After looking for a while, he walks over to the man working this stall and places a hand on pelt draped around him and says quietly, (as to not be embarrassed by the upcoming offer) "Um, hello there"... "I think you have a most wonderful set of items here, and I do not know what Items I would have that may compare to yours, but I have some gold and this" The dwarf pulls out a bag and opens the top of the bag to let a man look inside it. "I highly value this item, so I would hope it would come to a great value to you. I have my prideful heart set on that armor over there and that shield over there". The dwarf pointing at a set of fullplate and a heavy shield. "I have close to 80 bags of money on me and am willing to make a trade deal with you"

I've been on this server for over 5 years and I've never seen some of the stuff you have here...I've not even -ever- found a +4 amulet or ring even. How do people get this stuff?

Could this not have been a PM or is this actually IC? The answer is I trade well, I rarely loot, it comes through up-trading.
Also, can all further posts be IC????

An Elf walks up, eyeing the wares curiously. He notes a particular pair of boots, then sees the wish list. He frowns a bit, but takes a step forward anyway.

"Good...merchant" He eyes the sword nervously. "Those boots,

Epic Boots of Fortitude (Dodge +4, Constitution +3)

are quite appealing. For those I would offer a "Epic Sling of Stealth" (+4 EB/+3 hide/+3 move silently/+1 electricl dmg/Bonus feat: Point Blank shot) and "Cloak of Resistance" (+3 Universal saves).

"My name is Kaienrai" The elf stands patiently.

Draviir looks at the elf, perhaps trying to assess any future value that the figure before him might represent. "Fine items, not on par with the boots mind you, but the point is moot. I have no need for the items you offer."

The Elf smiles humbly "Fair enough". He gives a slight bow before turning and continuing on his way.

Something very interesting caught the eye of a passing by traveler: Monk's Friend (Ring, Improved Critical: Unarmed, Weapon Specialization: Unarmed). He approaches for a closer look and says:
A very powerful ring you;ve got there, would really like to hear the story of how you;ve manage to acquire it, but first i would be interested in the price for it.

Draviir looks up at the traveller. "The price? There is no gold price ... show me worthy items of trade, items I seek and then we may talk."

A familiar elf returns, this time inquiring about the Dextrous Ring.

"Hello again! Do any of these relics favor you in exchange for that ring?" He goes on to explain the following items:

A blonde cleric of Waukeen pauses as she passes by and approaches the man. She examines the items at length and nods to herself. She points at the Desert Wind and the Epic Plate-Piercer while looking around, as if prepared for trouble.

"Here is the trade I propose. For those two weapons, I'll give you this ring." She shows him the ring she refers to. "Is that trade of interest to you?"

Draviir stands up when he sees the ring, obviously interested. After giving it some thought he finally speaks, "That ring is a rare find, however I cannot lose two items for one of yours, especially when I am already in possession of such rings. Should you wish to make me a counter offer, you know where to find me."

Draviir looks up at the elf. After hearing his offer he beckons the elf come closer so that he may whisper a response .... (PM sent)

The cleric nods. "And if I add this to the trade?" She produces a pair of gloves.

Draviir looks at the customer, thinking. "Hmm, I agree. I will make this trade. The ring and gold for the crossbow. Done."

After the trade is made, a well dressed merchant approaches Draviir. During the conversation it becomes apparent that a trade could be reached however some items are lacking. After the merchant leaves a dejected-looking Draviir updates a sign in front of his stall and waits.
