Where can you get the patch for NWN2?

Thank you STEVE! If I'm ever in your area I owe ya a beer buddy. Currently downloading the gog torrent. Assume once finished I just need to install and add my cd keys. Frustrating experience, but it's so awesome to have folks like all of you able to assist! Thanks to everyone who's posted tips to try and help out, it's very much appreciated!

EDIT: SUCCESS!!! The BG Module is currently downloading... so tomorrow when I wake up I should be able to test and see if I am able to get in game! again, thanks everyone, you all rock!

worked like a charm. I am now able to log in to the server from my laptop so when I travel I will get to play when not doing work type stuff... There will be some months where I travel 2-3 days every week so it'll be interesting to see who I meet during times when I normally haven't played! Logged in this morning and tested going through a couple of transitions and such. Only issue that has me concerned is that wireless sometimes stops working for no apparent reason so hope most of the hotels I stay in have an available wired connection!

This probably isn't the right spot for this, but I recently just installed the game on my laptop, and after some grueling hours of getting it to work, now I can't seem to connect to any servers. I'm using the client extension and the server list appears, but it does not show any servers and direct connect just says it timed out. I'm using the 23.229.0.132 address. It appears to be that it just isn't getting to the internet, but I'm not getting any error messages, my firewall is turned off, and my antivirus is turned off, so any advice what I should do next?

Have you tried the classic method of restarting your router? That fixes things for me when I am at a friend's place and I get no internet.

I actually restarted my computer and now it seems to be working properly. The router was my next stop though, thanks

Edit: Actually, even though the server list is there, it still times out when I try and connect. Ugh

Have you tried using a wired connection? My laptop sends to have trouble staying connected over works as I stated earlier in the thread.

I'm wondering if the network I'm using could be blocking me from connecting? I'm currently setting everything up while in the hospital with my (no longer) sick baby.

Yesterday, the Server was not allowing a few Players to log in, for about an hour. It might have been part of the DDoS attack protection, doing its job.

Check your computer—if using wireless—to make sure it does not rescan available wireless routers, for better connections, after you have connected successfully to 1 particular wireless router. That should prevent getting dropped.

In general, a good router can block all kinds of internet traffic, both in/out traffic. There is also the slim possibility that your network/ISP is on a Blacklist, for the Server Host (or a general internet one). This isn't so difficult to test out, actually. But more annoying if it IS on the Blacklist, getting it off.

No, I get no ping. Not on any server actually. The names just pop up, but when I try to connect to any of them, I get timed out. I tried 3 other servers just in case. I had no problem the first time I had NWN2 on this computer.

Are you going to a DOS prompt and using the ping command?

If you are not able to ping the Server this way, yeah...a problem!

I'm not entirely computer literate, so I'm not sure how to ping the server using a DOS command, or what a DOS command actually is
