*Colwyn returned to temple of Ilmater after breaking down the hasty field hospital. He spends the majority of his time keeping watch over the recovering slaves and acting as buffer between visitors and the temple workers and residents. Occasionally he can be seen conferring with the clergy, taking instruction from Ameris and some of the other sisters. As much as he seems to fawn over the recovering patients his purpose is quite obviously protective in nature.*

As requested, and indeed the same outcome would have occurred even if it were not, Cecilia keeps vigilant watch over the comings and goings in the Ilmateri Sanctuary and it's new patients. At times she exchanges brief conversation with her fellow guard and paladin, Colwyn, or with the priest Ameris but for the most part the Tyrran remains positioned at the crates nearest the door downstairs. It is only once the temple is completely still and the candles out for the eve does the paladin allow any hint of exhaustion show on her pale features.

Guide Teo came by and after talking with Ameris, offered Candlekeep's labs to help determine what the disease is and perhaps a treatment or cure. Later, he sent Acolyte Niall to collect tissue, blood, and fluid samples for testing. He delivered them to Reader Laitae who will examine them in the lab.

Laitae slips a note under Hoihe's door in the Readers' And Scribes' quarters:
"Hoihe, Teo has asked that we research the disease carried by the slaves. Ameris has provided us with various samples. I need you to analyze the alchemical characteristics. I will leave a few samples for you in the laboratories.
- Laitae"
She then proceeds to go to the laboratories to examine some of the samples using her vast knowledge and medical training. She takes the necessary precautions to not be infected herself, then casts a Detect Magic spell just to be certain there is nothing magical about the samples, before starting her analysis, keeping book cataloguing diseases near to compare.

Away for a day, he returns to duty in the temple, somewhat contrite from his temporary absence. He would thank those he saw who had set a watch over the place, sharing a few words as to how things are coming on,
His share of the constant cycle of the sick and injured that the temple receives keeps the priest busy; he would, when he could, check on the ex-slaves upstairs, hearing their stories when able, and helping to feed and tend for them. Concern for the traumatised patient, so unresponsive, would be evident.
With so many beds occupied he would give up his own in the temple and find lodgings in the Blade & Stars. He would, for some reason, seem unhappy about this, although not express it.

A number of donations have been offered by kindly souls to set the former slaves up in a new life and attend to any ancillary expenses. Nathaniel Collins is said to have donated a six figure sum, with more coming from other sources including a sizeable donation in kind from the Morninglord Neschera, who also has spent time at the Temple of Ilmater counselling the patients.
((120,000 in donations, along with the clothes donation this makes 150,000 in total. 25,000 a piece!))
