Great idea! I think my rogue might like something like this, Not so much on the wizard since if she gets lost all she does is teleport out!

Those who own a Wondrous Map feel a subtle wave of arcane energy rushing at them. When the check their map, they will find that it has miraculously extended - just as Thylara had promised.

Once again, owners of the Wondrous Map feel that subtle wave of arcane energy. And once again Thylara does not dissapoint them - the chart has extended juts as it did before.

mechanically, some yes, some no.
rp-wise, absolutely! to our characters this is a real world, are you telling me you could never get lost in the real world? i mean yeah, if you never go anywhere, but that's not what adventures do

But if you don't get lost, how will you find ancient ruins by accident?
Though, such a map can be a Navigator's dream. *hint, hint* - Said the Navigator of the Wanderess
this thread is pure win. and Hoihe, just because you have map of the known areas, and use it, does not mean there are not uncharted areas. in fact, i would argue being abreast of the situation would allow for more opportunity to find those ancient hidden ruins. because you are not looking in the same spot everyone else has. are you telling me Columbus, and the like just sailed off with no maps. nah bra, nah.
much less magical ones

The Coast is taking on a very odd shape indeed. Great work, though... Pure excellence.
