Prominent members of the Merchants' League were seen visiting the Thayan enclave in Baldur's Gate. One of them entered in grayish attire and emerged carrying several expensive-looking red garments bundled together.

Some say a man and a woman in the typical robes of the feared Red Wizards of Thay, surrounded by a quite consistent armed escort, were seen entering the Cloakwood Mines, and come out only a couple of candlemarks later. It is said their men carried what appeared to be ore samples with them. A woodsman swears he overheard they were inquiring about the quality of the metal, but it is unclear whether the individual is trustworthy or not.

"Yes, indeed, Feldepost. We will be content with the upper floor...all of it. Good, easy coin for you, and lots of empty rooms paid for. We are expecting guests in a few hours, and we will leave before dawn." said the frail looking, ivory-skinned Red Wizard before turning his back to a very satisfied innkeeper. Serving maids and scullions have been talking with few of the street market's customers about a supposed delegation from Candlekeep about to visit, or maybe a loremaster. Others disregard the rumors and ascribe the mage's behavior to typical Thayan extravagance and love for comfort and luxury.

"Indeed, we will make sure both parties profit from it. That's the foundation of a long term relationship" the pale man said, with a cold smile on his bloodless lips that never touched his icy stare, as he turned towards his female companion "is it not, sister?".
"Yes, of course" she replied in her melodic voice, her full lips curved sardonically in the depths of her cowl "if there is anyone that can grant you that kind of quality service, that would be us".
The leader of the opposing group nodded, satisfied, as he scanned the interior of the Belching Dragon and its occupants for long moments, before taking his leave with little ceremonies, followed by his associates.
The two robed siblings left shortly after, vanishing upstairs.

A strangely etherogeneous group of adventurers, formed by two well armed and well armored dwarves, a human blademaster and two cloaked figures entered the Cloakwood mines yesterday early in the morning. Few forest dwellers saw them emerge in the dead of the following night, blood, dust and other substances marking their weapons, armors and robes. After a ceremonial drink to the success of whatever goal they accomplished, and a brief exchange, the individuals finally parted ways, looking extremely satisfied.

Two tattooed, clean shaven lean figures wearing the red robes marking them as members of the legendary magocrats of Thay were seen walking their way up to the Cloudpeaks a few days ago, several well armored, impressively disciplined men-at-arms escorting them and a with a few masked and cloaked shadow dwellers scouting ahead and behind the main group. Several witnesses in Nashkell "could not help but notice" they came back with several sealed coffers and chests carried by a good number of the soldiers. Nobody got close enough to get a good look at the containers themselves, let alone what was carried within. After a night spent in a fortified camp erected well outside the city borders not to interfere with the local authorities, the small army "vanished into thin air" after a flash of intense light, presumably consequential to the use of some extremely powerful spell.

In a grand display of might, order and discipline, a small but well-equipped force of well armed, steel-clad men lead by a red-robed, exquisitely exotic woman was granted access to the great city of Baldur's Gate by a Flaming Fist Officer after a brief exchange. The woman immediately went for the Thayan Enclave, soldiers escorting her in a perfect defensive formation.

It is whispered that a gaunt, pale man clad in a resplendent red robe which marked him as one of the powerful and mysterious Red Wizards of Thay was admitted through the east entrance into Baldur's Gate in the companionship of a heavily armored and armed companion just before dawn. They were seen traveling swiftly and purposefully towards the Thayan enclave. Later, alone, the pale man supposedly wandered through the city. Some supposed he was working some kind of terrible enchantment upon the populace, while others swore they saw him carry a satchel filled with rolled scrolls that dwindled as he visited prominent organizations throughout the Gate.

After a long stay in Amn a red robed man with tattoos covering his scalp is seen entering through the east gate. An entourage of well armed, full-plated men were surrounding the man. One of which carried a massive Great-Axe on his back with the blade wrapped in enchanted linen. The group ventured straight to the Thayan Enclave and have not been seen for nearly four days straight..

A trio of men clad in resplendent red robes which marked them as the legendary magocrats and merchants of the Red Wizards were seen gathered outside of the Friendly Arm Inn selling powerful magical items in the early afternoon. After toasting the day's business with drink inside of the inn's walls, they were later seen returning to the road where a man clad in white robes was said to aggressively posture at the trio and make outrageous claims about the legality of their presence. Surprisingly, the gossips say that the Red Wizards staved their ire and it is said the encounter ended peacefully, with the man in white robes storming away unsatisfied in his poor attempt to start a fight. The trio of red-robed men stepped away from the gates of the inn shortly thereafter, vanishing in a flash of light.

Unusually clean an healthy raven flies to the Enclave building. It carries a caraefully bound letter, wrote on the finest parchment, with a seal, that looks like a lion's head.
Paper contains following:

"I am Wilhelm, from house of Lionsoul, honorable member of Waterdeep City Guard, greet you, visitors from the great lands of Thay.
In this letter, i formally notify you about my diplomatical visit. Soon enough i will head in city of Baldur's Gate from Beregost, and i expcect to see a person in charge here for future discussion of my offering.

W.L."

After some time, Wilhelm arrives before Enclave building. It is a big and tough old man, who wears shiny and polished armor and a blue cape, that seems to be made for some ceremonies, rather then for travelling. He slowly walks in to the building.

A local priest of Ilmater, Ameris, is seen attending the Enclave. He speaks with a merchant inside, and leaves a letter. He lingers for a moment or two, looking around at the magical wealth and wonders displayed, then leaves.

A hooded figure can often be seen reclining on one of the sofas within the main hall of the Enclave. If asked, she makes it known that she is awaiting the return of Magus Altyani.

Red haired tiefling dressed in orange clothes pays a visit to thayan enclave.

With thick collection of papers in her hand, she mentions a magical project of sorts that requires a skilled arcanist to complete it. She says she is willing to pay and would like to know if Red Wizards would be interesting in completion of it.
