Probably because non-complicated straightforward suboptimal build is more likely to happen in the realm.
Aside from that, no idea.

Pure classes are already rewarded with bonus feats.

Trying to think of a single high level character (NPC) in lore where that would be true...

I meant to say, that for some of the builds to happen, character would need pretty much to be Clairvoyant and know the setting, its lore and mechanics in great detail as well as what kind of items they would encounter during their journey.

This kind of required omniscience might be what makes people think that "pure classes" are more "right".

P.S. Personally, I don't care if they have 3 levels of cockroach in order to unlock some obscure feat as long the character is interesting.

I kind of get that, except that being 'pure' doesn't mean that you're not metagaming the server, and using PrCs doesn't mean that you are. I have no idea what uber items are available and my knowledge of server-specific lore is sketchy, but I would never make a pure class, because I simply find them boring.

Do they? How? Would a level 30 sorcerer get more epic feats?
Pure Sorcerors get bonus Feats at levels 23, 26 and 29. So what is your point?

And why is it that some people appear to think that a single class character is somehow virtuous and should be rewarded in some way?

I don't have a point, I was asking a question.

Thanks neginfinity... interesting. I'll have to take it into consideration when building. I had no idea.

Sure thing.

There are many interesting ideas that could be based off pure builds, but I have not seen anyone attempt to utilize them. I think that a lot of people simply don't know of epic bonus feats.

Make divine power give 100% spell failure, You want to be a fighter you give up some of your survivability. I think bards fine as is, Sure requiem can do 130 damage a round but its sonic and split by target IGMS can do 120 maximized to two targets as magic damage.

Not sure how you would balance FS due to most of the spellbook setup being hard coded, But i would likely nerf their spell progression to match a sorc's.

Isnt Epic Divine Might the root of all evil?! Maybe change the strength requirement to constitution or wisdom so they dont have access to both extra damage/AB.
Imo a wisdom cleric needs divine power to be able to level.

Epic divine might is quite useful for non-casting classes. Removing it or changing it would hurt those classes.

Requirements are already very strict, EDM character will most likely end up being a glass cannon. If said character is non-caster, it will hurt a lot as it is.

I do not think that any change that would affect non-bards or non-favored souls is a good idea.

((I also don't think that balancing bards or favored souls is a good idea.

Agreed. Paladins are already pretty under-powered. Changing EDM would make them obsolete.

If Paladins are underpowered, god help Rangers, Swashbucklers, Rogues and Barbarians...

in a constructive manner, you are saying: make EDM similar to Epic Precision for those classes that really needs it?

These two classes seem backwards to me.

Man-at-Arms Saving Throws:
High = Will
Low = Fortitude & Reflex

Favored Souls Saving Throws:
High = Fortitude, Reflex & Will
Low = NONE

Man At Arms seems to be based on "Knight" class from PHB II.

I also was a bit surprised that it only has high "Will" save (guess it is because determination/sense of duty is what drives it or something?), but that didn't stop Grimm Oathbreaker from wrecking anything that moves with it.
