if you havent read up to "the companions" area this could be a spoiler, im not sure
Hidden: show
as im reading along, there are the favored of the gods that have suddenly appeared after the spell plague. Is this the first time gods started favoring mortals? I am assuming these are Favored souls, and if that's true, is it tottaly broken to have a favored soul in BGTSCC? considering we are years away from the spell plague?

IMHO favored souls are not part of canon lore, they're just a late edition from a non core book.

I've read the Companion's series and assumed they were Chosen, and not favored. Chosen were around well before the ToT and have their own character template in PnP and many, MANY other benefits that go along with being a Chosen. And risk. Favored Souls are a part of these later editions of D&D FR. (or..yuck).

Whew, well let me see then...following the one you're reading now...these do come closely after if I remember correctly.

You could read the "Return of the Archwizards" Good series. 3 books
followed by
"The Last Mythal" series, elven Return from Evermeet, reclaiming of Lost Cormanthor. (Myth Drannor) 3 books

Both are excellent series, well written and honest. Gritty and got me identifying with the emotional plights of various characters. Worth a read if you haven't already.

hope this helps.

If you'd like to read a story about drow and The Seven Sisters, including the myterious seventh sister, Qilué Veladorn, try Silverfall: Stories of the Seven Sisters by Ed Greenwood.
Widespread and many-tentacled is the evil that threatens Faerûn. Before its heart can be found, all of the Seven Sisters will play a part, and all too much blood will be spilled . . . drow blood.

reading this thread, I had no idea he changed up the order of the books. Icewind Dale Trilogy was published before all the other books, but now sits in 4th, 5th and 6th place. But I think I first ready that my Senior year in High School.
