Kierran scratched the long scar on the left side of his face, the damn things still itched. Sure, you could heal the thing completely, as many people had told him. But Kierran decided to keep it, as a memory what happens, when you fail.
He sighed and moved to the table, his steps quiet as a cats. On the table was an empty ale mug, coin purse, half burned white candle which gave out black smoke and a piece of paper.
Yes.. The paper
It hold the names of people that had written their names on the ledger at the Friendly Arms Inn, the ledger still safely at the inn. He himself, currently in Baldur's gate. He had found the sleezyest inn and reside there, on a poor excuse for a room. The window had cracks, the ale was bad and the straws on the down stairs room, which also served as a some kind of an bar, hadn't been changed for a while.
Same as his bed straws.
It suited him just fine.
"Well... He muttered to the empty room and sat on his bed, running his hand through his black mane, his sharp grey eyes still fixed on the piece of paper, dressed only in his loincloth, his blackened mithral armor neatly in the corner, his other cloths next to them, as folded with care like the armor. His sword resting against the bed. "If i'm going to do this, i might do this right. He continued to talk to himself. And decided to go to speak to a man, one that was good at telling things beforehand, so everyone would get a healthy warning, but not the whole tale.
Gossip was such a wonderful tool.
Rumor starts to spread, that man known as Kierran Naver will lead the adventuring party, and wishes to meet when he's back from his trip to Athkatla. It's not exactly sure why he's visiting the city, but should return on about tenday when more insightful information will be given. At this time it's not sure why he is setting this up, perhaps to drill them, while others speak of him wishing to measure up the people who had signed the contract. It is said he has done this kind of work to the Nashkel Trade Emproium. Yet even more shocking and suprising is the choice of the leader.
