[ Mr. Shade is leaning to his desk, yawning, and going through the 'morning' paper, waiting for the bell at the door to ring. He has added a note at the door that he is also in the bussines of printing posters and other documents. ]

/// If you do not know how to make fancy letters and such for the forums, my 'çharacter' can do those for you with a nominal fee...

[ A finely dressed half-elf enters the store and looks for the bearded man ]

Greetings Sir, I'm Mealir Ostirel. I heard you were selling signet rings. If that's the case I would like to commission one and have nine copies of it.

The signet would represent a flying seagull, with the sea below and stars in the background. Is that possible ? If it is I'd like to discuss the price.

[ He then waits patiently for the answer. ]

It all depends on the amount of detail you want. [ He puts down the gazette, and pulls out a parchment and begins to doodle on it with a piece of chalk.]

/// I'll take a while for me to produce something. ///

[The half-elf observes the picture]

"It looks nice, I can't ask for more. Let's discuss the price ! How much for ten rings ?"

It depends, do you want all signet rings to be identical, or do you wish to be able to distinguish them from each other? Just asking in case you wish to hand out one ring for each hand on your deck, once your ship's been completed. [ He casually points at one of the notices on his notice board, one of the notices that had been posted along the Trade Way. ]

[His gaze wanders in the direction the main pointed and nods] Yes, that's the idea. Good suggestion though ... Is that possible to add one letter on four of them ? At the bottom maybe. One with "C", one with "F", one with "N" and one with "M".

Not at the bottom, no, or else I fear the letter is going to be quite incomprehensible. However, if we place it above the seagull there should be enough 'free space' for it.

Now as for the proce, each individual signet ring has the price tag of 50 pieces of gold. However, since half the rings are to be replicas I charge 10 pieces of gold for each. And since the the four with the letters require adjustments to the existing mold, I believe 25 pieces of gold would be fair for each. I think that would put us at 200 pieces of gold.

/// Which is 20 000 inventory gold, or pieces of copper. ///

Everything should be ready in a week or so. [ He files the work order. ]

An eccentrically dressed man flanked by two disciplined looking mercenaries enters flamboyantly into the store. He takes a quick look around, inspecting the wares before flourishing a smile towards the man at the counter, "Hello my very good friend! I," he motions with his fingers that he is in fact, talking about himself, "am the very recently arrived Sir Bartholomew Beoulve. Your services have been recommended to me most excellently, and so let us not waste further ado. I shall commission you to create signets of this!"

He shows his house crest on his lapel to the man.

[ The man takes the crest, presses a pieace of paper against it and rubs a piece of chalk on the paper.]
I believe that should do. The fee for a single signet ring is the 50 pieces of gold. /// 5000 units of inventory gold. /// It should take about a week to complete it, so how about you drop by in a week from now? Additionally, if you want the crest to be on a shield or within a circle, or if there is any other small detailes you would desire... now would be the perfect time to tell about them.

[ Mr. Shade is finalising the contents of the work order. ]

/// I am little busy this week, so it might take a while before I can do this. (As opposed to previous wax seal images that were completed within a day or two.) ///

A wizard walks by the Emporium...

- Hmm this could be usefull....

The elf steps into the office and talks to the owner.

- Greetings
- I would be interested in a signet ring for myself.

*he thinks for a moment*

- It would have to represent the symbol of Corellon...

*he draws on a piece of parchment a mystical looking letter C*

- And inside i would like to put a letter D written in elven alphabet....

- Can you propose something?

"Hmm! Those are interesting suggestions of yours, but no. I am afraid I will have to ask you to keep it simple. I shall see you within a tenday!"

Sir Bartholomew flicks his wrist in a wave, and almost runs into the wizard behind him, "Ah! Excuse me good gent!" He sidesteps the man and leaves out the door towards his bodyguards, mutting something to get them to stop scowling.

[ Mr. Shades turns towards the elf, and inspects his drawing. He shakes his head in disapproval. ]

- How about this crescent.

[ He goes through this drawer, and presents the following image. ]

- I have in the past made a signet ring using that crescent, and the name of 'Corellon' written within it using Ysgardian runes. Ah, but you would have liked to have the symbol for the sound 'd' in elven?

[ The man squints his eyes, and rubs his bearded chin. ]

- Yes, I think I recall it's shape. It should be doable, and as said before, the fee for the signet ring is 50 pieces of gold and I think I should have it ready within a week.
