*Seth Notices all the posters advertising for workers in FAI and Baulders Gate. And says to himself " one less thing to do". He then pulls out his list of things to do:*

1. Chronical the building of the Keep * Seth checks this off as Sir Uriel amd Sir Heaman
have already begun this*

2. Preparing the grounds for the foundation *Seth has knowledge in this being from a
farm and havin foundation experience but
has been already corrected in his comments
on this. And been told the grounds are
supposedly ready*

3. Put up employment flyers * seems this has been done now as well*

* Seth checks these off his list as he reads them, looks up and smiles* " very good, seems I have a free day" says as he crumbles up the paper and throws it away in a trash bin.

Baz Silverfist wakes each of the members for shift 3 in the middle of the night Sir Seth Siger, Sir Uriel Honorblade & Master Tyn barely giving them time to wake and tosses each one of them a shovel. "Early Bird digs the well"

Upon bein abruptly wakin up, Seth tries to clear his eyes and hits himself in the face with the shovel that Baz had just given him. He shakes his head wonderin what or who..... then realises what was goin on. He looks for the others and see's them emerge much as the same as himself, still half asleep. They gather things they will need. Buckets, rope, a ladder, and a pickaxe along with some bread, water and some fruit for breakfast. Seth also sticks a couple of pints of ale in his bag for Tyn, thinkin "ya never know". The three head for the keep site.

Upon arriving the three look at each other, then the lands , and wonder where to start diggin. They talk it over and decide near the tents and tables would be a good place for a temporary well. Just as the first blow of the pickaxe was about to land, Tyn says that he could make this easier by the use of majiks. Seth stoodfast in his determination" no I'd rather do this the old fashion way" Seth says." aint nothin like a well dug by hand , my father use to always say".

Baz walks up holding a pair pair of simple L-shaped metal rods. One rod is held in each hand, with the short arm of the L held upright, and the long arm pointing forward. "Ain't ya ever heard of well witching follow me". The dwarf slowly walks around the work site holding out the metal rods and stops suddenly as the rods cross over one another making an "X". Baz quickly drops one of the rods hold the other very still slowly watching the end of the rod dip and then come back up and seems to be counting each dip. After what seems to be very long minute he turns to the group with a huge smile on his face. " 40 feet down ye should hit a vein" He then turns to Seth and says "Aint nothing like a hand dug well" and walks off laughing.

As Baz finds the spot to dig thru the well witchin, they then mark the spot. Seth looks at Baz with a bit of amazement and a bit of amusement and says " so thats how Granpappy Siger did it! Always wondered how they knew where to dig!"

Uriel watches curiously and quietly as Baz uses an odd technique to find water. He simply shrugs and nods as he indicates the point which to dig and picks up the shovel, trusting the dwarf must know what he is doing. He looks over to Tyn and Seth giving a nod to each then begins the shovelling.

*Lady Elvina seeing them doing all the hard work, brings some lemonaid and fresh homemade apple pie from her great aunt "Granny Helena", then she picks up a shovel and tries to help. Spike, her most trusted spirit guide joins in as well*

*Haeman helps to dig and after the finding of the body he speaks with a few people. He meets Mr. Mallor who expresses an interest in the Order. He takes a moment from digging and offers him a copy of the code they all live by. With Mara, Mallor and himself they continue to dig deeper and deeper, as water begins to seep into the hole. Unfortunately they had been digging so long durring the shift after the others had dug so much they noticed they couldn't get out. Mallor and Haeman then began to laugh and lucky for them Master Cyrus came along to toss them a rope to be able to climb out with.

They dug and dug and ate some of Granny Helena's famous pie. Master Cyrus asked about joining the Order as well and Haeman offered him a copy of the code too. Already being told that miss Mara would be tested during the Caravan Travel tomarrow for hte Releif effort, he asked Mr. Mallor and Master Cyrus to be there with thier as well if they wished to still join after taking a day to read the code*

Tyn is quickly awake as the work boss comes around to wake everyone. He quickly dresses and says his morning prayers to Silvanus. He then heads outside to join the others.

Looking over to Seth and Uriel he comments on how some magic might make things go faster....but Sir Seth nods it off, prefering to do it by hand.

After watching Baz locate a digging site the trio gets ready to dig......Tyn with a gleam in his eye looks at the other two "Hand dug is one thing....but this will get us going faster...."

Tyn's body begins to blur, and where he once stood, now stands a giant would......with a bir of a grin, the would looks at the other two "Does paw dug count" as he starts to tear inot the ground.

Cyrus decides to see how construction is going on the keep....as he approaches, he can hear muffled voices, but cannot see anyone. Upon getting closer, he spies Sir Haeman and another gentleman at the bottom of the half dug well. In a bit of a pickle it seems as they had dug themselves down, but didn't have a rope to get out.

Lookign around, Cyrus pulls the rope over from the crane on the site, lowing the rope down into the well. Sir Hamen climbs out and Tyn lowers some buckets of water down to the other worker. Soon he climbs out as well, and the group breaks for lunch. According to Sir Haeman, they were eating 5000gp pie.

Cyrus almost choked on that, but though better, as it was pretty expensive pie to waste.

He is content with helping set up lumber and move stone. If not for his skinton he would not be noticed much. As alwasy he tries to keep a warm, friendly smile for everyone.*

note in duty log for keep construction

Using the well for access, I have transformed into a water elemental and thoroughly explored the water-table beneath the constuction site. Everything seems to be accetable as far as uniform depth, quantities of water and levelness. One point of concern was that there was some flow between the constuction site and the vermin dens (mainly gibberlings) to the north.

I performed a similar search as an air elemental again using the well as an entry point, having similar findings.

Admittedly I know little of masonry and construction so I'll just report my findings to my superiors, trusting that they will glean what is valid and usable from my work.
