Only during the first onperceive. It didn't break Micar'vilchi out of her stealth.

My uneducated guess would be: yes... otherwise I don't know how monsters end up detecting and attacking them. If that's the case, it sounds like that might cause a bit of a spike in resource usage. Then again, I dunno wtf I'm talking about when it comes to the engine

It explains why I keep having people who are offline accuse me of being a thief :p

Thought I had an invisible party stalking me once.

Looks like the datacenter is down. I can't even get the host machine to reboot itself.

Once our host gets its issues worked out we'll be back online. No ETA as to when that will be as of yet.

Wha... ?? Do you mean to say these clones call out a pick-pocket attempt? Seriously?! Like I needed another reason to loath the PP script more than I already do :x

This has no doubt been asked a million times and answered just as many times, but what is the reason for the constant crashing? I remember it didn't use to happen a long time ago.

Module bloat, most likely, but the crashing has nothing to do with why we're down now.

Incidentally, the server is booting back up and should be available in about 1 minute.

It might have been fixed, but it's happened to me a few times. :p Had me all paranoid, thinking people were hiding their locations to mess with me. :D

Then what causes so many crashes? People kept saying it was ddos. Is there any truth to that?

We may have discovered one of the issues, or at least one way that the server can crash. We're working on a fix for that.

The recent crashes have not been caused by DDOS activity. We, fortunately, haven't had any evidence of DDOSing for the last couple of months.

Lockonnow is on the money when he says the heart of the matter is that we don't know what's causing the crashing. We're crash proofing one update at a time in our quest for continued stability. But we depend on player reports and guesswork for a lot of it. So please continue to let us know if you think something you did caused a crash.

Server crashed. Maybe it has something to do with durlag's tower? I was fighting a skeleton and boom - it stopped responding.

-------

Speaking of which, doesn't the server generate any crash logs? Most software tries to print something somewhere when it stops working.

At 10:30 GMT on 21 September 2016, the Server has been experiencing 2 minute lag times. Constantly. And it seems Players are either logging in/out to try to solve this, or are being dropped.
