Funeral Pyre & Dead Magic


The Myradon Vindicators embarked on their journey from Greenest, making their way towards Yuris hilltop estate. Curiously, those attuned to the arcane arts would sense a sudden and inexplicable dampening of their magical abilities, as if they had entered a zone devoid of any magical presence. Whenever they approach Yuris estate.

Outside the imposing walls, a somber scene unfolded amidst the rain-soaked atmosphere. A funeral pyre had been meticulously prepared, and the flames consumed a lifeless body, reducing it to ash. Eight individuals stood together, their figures blurred by the downpour, paying their respects in a manner befitting the melancholic setting.

Some time later oncw the Pyre had fully ceased to burn, Na'Karia returned with an Urn in hand. She took the ashes and placed it inside the urn, softly saying a Prayer to Sune. To either ask for forgiveness or in hopes the soul of the departed could rest in peace, maybe both, it was anyone's guess. Once she had gathered the ashes into the Urn, the Vice Archon sealed it the walked in etherealness back to Greenest in slow, heavy strides.

The violent and deadly war had finally come to an end. With that, the surviving heroes had started to disperse and return home. Foxy, however, went missing amidst the chaos and scramble after the avalanche. After a slew of bizarre and incoherent replies to Teris's Sending's, he and a shaman named Janella went in search of her. With their persistance, a heavily wounded Foxy was found in the foothills below the Cloud Peaks, appearing cold and disoriented in the freezing rain. With some coaxing, she was brought to the temple of Chauntea in Greenest, where her condition seemed to gradually improve. In the evening, she was seen making her way to the inn for the night. But the following morning, she did not come downstairs to return her key. A breeze drifted through the open window of her inn room. Foxy was nowhere to be seen.

A man dressed in teal leather armor can be seen entering the city of Greenest carrying a rather large pouch that appears to be filled to the brim with herbs, fruit and an assortment of other plants. He makes his way to the Temple of Chauntea where he speaks to the Head Harvestmistress and can be seen leaving a note for a person by the name of Teris and the pouch being left behind. He can be seen shortly leave after this.

Na'Karia is seen leaving a message addressed to the Owners of the Rocky Creek Trading Company:

Good day,

I hope your day is well and that this brightens it a bit more. The Myradon Vindicators would like to set up a meeting with you to discuss a possible deal of aid in the prospect of building our Guild Hall. If you have the time, I would greatly like to discuss things in person. You can leave word for me with Orniff in the inn if you like.

He makes his way to the Temple of Chauntea where he speaks to the Head Harvestmistress and can be seen leaving a note for a person by the name of Teris and the pouch being left behind. He can be seen shortly leave after this.

A note would be sent back expressing an interest in meeting up to look through the herbs when the teal dressed man is available this week.

*A song started to echo throughout the small village of Greenest: a well-known feathered hat would be spotted among the people, but she wasn't alone! A gorgeous woman with a long purple dress was playing and singing alongside her! Some fishermen would claim that, after that performance, more fishes seemed to take the bait in the nearby pond... but that's only speculation!*

In a realm where darkness veiled the light,
A tyrant's rule, a never-ending night,
He preyed upon the helpless, the weak, and the meek,
A shadowy Lord, his motives were bleak.

From the shadows he schemed, his power grew vast,
The people's suffering would not be his last,
But whispers of change began to swarm,
As a storm of rebellion started to form.

Oh, the tyrant's reign, it won't persist,
We'll unite as one, in justice we insist,
Breaking the chains of his vile endeavor,
In the end, he'll face justice forever.

In the depths of secrecy, his schemes did unfold,
His wicked commands, his stories untold,
But heroes emerged, with courage so bold,
To unveil his corruption, to expose the cold.

In the heart of the night, they rose against fear,
Their purpose clear, their mission sincere,
With valor in their hearts, they'd break the facade,
To reveal the truth and shatter the fraud.

The trial was set, the evidence amassed,
The tyrant's reign would not forever last,
The people's voice, their demand for peace,

In the courtroom's hush, the truth did unfurl,
The tyrant's crimes, a sinister whirl,
The people's will, a thunderous storm,
As justice prevailed, a new world was born.

The verdict was cast, his sentence severe,
For the countless souls he'd caused to tear,
With unity, their purpose became warmer,
They proclaimed, "We've put a Dent in his armor!"

Though the tyrant still lingers in his domain,
The people's resolve would never wane,
For a trial was prepped to make him see,
The consequences of his tyranny.

Oathsworn Induction

On a stormy night within the Temple of Chauntea the Myradon Vindocators Ekvir, Foxy and their leader Archon Yuri gathered. During the temples quiet hours the two have been inducted into becoming Oathsworn. For their noble actions, strength of character, and dedication to the cause of minimizing harm they were provided with an additional reward. Although the gold amount was not obvious, the bags looked quite heavy. And in Foxy's case she was rewarded primarily with baked goods to her obvious joy. Initially surrounded in a fey circle of bread to keep her "Breadsbane" ways at bay. To predictable results. A sizable donation to the temple itself was also done in their name.

Those who happened to witness the event would have heard the Oath itself that was repeated:

"I pledge my might and my life to the cause of the Myradon Vindicators.

I stand ready to face the evils that prey upon the innocent, to confront the monsters that sow fear, and to vanquish that which inflict suffering upon the weak.

With unwavering resolve, I dedicate myself to the eradication of injustice, be it tyranny or the blight of discrimination. I vow to create a sanctuary, a bastion of hope where children thrive, where equality prevails, and where the callous hands of the greedy find no solace.

In my name I vow to stay steadfast in my ideals and work towards a future untainted by callous disregard of suffering."

A half-sun elven woman is carried into Greenest from the north, bearing a multitude of wounds consistent with the claws and weapons of gnolls. Unconscious and unbreathing, she might appear uncannily like a corpse... yet she remains warm to the touch, and maintains a steady, if somewhat weak, pulse; the final confirmation of her survival are her periodic stirrings and delirious rambling about something called "Rynn".

The old man who brought her took her to a bedroom in the village inn, paying in advance for her stay and hiring one of the more medically trained villagers to keep watch as she recuperates. A small enchanted jewel, emitting an iridescent glow, keeps trying to orbit the young woman's head. In practice, it often ends up lodging itself firmly into whatever surface that head might be resting against...

A women with horns and flowers in her hair with green armor can be seen running into the town of Greenest and can be seen running into the Inn with a worried look on her face, while in the inn she can be seen talking to the Inn Keeper about a red mist being seen in Reaching Woods that caused the spirits and animals of the area to flee and from the mist it felt like eyes were watching anyone near. After the exchange she can be seen leaving the town and stepping into a tree and vanishing.

Na'Karia can be found pacing around the camp fire in Greenest. Worry, frustration, anger, all a mix written on her face and in her eyes as she holds two notes in her hands. Her mind is a jumble of questions and theories, she had heard the rumors that were spreading around about Amn, heard some rumors up in Soubar. So where where her two underlings? What happened to them? She wrestled with the thought of the mage being killed by the Inquisition, she wrestled with the thought that the fighter had been killed protecting the mage. Despite what she might have said earlier, she knew that if she walked into Amn right now she'd be hunted just because of her horns and tails. Her infernal blood boiled more and more as she thought about this.

Na'Karia can be seen leaving Greenest and heading toward the Greenfields in her armor and with a map in hand. However she was smart enough to leave a note for the rest of the Vindicators to find when they stopped in the inn. Presumably after Yuri had already informed the others as well.

The note reads:
"Friends are missing so I've gone out scouting for clues. I'll use sending to let you know if I learn anything. Or if I get captured. Let's pray to Kossuth it's the former, yeah?.

~ The stubborn as heck Kossuthan, Na'Karia.

P.S: Yuri, pack some bombs. Ya know, just in case."

Rumor has it that one of the Vice Archons of the Myradon Vindicators, Na'Karia, has taken up a job in the Greenest Inn as an employee of Orniff. She waits on the patrons, gives Orniff a hand in the kitchen, keeps the inn tidy, or goes out to collect fresh ingredients for his baked goods. Seems like this is just something for her to do in her down when she has grown weary of training or adventuring.
