I voted pro muling.
Sometimes you need to rcr a toon for a slight build change or to learn new feats spells etc. Sometimes it's a major change. Sonetime you rcr a toon to something totally different. Sometimes you permanent death your toon (not me but it happens).
There are constant changes and tweeks to your player characters that are easy and fun with muling allowed that would feel punitive if muling was restrictive. I want to expiriment until I find the perfect fit for me on this game without having to feel like I'm always starting over.
My alts in an ooc way feel like a unit. It would feel awful if my warlock found a perfect cloak for my paladin and had to sell it because I couldn't mule it over. But as it is, finding items for different alts is exciting (ie sneak gear) don't take that away.
The game has a long grind to it and special attention to players is not common. Muling is a way to give a bit of special attention to a toon a too n that would otherwise have to slog hours of grinding to find certain items.

This question might have a very different reception if it was posed several years ago.

I personally have no opinion on whether muling should stay or go, since there are merits for both sides (and personally speaking, I'm not good with alts so either option doesn't impact me too much). The only concern I have is that implementing an anti-muling system that's not vulnerable to abuse at a glance would eat up a lot of developer time.

In more hardcore RP settings and/or with a different player community than BG's I can see an anti-muling stance gain better traction, but this PW is used to muling for years one way or another. It's not easy for a community already accustomed to the luxury to get used to having it be taken away.

would be possible to attached this to a single character, and not global ?

I personally liked ILR- to play the dungeons at the levels they were supposed to be played.

but a variable monster spawn script would be better, at the least a fear of dungeon and dying would be nice. The mmo spawner is rather dull and predictable. I think something on the "epic bosses" would be nice

or even a tool for the dm's to save time on creature creation like a wand and purge the list of dm imported creatures which is insane, when i saw it.

and other things, so each encounter would be quite different.

I really like the idea of random encounters. The predictable nature of the creature is exploitable. Even more so when you may only see 4 types of mobs at a given time. Each with its own predictable steps it follows.

I wish for random encounters and greater Pena!ties upon death. Neither of those things are what is being discussed in this thread. But I still have one more wish.

At this point in time there will be no changes to the rules regarding the transfer or gifting of items from one player character to another player character (whether both player characters belong to the same player or to different players).

It will remain legal, except in the case of very specific DM award items.
