The Silverstar, Selena, could be seen aiding with any task given to her by the clergy of the temple. She'd then leave around midday, and come back before the evening's start. She wasn't around for long, before departing out into the night... only to come back at Dawn's Rise. This happened daily, for the past few days.

10th of Tarsakh 1350 DR

Making a brief stop by the Song of the Morning temple in Beregost, the Dawnpriest Tolan, picks up a few items and heads outside again. After a brief talk with Ross and Brian outside the temple, Tolan heads for the northern gates of Beregost.

At the gates he meets up with a female figure. Together the two of them travel to the coast south of Candlekeep and buys passage on a ship headed for the Baldur's Gate harbor. As soon as they arrive they make their way Church of Ilmater. After but a few minutes inside the temple, the two of them go outside the city to the Eastern Farmlands and join a Caravan headed north for Waterdeep.

At both the Song of the Morning temple and the Church of Ilmater is a note for the clergy.

  • "Brothers and Sisters,

I take my leave for a few days in search of Vicar Thomas. While this may come at a bad time, I feel that he will be crucial to the task that is bringing Cecilia and Ameris back among us and tend to their healing.

Rest assured that I will not be travelling alone and will travel by Caravan for some of the way and aiding our travels with magical means to cover distance at a much faster pace. I expect us to be back on the 13th or 14th of Tarsakh.

    Signed,
    Tolan Faeglin
    Morninglord of Lathander
Dawnpriest of the Song of the Morning temple, Beregost"

Cecilia enters the Song of the Morning Temple, metallic boots clicking on the stone floor as she strides toward the backward doors purposefully. Gently stopped in her path by Kelddath, The Most Radiant, they exchange a few quiet words, which increase in fervor as they continue. It is not difficult to understand that their conversation is a heavy one. After a few minutes, the paladin heads downstairs and is not seen again for many hours, returning only to request permission to stay the night.

Having only recently returned to the Song of the Morning, Neschera's all too happy to help find accommodations within the temple when she learns of their visitor. Preparing fresh bed linen and a light snack with her typical flair for Cormyrian cuisine, for when Cecilia heads back up again.

Returning to her own duties with a ghost of a smile trailing her lips and a contended look in her eyes.

DM Maecius wrote:White smoke can be seen wafting above the Church of the Morninglord in Beregost. There is an air of excitement about the place, and talk of miracles and "light after darkness." Everyone seems happy, and relieved, about something.
The light in the room dims, souls return and life seeps back to it's host. Victory has been claimed on this day, the weary faces of those involved; friend, brother, lover and knight bear a sense of great joy, awe and relief as they finally step out onto the streets of Beregost and into the coming dawn.

A bleary eyed man matching the description of Ameris, in a disheveled state and wearing the holy symbol of Ilmater , delivers two letters to the Song of Morning Temple. He walks slowly back towards the inn.

A quarter of an hour or so later, he returns, now clad in plate armour. He asks for one of the letters back, stony faced, yet when it is received he merely holds it a few moments before leaving it again to be delivered to its recipient. He heads south.

Valiant is seen lamenting in the temple, one moment he is self-aware and sane. . . the next he's definitely not. He is being taken care of by ever-increasingly agitated priests-- his behaviour is exhaustive, consisting of opening and slamming doors, screaming about demons and begging for alcohol.

A greeting of the Dawn, 14th of Mirtul
As the light of the new dawn illuminates the main hall of the Song of the Morning temple it is greeted by the churches choir, lead by recently ordinated voice, Varra Pegason.
The radiantly clad ensemble continue in hymn for the following hour, their harmonies emanate out into the streets of Beregost enticing the denizens inside. Those who enter the halls are greeted by water touched by the new dawn and are welcomed to take a seat to enjoy the spectacle. Whispers of a celebration of midsummer spread throughout the benches of the hall, a day of festivities and joy.

Travelling in the hush of night, the cloaked figure approached the doors of the temple. Cowled in blue, she stepped inside. Speaking to as little as possible, she had only stayed for a few hours before leaving before morning prayer. . .

She was not seen again until the fall of night once more.

As a heavy rain poured down one night in Beregost, a golden cloaked and hooded man could be seen making his way towards the Song of the Morning Temple. He gave each of the guards situated outside the large doors a nod and, for a few minutes, conversed with them, seemingly as if he'd known them for some time.

He would eventually make his way into the temple and could be seen by those in the temple engaging in a conversation with the High Priest, Kelddath Ormyrr, once again seeming to know the High Priest as the two laughed and smiled, talking about nothing of great importance.

Before he left, though, this golden cloaked and hooded individual left an open letter to members of the clergy and those whose faith lies in He, the Morning Lord, Lathander.

"Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It's been too long since I last stood in this temple. Last I remember, Beregost was but a heap of rubble during the war. Her beauty has been restored as is evident by what I've seen. I hope to meet those of you who have chosen Beregost and the Song of the Morning Temple as your place of worship and prayer in an effort to re-establish myself in these lands.

May the light of the Morning Lord guide your path,

Lance Renslin"

The Morninglord Tolan arrives but an hour later and reads the letter left by Lance. With a small smile on his lips, he goes to the upstairs meeting room and pens a response. He returns half an hour later and leaves the open letter with the one written by Lance.
  • "Greetings Brother,

Those who do the work of our lord and seek to spread his teachings through actions, words and example, will always find a home with the Song of the Morning Temple and Brothers and Sisters to greet him or her.

I am curious to meet you in person as the Most Radiant One could only tell me so much before his own duties took him away.

Until we meet, may you walk in the light.

    Signed,
    Tolan Faeglin
    Morninglord of Lathander
Dawnpriest of the Song of the Morning Temple, Beregost."

When the past comes knocking - 22nd of Mirtul, DR 1350

The Morninglord Tolan enters the temple and immediately asks to speak with Kelddath Ormlyr, the Most Radiant One, in private. Together they head upstairs and neither are seen for almost an hour, until Kelddath returns down alone. Half an hour later, Tolan also comes down, carrying a letter in one hand. He nods to Kelddath and hands him the letter, leaving the temple soon after.

*Ayla spends a moment in the temple, speaking to Kelddath with a concerned gaze. After a while, she leaves a note to the priest and wanders out toward the inn*
