His lips curls into a small smile
Darling, I'd need ten times that to consider the bid.

Re: Fingal Darius - Sale at Farmlands
It took several minutes of squinted consideration for the half-elf to work out exactly how much more she would need; her meager offer paling in comparison. At the realization, freckled nose wrinkled in distaste.
"Three hundred thousand!?" she questioned, pawing wistfully at her cheek. "Well, there's nae way I'm tuggin' that out me arse in any way considered comf'rtable... so cheers, I guess." Grumbling profanity under her breath, she set the belt down and turned out her pockets in a pitiful manner. "Ye might consider puttin' that on yer lil' sign there, sweet'eart."
Hand was lifted in farewell as she departed the stall.

*Karala brings her delicate hand to her mouth and coughs lightly* What do you think of my offer, good sir?

An elven maiden passes by the stall on her visit the Gate. She suddenly stops, her eyes fixed on the belt.
"Three hundred you say? I am willing to spend that much." She spoke blankly.
//300k on the belt

Karala waits a while standing in front of Fingal and then seems to understand something. Her face is unchanged and cool, but her eyes are downcast as she turns and walks fluidly away.

Re: Fingal Darius - Sale at Farmlands
A man wearing a long white cloak with a worn but well-stitched, red hood, approaches the seller's stall in the Gate farmlands.
His face sits deep within the hood, but observation of his approach and mannerisms, communicate he is not particularly hiding his face...maybe instead, he is himself, hiding his vision away from the greater scope of the wide environment, about him—a peculiarity, no doubt.
If possible, the man motions or attempts to examine the dagger on display, and, seems to mumble a low spoken word of too, related to its...possibly, history, possibly, maker?!? It is too jumbled to make out...but the words spoken are definitely not the common tongue of Man.
But soon enough, he raises his hood slightly enough to honestly catch the seller's gaze, and with a fair, charming set of light brown eyes, glinting, he speaks clear enough for the seller to here:
"When I arrived back to the Gate, and visited to the Wide these last days, and inquired about a small blade of great age and history that may be my guide to....*he drifts*...the merchants there all spoke of a single merchant outside their location, with a single small blade of age and quality, that few would take upon themselves...for one reason or another, though...the merchants said few could even pay the asking price. But when the Lady smiles upon her lonesome caller, she smiles great and wide...for this blade sings to me...do you know the power of song, sir? For few things—like this blade—call to the heart as much as a great poem, be it sung in verse, or spoken in time...."
The red hooded man, pauses, just long enough to give the seller a chance to react upon the question of song.
"I will match your asking price, my fellow. The name, is Artim."

"Well, good merchant...what is your answer to my offer for the small blade?", asks Artim.

Re: Fingal Darius - Sale at Farmlands
"Did I miss something?" says Artim, now looking around him for a person, a face that may have interrupted his offer. He also attempts to lean a bid over the counter, his eyes scanning the area behind to see if a small person had been hidden there, also interested and bidding on the dagger.Progressive-Psy wrote:it has just been sold, but I have other weapons like it that might interest you.. *
"Tis strange...I did not hear another bid said, nor did see some sign or note challenging my offer with a greater one. I ask you good sir, provide me with the name of the being that has bested me in this acquisition, so that I may entice them to further think on selling me this blade."

He simply shakes his head
I cannot do that.. Now the others I shown you, do they have interest? If not have a nice day.

Re: Fingal Darius - Sale at Farmlands
"Cannot, or will not?", replies Artim. "You say that you have sold the blade 'just' as I make an offer, though it sits right here before me. Now, you say you cannot tell me the name of the person that has acquired it? How is this, what you say and do, not a scam against an honest offer, and now, an honest inquiry?"Progressive-Psy wrote:He simply shakes his head
I cannot do that..
Artim then points to the hung signboard nearby. "Is this the typical manner in which the Darius Holding Company functions?"
