Selis smiles when she receives Vogal's note. "Oh, 'tis the same person to whom I replied upon the bulletin board! She seems eager to join us, which is always a good sign! I hope I get a chance to speak with her soon."

(( Will try to meet with you IG as soon as possible! ))

*a box arrives at the theater wrapped in green ribbon smelling of roses and incense*

*the box is intricate with designs of trees and flowers; made of Oak. Inside is a beautifully crafted mask of persuastion and a small note*

Nyx,

I came upon this in the Lair of the Trolls; north of the fields of the dead. Were it not for Sire Wyndsoul, I may have perished. The trolls were quite annoyed when I took the fine item from their stash of loot....the experience lefting me thinking of your fine company and how I might actually attend the Theaters first performance, and be lucky to do so....

I believe it to be a fine mask of the theater and it is yours with my hope your first performance goes well. I will be there to attend and wish you the best of luck.

Kindest Thoughts,

Galen'ael.

((the mask is +1 charisma, +3 diplomacy, +1 concentration, and something else, I'll just give it too you OCC next I run into her))

A neatly folded letter was placed underneath the door to the theater.

To the leader of the Performers Guild,

Hello, my name is Triatan Vaughn, freelance actor and musician. Through my travellings around the Baldur's Gate region, I ran into a few individuals who mentioned to me the existence of a performers guild located within the city of Baldur's Gate. This information sparked my interest instantly due to my love of the art of music and theater. If you are still accepting new members, I would be honored to join this troupe. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope I hear from you soon.

The following notices are put up in the inns and taverns throughout the area.

The Performers Guild which is currently being reformed will hold a meeting at The White Mask Theatre where plans for upcoming events and renovating the theatre will be discussed. All the Guild's members as well as all the others interested in participating are invited to attend.

// The meeting will take place on Monday, November 16th at 10 p.m. GMT, you can see how this converts to other timezones here: http://www.greenwichmeantime.com. The time might also change, if it would be inconvinient for those who would like to attend.

Oh, and also thought I'd mention that I'm not simply taking the guild over, but doing so with the permission of its founder - VanillaRose, the player of Selis Vhaire;)

*reads the note and then scribbles something underneath*

"I am delighted to hear that the performers guild is well on it's way.
And with performers like us, i'm sure the guild is here to stay.

I'm looking forward to the performers meeting,
And to giving everyone there a pleasant greeting.

I will be certainly be there to attend,
together with Archi, my good friend.

Nobles in Baldur's Gate have noticed that the door to the theatre is at times left ajar, with faint noise coming from inside the building.

One courageous citizen mentions having peered inside the dark halls of the theatre, seeing a figure clad in black and wearing a small mask gazing back at him, before it vanished into thin air.

This has give rise to the rumour among slightly frightened nobles that the theatre must be haunted by some kind of phantom.

*the parchment is removed from the Theatre's front door shortly after it has been place there, and a letter is sent to Glyd'yah:*

"Dear Glyd'yah,

I am glad to hear from you. I feared you might have left the Sword Coast for I haven't seen you for a while and nor have I heard about you.

Please, meet me at your earliest convenience so that I could tell you about the show which is to take place soon, and in which a few people have already expressed interest. This event will be hosted by the Performer's Guild of Baldur's Gate as opposed to a company I fear I heard little about.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,
-Aileen Lonergan."

Alison Shlump has been inquiring around Baldur's Gate about the Performer's guild. She is interested in joining, and advertisers herself as an acrobat, juggler, and musician.

The White Mask Theater: Infestation

(( This is RP related to DM Watcher's plot involving The White Mask Theater. It is not public information at this time. ))

Selis Vhaire drummed her slender fingers against the polished wood of the desk at which she was sitting. Surely Beshaba mocked her; she had barely been back in Baldur's Gate half a month when Lilly made her dramatic appearance. Selis had to give the woman credit; Lilly knew had to make an entrance. Still, the owner of the White Mask Theater was not about to let her pride and joy fall into the hands of creatures of the night.

As she drummed her fingers, Selis glanced towards the faint remnants of the warning she had received from Lilly: a slashing bite had been delivered to her right ring finger. Selis had been powerless against Lilly, which is why Mehtar had been hired. He was capable enough, Selis reasoned, but she was worried that he would not be there when she needed him. What good is a bodyguard if he is not guarding her at all times?

Still, the pair had some semblance of a plan: Mehtar would consult with the Lathanderites in Beregost, and Selis would delve into the archives and see if she could discover information about the site upon which her theater was built. She needed to review her old files as well; she remembered that some setbacks and accidents had occurred during the theater's construction, and she wondered if perhaps the materials themselves possessed any sort of wicked taint that attracted Lilly and her coven.

There was work to do, and she knew that it would take time to unravel the mystery. In the end, though, she was not about to step aside and let anyone else lay claim to her creation. The White Mask belonged to her, and to her it would always belong.

(( Selis' actions right now are searching through any public archives to find out if there is anything significant about the site where the theater is now built. She is also reviewing what little information she still has in her possession about the theater's construction to see if any clues can be found. ))
