Re: Incoming Update

Actually, IMO, after playing this game for, what is it, 9 years (?), it would be nice if I didn't have to keep learning new 'rules' and things just worked the same for a while.

We couldn't come to a decision: the extra casting time was removed. Also from other spells like regeneration.Flasmix wrote:If any QC or Dev can answer, when the update was last implemented there were some new spells that took a few rounds to cast, which was fine. What got me was when old spells like Greater Restoration now had a channel time and it was still nerfed to only restore 150 HP. Was this reversed or will it have a channel time again?
There are scroll items of most of the new spells. Updating the shops will be a gradual process.Flasmix wrote:Edit: also will the new spells be scribable/have locations where they are sold or are 30th level wizards screwed?
Wizards screwed??? When did that happen. Imagine playing a sorcerer, or even a melee character wanting one of those new feats.Flasmix wrote:Edit: also will the new spells be scribable/have locations where they are sold or are 30th level wizards screwed?
What's "melee character"? Some sort of thing that isn't a FS or Bard? Ooooh is that what they call the dip class inferior caster's take?mrm3ntalist wrote:melee character
Why don't we do an open for all testing on server 2 before it goes life?. (with a seperated charvault and an exp-giving npc for easy testing.)mrm3ntalist wrote:We all have to keep in mind that when the update goes in, there will still be issues - mostly minor. The update is so big with so much content added or changed, that is impossible to have everything ready and tested by volunteers.

And as soon as someone finds the mystic shiny mithral fullplate of ultimate defense, people will start asking to have stuff transfered to the existing server. I would think to allow only approved volunteers to avoid headaches afterwards. Like the QC. Maybe with temproray more people for the testing of the incoming update.Theodore01 wrote:Why don't we do an open for all testing on server 2 before it goes life?. It's that F/Ro/WM/FB dealing 600+ dmg per round for instance, or that Dwarven Defender that killed the army that wiped the floor with you and your entire guild, and then carried you all back home. You know, the one dominating PvE. That.AlwaysSummer Day wrote:What's "melee character"? Some sort of thing that isn't a FS or Bard? Nah. Playing a sub-epic character in a server full of demons, dragons, liches and whatnot isn't something I would look forward to. Plus, casters would still get their 9th Circle spells, while melees would lose all their epic feats (much more crucial than one epic spell, imho, since you feel the impact in every attack of every round).Ivan38Rus wrote:Perfect time to sneak in that hard level cap of 20
