Delphinn receives a design. Carefully unrolling the fine paper, he takes in the design. A large grin covers his face after a long moment of considering the art in front of him.

"Perfect."

After a few moments, Delphinn sends runners to take down the posters requesting artists.

" I understand that you run a little trade organization . . . Normally I would never be interested in the petty trade of others outside of the Cloudpeak Mountains, but after living deep within the mountains and speaking to the inhabitants there, perhaps I could provide some sort of connection. . .

Allow me to further explain . . . you see, the creatures up in the mountains, the yeti, the elements, the mephits. . they are nothing but mindless or enslaved beasts, but the Frost Giant's... they speak their own language,' Joutin, Joutan' or however you wish to call it, but in our common tongue they speak 'Giant'. I happen, to be one of those versed quite well in Giant and have traveled for nearly a century within these peaks, speaking to those who lurk there and trade within the mountains. . . .

Furthermore, I am familiar with the Neshkel mines, having frequently passed by on trips and such towards the mountains . . . I understand you have some sort of work to be done there?

In any case, the choice is yours. Trading is not exactly my cup of tea, as it were, but I am able to do a fair amount of communication with the creatures that dwell in the frozen wilds of the mountains. You will probably have no better offer in these frozen wastes, as the majority of adventurers and traders rather fear the Ice Giants . . . "

She nods slightly, and waits for a response.
Delphinn grins. "Well now tabarifa, you have me intrigued. What did you say your name was?"

Delphinn glances up and down the street, then looks towards the Norther Lights Inn. "Perhaps we can take a seat and discuss more. I'm very curious to hear what you offer. We can also talk about the mine."

I am forever venturing across the peaks towards Lake Weng, and often inspect the Ice caverns near the mines there. . . but enough talk of this outside. . I am sure you seek your warmth and comfort in the inn here. . . And I thank you for not choosing the tavern opposite of Town . . It lacks the sort of homely feeling I'd much rather have whilst conversing. " *She speaks and awaits for Delphinn to lead the way into the Northern Lights Inn.*

"Well met, Varia. My name is Delphinn, Delphinn Veil. Although I think you already know that since you have come to seek me out. Let us sit somewhere more comfortable and discuss business."

Delphinn extends his arm towards the Northern Lights Inn and makes small talk as they walk towards the building. "So you said you often inspect the caves near the iron mine. Have you discovered anything interesting?"

When they arrive at the Inn, the opens the door for Varia and follows her in (assuming she enters). Delphinn nods a greeting to the innkeeper with a friendly grin as he guides Varia towards the Emporium's rented guild hall. Unlocking the doors, he allows her to enter.. "Please sit where ever you're most comfortable. Would you like something to drink?"

*Letter delivered to the NTE by courier from candlekeep bearing the following wax weal and insignia: A hot iron poker and smoking pipe X-crossed over a jar of leeches.*

Esteemed Merchants of the NTE,

I am Zullo, Avowed and Physician of Candlekeep. It has come to my attention that the NTE had recently undertaken a screening of various artists of the realm. I am requesting the NTE provide me with a talented sculptor. I am willing to pay for his services, and of course the NTE for procurement.

Please inform me of the artist you would judge of sufficient talent for a work I wish performed. I also ask your discretion regarding this request. Again, I cannot emphasize enough the need for discretion in this matter; from both the Emporium, and the artist in question. I eagerly await your reply at the Infirmary in Candlekeep. May Oghma's wisdom guide your dealings, and Waulkeen's fortunes smile upon you.

Sincerely,

Early in the day a messenger arrives bearing a letter from Saint Merielle Silene, and addressed to one Delphinn Veil. He first seeks Mister Veil, and if he is found, the messenger informs him that no apology was required, that Saint Silene understood and respected his gesture of amiability. If he is not found, the message is left, along with a penned note bearing the sentiment. As soon as the message and letter are delivered, the messenger makes his way back north.

"Revenge is beneath me, but Accidents happen..."

Delphinn writes two letters. One is addressed to the Living Saint in Baldur's Gate ((PM Sent)).

The other is written to Zullo of Candlekeep.

Dear Goodman Zullo,

Unfortunately, the Nashkel Trade Emporium has no sculptors in its employ at this time. However, I may know someone that can help. James White the second was able to help me in my recent search for new heraldry for the Nashkel Trade Emporium. He may be able to help you. He has some artistic talent and even if he doesn't have the skill himself, he may know someone. He lives in Baldur's Gate. Good luck in your search.

After a few days on the road coming from Baldur's Gate through Beregost and further south to Nashkel, the warrior finally reaches his destination. He has come south looking for work as he had spent several weeks around The Gate and hadn't found much of any. Through tavern speak he had learned of the NTE and made the decision to travel the distance to see if they were in need of any guards for their caravans. To follow in his father's footsteps was his primary goal, coin came a close second.

After speaking with several patrons at the Northern Lights Inn, he had been pointed in the right direction. One of the patrons told him of the organization over a few tankards of ale. Another offered to take him to their headquarters at first light. Agreeing, the stranger to Nashkel spent the rest of the evening playing drinking games and losing coin to the locals over cards.

Once daylight broke over the town, he made his way to the building the local had pointed out to him. Adjusting his armor and positioning his sword belt, the young man took a deep breath and entered the building. He smiled at the first person he met and said...

“Well met. I'm looking for work. I've traveled with caravans since I could walk, and I'm good with a sword and shield. I was told by a local at the Northern Lights that this was the place to go. Who do I need to speak to?”

///I'll shoot you a tell when I see you IG Vinny. We can RP it out IG the rest of the way or do it here. Your call. :)

The NTE currently resides within a rented Guild Hall of the Northern Lights Inn. The innkeeper smiles at the warrior and walks him over to a nearby door. He knocks a couple of times, then swings the door open and says, "you should find the man you seek right inside."

Delphinn looks up from various documents scattered in front of him at the warrior's approach. His first expression would seem to reveal he has a great number of concerns on his mind. Quickly pushing them aside, a friendly grin appears on his face. "Well met tabarif. This may be rather fortunate timing. My name is Delphinn. Delphinn Veil. And you are?"

gimchi wrote:Shialla Shi'arroh stops by the Merchant League and leaves a note for Delphinn reminding him that she is interested in working as a guard at least until his new venture is established.

The clerk there tells her about the two requirements, willingness to take orders from an Orc, and the need to pass muster by a Living Saint - both things that Delphinn failed to mention when they spoke near the Troll Claw Hills.

She remembers how fair of face he was, and how delightfully flirtatious and quick witted.
A flush of heat runs through her when she recalls his eyes. At last there was another man in Baldur's Gate who understands that "Hoo, I'd like ta get you in the sack!" really isn't sophisticated enough for anyone with an IQ larger than a field mouse. For a moment she recalls the wicked ranger Merrok Shadowstep whose glib tongue and excessive charm had annoyed and delighted her in equal measure.

I wonder where he got to?

She asks about the Saint, then sets off to the orphanage to speak with her.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

//ooc Sister Meri runs the Orphanage right??
Elad would tell Shialla to check back in a couple of days, because if Delphinn is not in his office he would certainly leave her a letter with more information.

Delphinn leaves word with Elad that he's looking for Shialla should she stop in at the Merchants League in the near future.

A messenger brings a letter to Delphinn Veil in Nashkell. The seal bears a stylized rose and the name "Melten".

The letter hold the following text:

"Esteemed Merchants of the Naskel Trade Emporium,

I am looking for an experienced merchant who is able to estimate the value of some magical gear I came across on my several journeys and explorations.

While I am a skilled swordsman and probably not the worst at haggling prices down at the market, I have no idea what magical gear is actually worth.

This service will be rewarded, of course. I suggest a percentaged provision for the estimator, if I succeed at selling the respective items for the given prices at the auctioneer in the Friendly Arms Inn.

Sicerely,

Arwyroe Melten, Paladin of Sune and initiate of the Radiant Heart

Dunstan Darkwoods, Mercenary from the Moonsea - "..." *Just stares at you.*

When at Nashkel you could notice Mister Dzidek moving around the town, talking with locals and organizing equipment. Once everything was done he took a purple flag with a diamond on it and put it on a mast above his trading post.
Hey, I just lost it, And this is crazy, But here's my login, So PM me, maybe?
