Re: Criminal Record of the Red Sorceress
A wandering huntsman cowered behind a bush, too afraid to insert himself in the ensuing spellbattle between two great arcanists. In the Friendly Arm Inn tavern later that day, the hunter is visibly shaken and recounts a horrifying tale.
A masked woman trailed by a vampiric warrior confronted another woman demanding her surrender. Another masked man, unknown to the huntsman at the time, stood far from the scene surveying his handiwork. The conversation quickly escalated and the two magi engaged each other using powerful spells. The fight stopped all of a sudden as the two epic casters stared each other down, both protected by sanctuary magics. The eye of the storm soon passed as the masked woman stomped one of her high heel boots into the ground and screamed sending shock waves throughout Cloakwood Forest.
Dead birds rained down from the air all around the masked sorceress as she stalked forward to collect her prey. The birds were just unfortunate victims who were unlucky enough to have flown by during the death wail. The wail must have been what attracted the attention of two more seasoned adventurers who tried their best to intervene and rescue the unconscious woman. But even their moral fortitude and seasoned reflexes could not standup to the force brought to bare by the masked witch. The magi quickly squeezed out one man with a huge magical hand, while the other was soon drained dry of all blood. With all her foes decimated, the masked magi claimed her prize and disappeared with the unconscious red haired woman on her shoulders into the forest.

Re: Criminal Record of the Red Sorceress
Rumors pour out of Beregost about an exciting and strange occurrence at the Tavern.
It was a typical day in Beregost. The street vendors were busy shouting and haggling with customers. A blacksmith led a mule carrying a new shipment of ore to the smith shop. A little girl in big muddy boots helps her mother feed the animals. Shady merchants, hustlers, and thieves come in and out of the allies to peek around before disappearing back into the shadows to conduct their business. A street urchin steals a loaf of bread and takes off with it as a fat middle aged food vendor screaming obscenities chases the boy with a stick. Yes, it was a typical day in Beregost. Until the moment a red haired woman smashed through a upper floor window head first...
Vendors, bustling citizens, ally rats, and even the young street urchin and his pursuer stopped in midstride to whip their heads toward the surprising scene unfolding before them. As the red woman crashed headfirst through the window holding a large bag of goods, she flipped once landing with her back on a overhang just below the window and slid down to the cobbled street to land on her feet with the grace of a panther. Two shimmering daggers soon followed the woman out the window to fly straight toward her. To the bystanders witnessing the event, it looked as if the daggers were some magical attack aimed at the escaping woman. As the crowd continued to stare slack-jawed at the incredible woman, she raised her bound hands up to snatch the incoming daggers without even looking and tucked them away into her belt. The woman's hands were bound with what looked like masterwork manacles and her face was pale, bruised, and embedded with a few small shards of glass stuck in her raw cheeks.
The young street urchin looked at the woman with a small smile of admiration as screams for her capture kept coming from the second story window. The red haired lady then hefted the bag onto her shoulder, gave the young boy a wink, and very briefly stared down the fat middle aged food vendor who quickly dropped his stick and walked sheepishly right back to his stand. The young spirited woman then sprinted out of sight.
Moments later, a masked woman stared out of that same window at the fleeing red haired escapee. The Masked woman's eyes narrowed and suddenly erupted with spellfire; a small cut on her cheek was noted as trickle of blood ran down her face before the mysterious woman turned away from the window. The whole event happened in less than a minute, but all day long commoners in Beregost shared the exciting tale. Each one proposing their own conspiracy theory as to what just happened.

Re: Criminal Record of the Red Sorceress
A letter is written to Sabel and the information is more or less circulated about the Dead Crows.
I am letting you know of an operation commenced. The details are as follows:
Earlier today I was approached by our associates in the South and requested to muster as many allies as I could to aid in a job. I provided 2 assets whose names are withheld for secrecy reasons, and managed to get Drokar in as well. We were told to seek a Divine Artifact on a ship. Transport and reinforcements would be provided. After meeting on the shore South of Candlekeep we were met by 3 boats. They moved North with impressive speed to intercept the target ship and after several volleys commenced to boarding actions. Words were tossed between captains before the full power of the raiding party was impressed upon the defenders. A thorough search of the ship turned up nothing. I teleported the group out and we went our separate ways. There is either a leak on the part of our Southern friends or they are getting bad information. Regardless an impressive amount of risk went into this and there is nothing to show for it. Suggest follow up with Southern Allies. ****

*Letter sent to Sabel and circulated around the Dead Crows*
I have attempted to follow up on the blunder that was the boat job, and made contact with the usual connections, it appears the Shadow Agent involved is no longer in Beregost and rumors have it that the Masters in Amn are very much less then pleased. Personally that makes two groups. I am not impressed with the recent encounter and if this turns into a trend.. Well things could require a second look.

Re: Criminal Record of the Red Sorceress
Cloakwood has been dark and full of terrors lately. Just some weeks earlier, sightings of vampires and deadly magi leaving a path of death and destruction in their wake were reported deeper in the woods. Now, there are reports of a dark masked warrior, two other magi, and an infernal demonic beast that were locked in a deadly confrontation with a heavily armored Priestess.
Reports from a few travelers and adventures who witnessed the event, spoke of the resilience the Priestess had in fending off the brutal assault from the balor. The battle ended with the priestess finally falling to one knee and collapsing under the weight of the overbearing volleys of magics directed at her from all angles. The Priestess did not go out quietly however, not before she felled the masked warrior, draining him dry and nearly one of the other magi as well.
The female witch chatted with her assassin comrade as he pulled the nearly dead and unconscious warrior to safety to greet him with curative magics. The female witch then walked over to the scorch marked armored Priestess, now laying dead on the forest floor, and proceeded to cut off a lock of her hair along with her snow flake shaped pendant. The witch dangled the pendant with one hand at eye level while it spun in the sunlight glittering. The assassins then gathered themselves up in a huddle before exploding in a flash of light, presumably making their great escape.

A local gang was spotted outside of Beregost looking very pale and injured. As they gathered themselves up, many rubbing their heads in confusion, there was talk of a house of true horrors they somehow barely escaped from with their souls still intact.

Re: Criminal Record of the Red Sorceress

*A letter is addressed to all Dead Crow agents*
Our goal has been fulfilled; all 1,680,000 coins have been accounted for and will be used to pay off our creditors. Thanks to many of your efforts, we now have a home and a base of operations from which to plot our rise to power.
I have been working on recruitment these last few weeks and we have a new wave of talent knocking on our door. ****, ****, and **** are just our newest line of impressive individuals. There are five others I'm still talking to so our forces will be even stronger yet.
There are still more additions that need to be made to our base of course. The underground Beregost tunnel is still yet unfinished. I also have been giving considerable thought to the notion of adding a public sanctuary that can be accessed by other cutthroats and smugglers, but yet has a locked door that leads into our abode that only we can access. I almost wish for a gamblers den and pub but we will have to see how feasible it is.
While it has felt like we have been at a standstill for the past few months, understand we have been building up our forces and securing our flag here in this area. The construction of our base will prove to be an historical event and shall signal the start of a revolution and the rise of a new order. The game begins and the next move is ours.

*The mysterious Dark Chronicler sets his quill back inside the ink jar as he blows on the writings to dry the fresh ink. The Chronicler later goes downstairs in the Dead Crows base of operations and heads toward the storage room to file his journal entry*
****, Sabel, and ****, answered a summons from their nefarious allies in Beregost. The Shadow thieves wanted a powerful mage disposed of and some evidence planted on the victim to throw off suspicion.
The three Dead Crow assassins made their way to the Friendly Arm Inn to find their target. ****, after checking inside the Inn, located the mage but was beaten severely and throw out. Sabel and **** went in to follow up on their associate and finally located ****. After gathering their companion, the three assassins stepped upstairs to confront this mysterious mage.
The mage came rushing out as the three assassins approached one of the rooms. The mage tried to cast a spell but was smacked down with a spectral hand by the Red Sorceress as **** rushed in to finish the job with her katanas. Sabel laid down the mask and dagger beside the now mutilated body and teleported **** and herself out of the Inn.
**** stayed behind to enact her own little scheme. **** carried a note from the Coven of Darkness and planted the evidence along with the dagger and mask. The sorceress then reported the murder to Bentley, the innkeeper, and ran interference as questions filled with suspicion rained down upon her. **** was successfully able to throw off any suspicion as to her connection with the murder. The young Sorceress finally returned to the base to join up with her dark allies Sabel and **** to debrief them on what just transpired.

Beregost Crack Down
A poster is put up on the wall in the meeting room as the Red Sorceress steps back from it with her usual calm whimsical smile upon her face.
"I'm actually disappointed, I've been paid to kill others for much more. You'd think I could at least get 50,000 for my pretty little head." Sabel laughs softly to herself before spinning on her heels to face the door and leave the room. Once in the hallway, Red turned to go and check on the severely battered ****.
*a letter arrives to the Shadow Thief known as "Big Papa" via a series of messenger boys*
Greetings comrade,
If you're still among the living, I'm sure you have noticed the crackdown from the Governess, and the employment of a certain Golden Legionary to lead them in their new found cause. The Amnian forces have already raided the budding "Gamblers Den" and seek to restore their sanctimonious law upon the town of Beregost.
This is seriously jeopardizing our operations within the region, and setting back another one of our ongoing contracted jobs within the town. Our bands created a pact between us long ago. You wished to further your influence into Baldur's Gate, and we ended up receiving a zone of absolute freedom within the confines of this town full of peasant farmers. My question is, what do the "shadows" prowling all those alleys have to say about all this?
We wish to make a deal and await your reply.
The Red Sorceress

Rumors spread of a growing insurrection against the new order being implemented in Beregost. Many of the thieves and cut throats that ran the local streets had become all too comfortable with the Amnian forces spread out so thinly. Now that the thieves nests are being disturbed, many locals believe it will likely to provoke even more violence and retribution as the various cartels hold on tightly to their levers of power.

This crackdown was interrupted by a cowled woman fruitlessly trying to take a sneak peek at the jail, and a red haired arcanist having attacked the officer Antonio de Coibra. After a brief fight (which claimed a halfling as collateral casualty), the woman escaped. The cowled and masked woman was instead apprehended, held, "interrogated", and then literally thrown out of the town with very few intact bones left. "Devil worshipper scum" were reportedly the nicest things the guards yellet at her before tossing her out.
Despite the ruckus, this crackdown of illicit operations has been favorably received by the local populace, who is starting to see a faint gleam of hope for the future of the town's law and order and is especially pleased to see the law enforcement taking action against unruly pact mages.
As for the red haired woman, many posters are being nailed to lamp-posts all over Beregost, Nashkel and the road leading to the FAI:
Red Haired Arcanist
*follows an accurate description of Sabel Faeria*
Bounty: 25k gold coins, dead or alive
Accessory: 5k gold coins for any useful information people can provide about her
This woman is wanted by the authorities of Beregost for aggression against public officer, attempted murder, illicit practicing of magic, and resistance to arrest. Those interested in collecting such a bounty can speak to the governor Isabella Beninio or to the local commander, Antonio de Coibra. Anyone bringing this dangerous criminal to justice will receive the gratitude of Amn, as well as the just reward for such a task.

Re: Criminal Record of the Red Sorceress
Beregost Crack Down Continued...
*Sabel puts out a memo on Beregost*
Since I had my run in the cur known as Antonio, I've had time to think about how we should proceed in Beregost. I have not heard a peep from our supposed allies. So this leads me to believe the Amnian Shadow Thieves are either dead, scared, or in hiding, and therefor we must pull this job ourselves. There's no sense in relying on them anymore as they are turned out to be absolutely worthless and unresponsive allies. Perhaps we should have killed them when we had the chance but that's a question for another day.
I want someone to meet with the Fist in Baldur's Gate to see if there is any way we can contract some of their mercenaries. I want us to study Beregost’s caravan routes and other forms of commerce in order to place a real strain on the Governess. If we can't outright get rid of her, I’d like to force her to the bargaining table. When her town starts losing goods, and food shortages start to set in due to our sabotage, she will have no choice but to negotiate with us and we will get back our safe haven.
Dark Blessings,
The Red Sorceress
______________________________________________________________________________
A few citizens of Beregost have complained about faint and muted sounds in the middle of the night. A fewer selection of these individuals say the faint disturbances sound like dozens of picks slamming into solid bedrock.
Meanwhile, fifty feet down below the streets of Beregost...
The dark sooty tunnel is filled with the stench of scores of sweaty unwashed humanoid bodies, discarded food, and a hint of death. Most of the workforce seems to be comprised of goblin slaves captured from the mines near Beregost where they lair. Some bugbears, orcs, hobgoblins, and even humans make up the rest of the slave labor force. All who hold a pick instead of a whip toil away leaving all hope behind them as day by day they inch further and further into the tunnel. Most of the disheveled slaves know they will never see their families again once the project is completed. The only thing that drives their picks hard into the bedrock are the sharp ends of whips and spears driving into their own backsides.
A group of goblins pick away at a large granite boulder that is holding up progress. One of the goblins falls over onto the ground exhausted, the backbreaking work plus the lack of nutrition had finally caught up to him. A hin with a whip immediately ran over to the downed goblin screaming at him and started wildly whipping the poor devil. Lacking the energy to even scream out in pain, the goblin merely groaned as the skin on it's back was flayed open due to the relentless beating. A pool of blood soon enveloped the dead goblin as the others in his group huddled away in the shadows terrified.
The death of the goblin only seemed to anger the hin more as he began kicking the carcass over and over again. After the hin's rage had run it's course, he called out to another human, "we have some more dead weight!" The mysterious hooded monk walked over calmly to the corpse and began the ritual. Several moments later, the once dead goblin began to stir. The goblin finally stood up and looked at the human priest with a blank stare. None of the goblins wounds healed and it still held the lifeless greenish color it had when it died. The priest commanded his zombie to follow him to where another group of zombies toiled away carrying various equipment and materials around as if they were nothing more than pack mules.
A woman wearing red silk robes walked down the corridor to examine the progress being made as she spoke to several of the overseers. The Sorceress's hood hung low upon her features while only exposing her lips and lower jaw as usual. The red robed woman placed a hand upon her hip while looking all around as the slave crews steadily swung their picks, none of them daring to make eye contact with their overlord. A smile spread across her fair features as she gave her blessings to the mad hin overseeing the tunnels excavation. Satisfied with her inspection, the Red Sorceress made her way back out of the tunnel and into the vast underground fortress hidden deep and far away from civilization and the rule of law.

Wanted Dead or Alive...
Rumors are spreading fast of a brash young sorceress's confrontations with the law in the towns of Beregost and Nashkel. Known simply as the Red Sorceress by the locals, she is believed to be the ring leader of a notorious gang of assassins who have made Beregost their haven. Most already know of the attack on the Golden Legionary Captain Antonio in Beregost by the upstart sorceress a few weeks back, but there was yet another meeting between the two that took place in front of a crowd of witnesses. The Golden Legionary attempted to stop the Red Sorceress from crossing his town using the might of the Beregost militia. After a brief exchange of pleasantries and threats, the Sorceress was able to teleport out of sight.
The most recent disturbance by this gang of cutthroats happened in the Temple of Helm where the band of criminals was kicked out of there for inquiring about very sensitive information regarding the temple's physical holdings. When a temple sentry sensed something more nefarious was going on, he called out for a large force of guards to detain the sorceress and her companions but they instantly vanished just before the guards’ spears were able to find their mark.
All these disturbances have left many in the area feeling less than safe and secure. A growing minority are even blaming the Captain in Beregost for the increased level of violence as he continues his crack down on the thieves in town.

Beregost Crackdown (The capture of Cecilia and the Copper Fox)

*Posters are put up all around Beregost, but most are concentrated around the immediate perimeter of the Temple of The Morninglord. It reads as an open letter directed to the temple officials, the Governess, and to Antonio the Golden Legionary and leader of the Beregost militia*
Greetings and well met,
I sit back in my armchair thoroughly amused by what rumors I hear floating around Beregost these days. It seems to me that too many of those who claim to be agents of good and justice, are so blinded by revenge that they they are seriously considering putting an innocent man on trial for his life due to actions that are mine alone. Understand this authorities of Beregost, you have taken what does not rightfully belong to you. These are OUR streets and our demand is simple. Cease your crack down on the Gamblers Dens or face our wraith.
Good peoples of Beregost, you are being occupied and spied upon by a foreign corrupt power. The Amnian forces and the Temple of the Morninglord do not care about your safety or well being. These corrupt powers collude to keep you impoverished while they use your town as a military barracks to pursue their imperialist agenda. Do not fall into their web of lies, join the resistance and tell these Amnian dogs to go back home!
The one known as Eldarian was my first example. I spotted him having a spirited argument with the one known as Kahanak before both men shook hands and left. Afterward, I had one of my agents pulverize the paladin of Lathander before disintegrating his carcass. I only promise more bloodshed to come until our demands are met and the Governess recognizes our privileges within the town of Beregost. My agents are everywhere and we will bleed all you imperialist scum dry with a thousand pin pricks.
We rebels fighting for the cause of freedom will not tire in our pursuit to unshackle the good peoples of Beregost from the chains that the Governess, and the hypocritical priests and lords of the Morninglord Temple have placed upon them. Most of your bounty hunters will tire of following my trail, and the ones lucky enough to find me will have their heads sent back as proof of their failures. All of this bloodshed can be stopped immediately if the Governess meets with us to negotiate a truce.
I bid you all a good day,
-The Red Sorceress

*An excerpt is written in the Dead Crows Charter/Journal*
It was a sunny and warm day by all accounts coming from the people on the surface. But far below the sun-kissed road of the Tradeway, the dingy dungeon cell was anything but warm and inviting. Cecilia, the paladin of Tyr, and local favorite among the Temple of Lathander, was being put through a series of trials that would test her faith like no other time in her life before.
The Red Sorceress had successfully captured the paladin after spying on a conversation she had with a Helmite of the Silver Shields. In that conversation, Cecilia expressed concerns that the populace of Beregost had fallen for the Sorceress's propaganda and that the trial of Kahanak should be pushed forward to allow the witness to testify safely and ensure his conviction. Cecilia also mentioned **** and how her cohorts were keeping an eye on the hin.
After spying in on this conversation, The Red Sorceress found the perfect opportunity to capture her and interrogate her until the witnesses identity was revealed. As Cecilia entered the Mayors Manor, Red was hot on her trail traveling through the shadows to reach her, subdue her quickly, and teleport out of there before any guards could intervene.
Several hours later, Cecilia was a bloody mess. The Red Sorceress herself tried to break the paladin using very painful and sapping negative energy blasts. After an unsuccessful session, Red called in a few more members with much more experience in interrogations to finish the job. ****, ****, and the now ex-member **** came in to setup shop in Hyena's dungeon. But unfortunately, they too were not able to break the indomitable resolve of the lady paladin of Tyr as they did their worst to the paladin.
Had the question sessions continued, perhaps they would have finally found her weak spot. Sabel even went out to collect the one known as the Copper Fox, who was believed to have close ties with Cecilia, in order to use him to gather information. Cecilia was still too stubborn to give in, even as her dear friend, the Fox, was bearing the brunt of the Dead Crows methods.
The interrogation came to a quick halt as bands of adventurers, along with a good share of the Beregost milita camped outside the Dead Crows fortress. Most members were out on errands, including ****, ****, and Sabel leaving only the house guards and staff in place when the calls for Cecilia's release came echoing into the main chamber of the stronghold. Wesley was somehow able to secure an escape route and carried Cecilia's broken form out of the fortress before they could be subdued.
As for now, the Dead Crows struggle to find out what exactly went down and how to recover from this setback in their plans. The witness's identity still remains shrouded in secrecy as the trial looms ever closer to actualization.

The Red Sorceress is running a few errands in the Docks District when she notices the boy asking about the Crows. The Red Sorceress merely states, "Tell your master that he will get his meeting," before disappearing into the shadows once again."A young boy was seen around the slums district, asking people where he could find the Dead Crows. "

Re: Criminal Record of the Red Sorceress
Recent conversation present within many of the taverns and other places of talk has brought to light the suspicious and sudden death of a blue clad individual named Al nearby Bentley's Inn. The body was found frozen and shattered behind a boulder just off the trade way leading north. Little else was left behind except for two sets of footsteps and a rather significant amount of frosted grass and dirt surrounding the body, leading towards the road whereupon they suddenly end.

Meeting with Ronin
*From the mysterious Dark Chronicler writings*
Ronin, a warrior of the Radiant Heart, left a note for the Red Sorceress to plan a meeting and discuss only the gods knows what. Sabel was able to recruit four agents for the job after the clever **** was able to spot the lone warrior and head back to deliver the information to Sabel. The ****, ****, Red, and Red's trusted personal bodyguard, ****, gathered up their gear and readied themselves for whatever dangers such a meeting could conjure.
The Dead Crows went ahead to the planned meeting spot. The Red Sorceress was no amateur when it came to walking into dangerous situations, so she left a trail of strategically placed alarms around the area.
And the first one to trip those alarms was the infamous Valiant who came into the area moving silently. But it was not silent enough; the Red Sorceress aided with detection spells was able to spot the would-be infiltrator immediately and confronted him. The Red Sorceress demanded Valiant allow himself to be detained or face the consequences. Valiant was immediately spooked, and without thinking cast an enchantment to see invisible creatures, Red was none too pleased and attempted to mind scramble the dark warrior. Valiant was just barely able to throw off the mental attack and was saved from becoming Sabels new pet.
Valiant reached for his iconic flaming great sword and was able to get off a few attacks on the flat footed sorceress. Sabel was already enchanted with a powerful premonition spell and easy ducked the first attack. The second swing coming at a downward angle barely missed the witch as she sidestepped the massive blade with trailing fire licking at her skin. Sabel was finally able to confuse the warrior as she dropped a smoke bomb to escape out of sight while the rest of the assassins attacked the dark armored fighter from all sides. The Dead Crows assassins quickly dismantled Valiant leaving him for dead as another figure stepped into view.
The warrior Ronin made his way further into the forest for the meeting and the assassins soon followed. At the meeting with Ronin, the Red Sorceress started to speak, but before the discussion could go further, Red heard several of her alarms go off and suspected an inevitable ambush was underway. Frustrated the meeting had to be cut short, the assassins fled back to their base of operations via a teleport spell. The Dead Crows are now searching for another opportunity to hear from this official of the Radiant heart.

Revolving encounters with the persistent Paladin of Tyr (Cecilia)
*From the mysterious Dark Chronicler writings*
**** and the Red Sorceress spotted Cecilia about a week after her "trials" in the Dead Crows dungeon on the high road heading south toward Beregost. During the paladin's capture, the assassins were unable to break her resolve and gain access to the information on the secret witness. Three different interrogators were called in and none of them could get the Maimed Gods servant to release the identity of this important witness in Kahanak's trial before Wesley was able to execute a spectacular escape with Cecilia in tow. Now with the paladin once again in the two assassin's sights, they immediately apprehended her with the **** being able to subdue the paladin and leave her defenseless for the Red Sorceress to use her mind tricks.
Cecilia was taken to the coastal beach, and with enervation blasts slowly wearing her down, Cecilia was unable to resist Red's pull on her mind and she released the information the Dead Crows had been seeking all this time; unfortunately for the two rugged assassins, the information was "nothing". All that time the paladin of Tyr had been doing her job to throw off her captors even in the face of painful and barbaric tactics.
The paladin of Tyr, Cecilia, has since been searching for justice and seeking out members of the Dead Crows to haul off to the Fist. The persistent beautiful warrioress stumbled upon the **** twice and tried to subdue and arrest him. The **** was well beyond her powers and smacked down her attempts leaving the paladin helpless and unconscious.
A few days later, The Red Sorceress and the **** stumbled upon the paladin again to confront her, and find out more information on the trial. The conversation was none too pleasant as one could imagine and the two mages teleported out of the area when more witnesses arrived. However, the mages did not leave before releasing a balor through a gate opened to the abyss.
With the two mages gone from the scene, the balor was released to rampage across the Prime Material plane unchecked and to finish off this soldier of the Maimed God along with countless numbers of other innocent souls. However, rumors have already circulated that the paladin of Tyr, along with a seasoned woodsman and archer, were just barely able to defeat the beast and send him back roaring to it's own home plane. Once again, Cecilia has seemingly thwarted the Red Sorceress's plans.

Re: Criminal Record of the Red Sorceress
*the writings of the Dark Chronicler leak out into the ether*
As word of the Red Sorceress's demise circulates around the town of Beregost, much of the citizenry cheers in celebration. The sorceress's trail of brutal attacks and abductions made her into a character of notable infamy, and there's no doubt many of the good folk were relieved to see her brought to justice.
The magic wielding assassin was known for having formed a massive criminal empire, and had designs on infiltrating Beregost's power structure and making it her and her allies own. Sent to this region on a mission to setup an outpost in the area, the Red Sorceress was hard at work recruiting talented killers and spies as well as forging alliances between the various nefarious factions in the region.
Even as it was rumored that the Zhentarium and the Red Wizards scoffed at her offer of partnership with the Dead Crows, Sabel was still able to gather large forces together united in a common cause more than a few times. What's even more disturbing is the rumored alliance the Red Sorceress was able to forge just before her capture by two Silver Shield agents. That development could cause major trouble for the lands of Beregost long after the sorceress’s death.
With one of the region’s most deadly assassins finally disposed of, many in the underworld wonder if the Dead Crow’s criminal empire will carry on or fall and crumble in Sabel ‘s absence. The assassins are no doubt attempting to pick up the pieces. It’s rumored that the Red Sorceress learned early in her life the utility of power and she never strayed from her ambitious path. So many feel it's only fitting that in her dogged chase to acquire more power, she ultimately allowed it to consume her in the end. A lesson many young brash sorcerers never learn throughout the history of the realms.
This chronicler can’t help but feel the legend of the Red Sorceress will continue on long past her death. The sorceress’s specter will no doubt be conjured up around spooky campfires and used to scare little children off to bed at night. The sorceress left such an impact on so many lives that it will no doubt have consequences for several generations here on out.
