My.. -opinion-... Mages are already the most broke 1v1 class in the game.. A single spell can easily kill or disable a lot of things, and others can be nuked with extremely high single target damage while the caster sits safely behind a wall of summons.. No need to also make them extremely easy to farm and level with.. Just my two coppers.

Who needs saves? Bigby's + Summon, alt tab, watch a youtube video, come back and laugh at the dead guy.. Or just IGMS if you want to get back to town in time for lunch..

Point is, Mages become more powerful than any class in the game for 1v1.. There is no reason IMHO to also make them -better- farmers. (better, since now all they have to do is summon something and stand back and watch it slowly run around the map killing things)

Seriously. Who cares?

It's not as if mages are the only uber powerbuild.

Mages are OK. Also, how would improving reserve feats a bit, especially the ones that suck, like the lightning one and the umbral shroud, (I was so disappointed when I found out that one was broke), make mages any more uber-powerful?

Not exactly. You just need to know what to do against them. Go play a mage vs Mendel, and mrm3ntalist will destroy you. And it's not like Rangers are PvP monsters...it's about knowing what to do, and when.
A single spell can easily kill or disable a lot of things, and others can be nuked with extremely high single target damage while the caster sits safely behind a wall of summons..

Spell Mantle wands are your friends, arcane "nukes" are not cost-effective, and the summon is pretty stupid and less than invincible.

Not to say mages need a buff, they're extremely powerful. But this looks like the "Amazing Neverending Spells Archwizard of Doom" :D. Come to think of it...I like it...yeeesss...
No need to also make them extremely easy to farm and level with.. Just my two coppers.
Agreed 100%. Arcanes do not need a buff, anywhere, most of all as far as performance durability is concerned: it's supposed to be one of the main downsides of the class. It should always stay that way.

I disagree. It's a game. And it's a fast paced game, with tons more enemies then PnP ever imagined. And the reserve feats should at least be somewhat equal to each other in power, and there should be more of them, since they are just flavor spells anyway. Umbral shroud should last longer, the elemental ones should all have level 9 reserve available, and as I said before, there should be some charm human/animal/monster ones as well, because, well, fun and flavor.

Then there are warlocks, with a never ending reserve of spells, and high UMD. I don't see much difference in balance terms.

Currently, I can deal with it just fine on all of the wizards I have ever played. Sounds balanced.

"Buff" and "fun and flavor" are not the same thing. I have nothing against "fun and flavor", I definitely will vote against any buffs.

You are incorrect. High UMD complements warlocks' restricted invocation selection, but that does not make them wizards in any way. Try my wizard's Wail of the Banshee and an UMD lock's Wail of the Banshee's scroll, and then tell me it's the same. The proportion is more or less like: Invisible Needle/100+ dmgXhit Eldritch Blast....

Why are you people discussing anything from a pvp view anyway? I thought this was a co-operative storytelling game where we all hold hands under the rainbow and sing happy songs.

Yeah, it is depressing.

"Everybody should go for the same most efficient strategy that works best in combat and anything else is not worth considering!"

On bgtscc, which is roleplaying server.

Seriously guys, what the hell. It is not a MOBA game. Stories, having fun, expressing your characters should be the most important. Instead people immediately start talking with combat and mechanical advantage in mind, as if it is the only important thing.

It is really disappointing.

whan i first found out that many of the feat reserve didt do the power they was mean to be then i thinking they are bug only 4 out7 have up to 9 spell lvl and the rest have 5 or 6 spell lvl that is not fair so that is why i say how about we add those prismatic spary and greater rainbow so the rest can come up to lvl 8 but it will not be lvl 9 but 8 is a step there up

Hm, yes, except:

I understand you're salty, frands, but last time I checked taking senteces out of context to ignite the forums was considered bad form :D.
