Actually, IMO, after playing this game for, what is it, 9 years (?), it would be nice if I didn't have to keep learning new 'rules' and things just worked the same for a while.

If any QC or Dev can answer, when the update was last implemented there were some new spells that took a few rounds to cast, which was fine. What got me was when old spells like Greater Restoration now had a channel time and it was still nerfed to only restore 150 HP. Was this reversed or will it have a channel time again?

Edit: also will the new spells be scribable/have locations where they are sold or are 30th level wizards screwed?

We couldn't come to a decision: the extra casting time was removed. Also from other spells like regeneration.

There are scroll items of most of the new spells. Updating the shops will be a gradual process.

They cannot be scribed, not until we specifically enable that. We don't have a timeline for that.

Wizards screwed??? When did that happen. Imagine playing a sorcerer, or even a melee character wanting one of those new feats.

At any rate I suspect we will see more than a few characters getting RCRed.

That's awesome about the channelling. Did you manage to find a way to allow pets and summons to walk through doors that transition to the same area as well?

Maybe someone asked already, but:
Are we going to have free rebuilds after a major patch like that? Or it is going to be RCR?

Going to be fun seeing a huge amount of players releveling, but it will also hurt alot.

If someone asked this question and got a reply, I am sorry for that. Just asking to reply with a quote then :D

We all have to keep in mind that when the update goes in, there will still be issues - mostly minor. The update is so big with so much content added or changed, that is impossible to have everything ready and tested by volunteers.

So do not rush into rcring or anything else for that matter :)

Why don't we do an open for all testing on server 2 before it goes life?. (with a seperated charvault and an exp-giving npc for easy testing.)

And as soon as someone finds the mystic shiny mithral fullplate of ultimate defense, people will start asking to have stuff transfered to the existing server. I would think to allow only approved volunteers to avoid headaches afterwards. Like the QC. Maybe with temproray more people for the testing of the incoming update.

It's that F/Ro/WM/FB dealing 600+ dmg per round for instance, or that Dwarven Defender that killed the army that wiped the floor with you and your entire guild, and then carried you all back home. You know, the one dominating PvE. That.

RRROFL!!

Nah. Playing a sub-epic character in a server full of demons, dragons, liches and whatnot isn't something I would look forward to. Plus, casters would still get their 9th Circle spells, while melees would lose all their epic feats (much more crucial than one epic spell, imho, since you feel the impact in every attack of every round).
This twisted culture got you feeding from its hand
But you will lose that food if you don't meet all their demands
And loyal is the soldier that gets slaughtered with the lambs
Examining the blueprints got you questioning the plans
