The following letter, which is sealed in a matching envelope, is delivered in person to the Flaming Fist headquarters by Selis Vhaire. She asks that it be given to Captain Justin Crownsilver when convenient.

The Fist as the Gate heard rumor from a few farmers of a giant on the bridge over the river Chionthar. A small patrol was dispatched, and a group of travelers was questioned. After several minutes, a hooded old man admitted to casting a shape-shift spell. He was taken back to Fist Headquarters, where Belurion took a fine of 500 coin from one Tomar, and documented the fine and Tomar's name to watch for future transgressions.

An officially-sealed letter arrives at the Flaming Fist citadel in Baldur's Gate. It bears the emblem of Candlekeep, a blue-colored castle with flames burning atop its towers.
To The Honorable Duke Eltan,
Candlekeep was visited this evening by a war party of dark-skinned, half-elven women.
They brought with them three hostages, among their number a priestess of Ilmater named Abby Winters. They were unable to speak Common, but with a spell, I was able to communicate with them.
I discovered that they spoke Dambrathan, a foreign tongue spoken far, far to the south in a little-known nation called Dambrath. From what little I know of this nation, this made it clear to me that these women were of the Dambrathan ruling class, the Crinti: a race of half-drow, half-human peoples.
It also was soon uncovered that the women worship Loviatar, the Maiden of Pain, and that they were seeking an artifact of their goddess, apparently stolen away to the Heartlands.
This artifact, I was able to find out, was one that had passed through Candlekeep only days before, in the hands of some adventurers. Our Gatewarden, realizing its inherent danger, sent it out from our walls, but the Crinti were able to trace its magic to us.
Unfortunately, after I had negotiated the release of two of the hostages, Abby Winters, the third, was threatened again. This inspired several nearby adventurers to attack the Crinti women, in the middle of our negotiations, and a battle ensued.
Although the battle was stopped when Candlekeep's Guard began to organize at the gate and march down the road, many on both sides were killed or wounded.
The women were not given the cube, as we had sent it to the Weave Masters to be destroyed or hidden away, in the care of the adventurers who had brought it to us. They were also told nothing of where the cube has gone, only that it was no longer at Candlekeep.
All of the hostages were freed in the end, but the women threatened to "take revenge on those who your people have set to watch over us," for the attack which the adventurers instigated against the women.
This threat made little sense to me, but as I had heard rumors of a ship of warrior women landing in Baldur's Gate, I feared it may be in reference to something that the city has negotiated out with the Loviatans. I thus write you in warning, to be prepared for treachery, in case the women act on their threat.
I know very little of the cube they seek, and have never seen it myself: but it is apparently a "most sacred artifact" to these women, and as zealots and Loviatans, they will stop at no length to find it and take it for themselves.
I hope this information helps: Please be on your guard.
Sincerely,
Valerius
Guide of Candlekeep

*A small hand written place on the door to the Flaming Fist citadel in Baldur's Gate*
Dear Sir,
Last night, on the Traders Way, about halway way between Candlekeep and the gnolls. A strange incident happened, fog and undead.
A small patch of fog was found on and around the road. From the fog appeared various undead; zombies, skeletons and a unrecognizable type. For my observations and others, they only attacked passer-bys and left the local creatures alone.
I heard of strange things going on at Candlekeep that night, not sure if this is related too.

Lord Captins
A ten day we set out north to inves invistigayt the ship wich were spotted sayling threw the waters near the city.
We were a patrole of ten strong men all abel warriors. I was the patrole scout. We reached at the Troll Fords when we spotted their longboat full of people approaching the shores. They were all womin, butiful and strong, with gray skin, white hair and blue eyes. They had pointed ears much like an elf but they aint drow, I know what a drow looks like and these womin be much too large and not black enough.
I took to the bushes and trees to spy upon ther doings. I am no stranger at this my lords, but thees devilish women with their wikkid eyes spotted me rite away and took me captive to use me as a sheeld agaynst the rest of the patrole. It were a tense situ situwatin with them womin holding a knife to my throat. They aint understand a lick of common and we aint understand a thing they said but it were clear that they meant to kill me and try to kill the others if they moved any neerer.
Travellers arrived and nagonegosiated a truce and got the womin to stand down and wait. It seems that one of them understood the language of the halflins and were able to talk that way. The grey womins are after a treasure they claim is theirs, stolen from their lands and brought heer. The sergeant wernt about to let a bunch of barbarians ride threw the lands how ever. They said that they had hundreds more on their ship, which I find priposturus.
The travellers managed to get the womin drunk on Calyshin wine and there were much merriment among them. They are a wild lot my captins, and I am shamed to admit that they left many of the patrole men with want and desire. Enuff that some volunteered to take the travellers places as captives.
I was releeved of duty a few days later as ree-enforsement came to bolster our rank and to keep watch on these wicked wimins. Our people numbered twenty, enough to match theres. The womins had a few more than twenty but I aint count that hie. But our men had armor and the grey womins just had hides.
I was given to rest and recoveree and sent out again to the north to releeve the patrole men there. When we arrived we found the camp empty with no trace of the womins or our men. Ther longboats were gone as well and in the distants on the waters we saw the ship set to watch theirs under attack by their large vessel. I fear something happened to anger the womins. Perhaps they got impaytent with waiting for what they were looking for to be brought to them. I did not find any bodies so I don't think they slew our men.
The sergeant gave the order to retreat back to the city, and so we did befor the trolls could catch wind of us.
- Gray skin, white hair, elfin ears, blue eyes. Tall, strong for a womin. Strong for a man too. All are deadly with a bow and carry wickid looking speers. I seen them fell a hare running as fast as it can. They slew trolls too with no difficulty. Lady Bleth says they are Shadow Amazons from Dambrath. She showed me a map. Dambrath is a long ways from here by sea.
- I think one of them is a priestess of some sort. She wears all white and silver with red lining. She don't speak to the others much but when she do they all listen. She did conjure a wall of blades when one of the travellers tried to speak wif me from hiding.
- At least twenty of em, mayhaps many more on their ship. I doubt there are hundreds of them, but it is a large ship.
- Ship is large, at least twice the size of any galleon we haff.
- They got horses too, sleek gray mares. My pop were a rancher, sirs, and these were some fine horses.
- They are a wild and violent folk, quick to take insult and captives. I guess that is their way of talking.

*attaches note to front door*
Sir,
Tonight I found a bloated, fly infested body outside the front gate of the gnoll inn or temple of bhaal.
Not sure what happened to the lad. Had time to search the body for any clues to who he was or even what may have happened to him.
Found a note address to someone, presumably the deceased. The name was Markon Ascaron. The letter was lost during the scuffle with the massing gnolls .
I couldn't retrieve the body and bring it back to town. The gnolls over powered me and took the body. To who knows where.

*A report is left for the Flaming Fist*
While walking on the traderoute to Beregost, I came upon a corpse of a young woman. I fortunatley was able to raise her from the dead, due to a scroll I carried this fine day.
She was a bit nervous and did not give her name. But I gathered she worked for the N.T.E and that she believed that she was left as a sacrifice to the god Silvanus. She believes this because of the recent tournament in which animals were active participants.
She believed druids might be involved. This is worth investigating.
Signed
Thadrin

A courier wearing blue and yellow livery delivers an envelope, tied with fine cord, blue and yellow, marked with a waxen seal. Once opened, this message is relayed on fine stationary:
"Honorable men of the Flaming Fist:
I will assume that one of your former members, Thadrin, did as was asked and reported what happened to me in the Wood of Sharp Teeth. Corporal Stalwain spoke with me, and I elaborated on what occurred there... but I no longer believe I was struck by a druid.
Indeed, for the Archdruid Tarsakh was allegedly struck and badly wounded in around the same location... which, and there can be no doubt who is responsible, is close to a temple consecrated in the name of the Black Hand. It is my belief that they sought to orchestrate conflict between us and the druids, though to what end, I do not know...
Nevertheless, know that the druids are no threat to us. There is a much more malevolent force at work here, and I plan to root it out from its hiding place. All I ask of you, brave soldiers and protectors, is that you keep your eyes peeled and watch closely the roads for danger.
Sincerely,
~ Lady Bleth"

*a messenger delivers a letter bearing the seal of the Circle for Duke Eltan*
Your Lordship,
You may consider the following my sworn statement:
As I came down the road on CandleKeep, I came upon two of your soldiers....Arden and Davor.
One slain the other greivously wounded by a mage.
He spoke of sending some sort of message to you personally, this being the purpose of the attack and a coming darkness on the Land.
I immediately attacked the mage and chased him into the Coastal Area near Candle Keep.
Their I slew him and took his body back to the scene of the attack. I ressurected the slain soldier and healed the other, then turned over the body to them to take back to your fortress.
I witnessed the attack directly and will testify to such a fact if you so desire.
I am available to speak with Captain Crownsilver or any of your men at your conveince.
Kind Regards,
Galen'ael Glenstalker.
Keeper of the Circle.
Ambassador to the City of Baldurs Gate.

*A letter arrives for the Fist compound. It is hastily written, as though the author was under a certain amount of stress*
This is what I saw,
a half elf, male, medium height, brown hair, I could not make out his eye color, wearing brownish, perhaps leather, armor, and wearing a green head-band, tried to force himelf on a woman in the woods of the sharp teeth. After some struggle he beat her unconscious and I tried my best to confine him but sadly I failed. Some time passed before I was certain the culprit would not come back. Immediately afterwards I tended to the woman. She revealed herself to be one Ceci Malone. I should have known her instantly since she is with the Nashkel Trading Emporium's guard and I am their legal aid. The woman, a private within our ranks, is recovering at a safe place at the moment. Given her security is guaranteed, I will bring an officer of the flaming fist to her whereabouts for further questioning. Please handle this information confidentially as I am unaware who the culprit is.

A dwarven messenger arrives at the palace with a letter on behalf of Mutharin. The messenger insists that it's of great importance and is related to the recent murder at the White Mask Theatre, as well as to the battles throughout the Coast. After delivering it he waits for a return letter to be written so that he may return it to Mutharin.

Barvok just 'plonks' a suit of Full Plate Armour down in front of the Fist quatermaster and the front side had been torn open; the tears could be read as "Lokie". Considering the protective enchantments on this suit of armour it was quiet the feat.
"Him again?" Annoyed, the quartermaster comments while he is throwing the now useless armour to the side and looking in the back for a new set.

Wanted: Iseunduil Eriadon
Crime Assualt and Murder
I Soulblade was attacked during a routine fight against spiders. The man claimed I was partnering with and stalked me and my friend for hours before attacking and slaying Rebbeca.
Description: Tanned skin, wears a brown hood, and wields what appeared to be two short swords. Was able to make him self invisable while in sight by some sort of magic I have to assume.
The man should be considered crazy if anything for he seemed to think that he was above the laws of the land and that the fist were nothing more than puppets that could be ignored by all.
