It would be spoken in casual conversation that might befall your ear. The story goes that the old captain and proprietor of the Twilight Rose, now the Sirens Song, is back to his old craft. The Shipwright, Aidan Thatcher, can be seen about town gathering tools and supplies. When asked his purpose he would let folks know he's working on a ship for an old crewmate of the Wanderess. Being a veteran of both sea and sail, and raised the son of a ship Wright in Athkatla, the task comes as no surprise to those who know him. Having repaired several ships that are local to the gate, commissioned to build for Lord Darius and other business-minded in the past.

He would be seen on occasion along the waterfront outside the Gate, working at a makeshift scaffolding. There he would be found burning down fat wood for sap, steam warping boards and fitting planks to the ribs of a decent sized ship frame. His work taking every bit of his free time while he meticulously builds his art piece out of ash and oak. By the end of the few month process, he would be putting final touches in place. The sap being brushed on for waterproofing the haul, tar bathing of rope to keep the salty sea from deteriorating it. At last the only business left is to hand it over to it's master, Jon Smythe. A new ship to be christened and set to sea for it's purpose in trade.

A message is left on the city board and out front of the Halls of Inner Light.
I, Alyssia Leonhart, am working to revitalize and strengthen the Halls of Inner Light, and I am seeking the faithful of Sune, Lliira, Selune and more that are worshiped within the Halls to come together to aid in the revitalization of our beloved temple.

Many have suffered at the hands of the tragic War with the Devils for far too long. I look forward to working with you to bring back the light to the hearts of these fair citizens.

Later he was seen working with the Flaming Fist to discuss the foundation and the gold's use.

Citizens of Baldur's Gate, fear not, you are not alone, the Great Mother, keeper of life and Great Mother of Mankind is taking care of you, honor her and pray to her, everytime you sow and reap, but also when you enjoy the benefits of the farms, the corn, the bread, be thankful to her because she cares for you and wants you to thrive, grow and have a happy life.

Come morning, few of the flyers seem to have been tampered with. Crossing out some of the details and filling in others.
Artistic liberties were also taken to the artwork.

A small woman sees the flyers, especially to those that were origanal, not reworked she mutters.

"There goes my chance to perform and rejoin if events are alwways held under such impossible conditions!"

Then she shrugs.

"Their loss if they don't want more members...."

To the reworked version.,if she gets to see it, she smirks a little. Then would take one with her if she can.

((OOC: Now mean to offend oocly. I know that sometimes times aren't doable differently. Just my character reacts since she has her reasons.))

The young Grand Knight of the Radiant Heart is seen even more frequently among the couriers in the Palace District. He can be seen delivering another missive for the Court's eyes. He then takes some time to chat with other Couriers.

A scroll appears upon public bulletin boards within the City of Baldur's Gate:
Seeking the Creativity of Words
and Rewarding the Result
for a Naming of Vessel
under the Propriety of the
Chionthar Charter & Seaward Supply

~~~~~~~
To wit...currently the first-in-line to a fleet of merchant marine vessels sits upon slipway in the shipwright Thatcher's yard, and in last act before launch a proper name that shall eventually be enumerated, is ready to be NAMED.
A contest, then, is inaugurated, to solicit such a NAME, a reference that suitably represents the mission of the Company itself, that being import/export shipping & travel in haste and importance, between those cities and towns along the Chionthar and Sword Coast with the Lord's Alliance.
For such a worthy name chosen, the chief officer of the CCSS Co., that being in this moment the half-Elven Jon Smythe, the amount of 10,000 gold coin shall be rewarded. In addition, a single round trip journey of choice via the Chionthar, to be applied with one years time from the Naming.
Those interested are requested to submit a single VESSEL NAME, per being. By choice, you may deliver a NAME in person or by parchment to be received at the Helm and Cloak feast hall, until mid-Alturiak [February 15th, 2020]. Notification of the Winner will be made from then.
~ May Tymora bless your efforts ~
OOC// The Vessel Name will have a Roman Numerical added as suffix (I, II, III, etc.) in the advent the Company "takes off" and actually builds a fleet. So take that into consideration, AS WELL AS the characteristics of the Company services (as listed above in the Call). Cheers!
A halfling woman, dressed in purple and maroon finery can be seen meeting with Morris in the Helm and Cloak Tavern. Those paying close attention would note that a lengthy business-like chat was had before the pair would shake hands and part amicably.
In recent days, members of House Vale (including its Head, Steward, and Magus) can be seen visiting the the city's outskirts and asking questions of the local residents. The queries themselves are relatively short, suggesting a simple fact-finding objective, and a modest sum of coin is offered in return for a participant's time. Those who pay attention might note that House Vale seems particularly interested in the literacy and education of their interviewees, as well as their thoughts on the city's various authorities, including but not limited to the City Watch, the Flaming Fist, and the Council of Four. An offer of anonymity is given, as well as the assurance that should any question make the participant uncomfortable, that they could swiftly move on.
