves is created through a process which remains unknown. It is however rumored to be aged for centuries before consumption. Which brings some to question how so much of the liquor is available at such a low price. Either way, no one is complaining. A single sip of this fine drink is said to be like tasting the higher planes themselves

In what is now being called a brawl, members of the Radiant Heart and the Temple of Ilmater clashed over the fate of a prisoner. While the prisoner remains unnamed and the cause of the disagreement is being kept mostly secret many have come to wonder what might cause these former friends to come to blows.

Several well known knights of the Radiant Heart Auxiliary are seen entering the city, each moving to one of the goodly temples of the Triad. They take up positions at the gates, guarding the holy sites. Days pass and the paladins do not move. They take disciplined short naps, then return to their divinely ordained duty.
A hard heart and a strong mind are the foundations of faith.

Re: DM Rumors of Baldur's Gate
Word spreads that in late evening hours, the Flaming Fist suddenly mobilised a small, armed team and headed towards a seemingly abandoned mansion in Harbor District, near ship piers. Onlookers of the whole ordeal speak about strange gurgling noises and screeches coming from around the building. It's said that Captain Beluarion himself has slain the most monstrous beast, one of several that were apparently kept inside the building somewhere. The Flaming Fist and City Watch keep the building off limits from anyone not authorised by the Flaming Fist to enter. Anyone asking questions is turned away, being told that the situation is in investigation by the City Watch and the Flaming Fist, and it is under control.
Half-a-day later, the carcasses of slain monsters are taken away to be burned in fire. Rumours say that one looked like deformed creature of nightmares with three legs, tentaclies and mouth with sharp teeth being whole bodies of creatures. Some others looked like oversized larvae with teeth.

Kythorn, 1353
At the brink of the seasons' turn from spring to warm summer upon the Coast, it is proclaimed throughout Baldur's Gate and into its lands beyond that Sir Eldarian Al'maire - High Dawnlord of Lathander, and Honorary Knight of the Order of the Aster- has been granted Lordship within the ranks of Baldurian nobility.
Rumors burst forth of his ascension being earned through many personal sacrifices and countless good deeds done for the city-state, these circulated and buzzed about outside of the Duchal Court upon the paladin's swearing of fealty. Such murmurs include talk of the man working against the corruption of Amnian politics by heading the coup that ousted Governess Benino from Beregost, taking up battlefield leadership and shedding blood on behalf of Baldur's Gate during the war of 1351 against the General's undead armies, and taking an active role on many fronts during the restoration efforts of Baldur's Gate. Many an admiring look is cast toward the figure of the golden-haired knight as he emerges into the sunlight of the day, freshly confirmed by the auspices of the Dukes and bearing the honorific of Lord Eldarian Al'maire.

Re: DM Rumors of Baldur's Gate
Deep with in Baldurs Gate towards the Harbor District the city streets grow narrow and the bright summer sun is dimmed by tall buildings casting shadow below. Along these corridors and ways, the little folk pass their daily business and lives with a few whom might whisper if asked correctly of a narrow road to an old mansion. This dark road leads to a small makeshift shrine. The shrine is an old green door to the former mansion of a corrupt merchant, where numerous candles in different stages of burn rest all around. People in the know come here looking for justice and place a name upon parchment before tacking it to the door.
A woman, short and thin, hooded, places one such name.
