School of Invocation & Evocation application
The application starts off legible but trails off into gibberish at times

Vocation: Warlock, Pact with a Far Realm entity
Magical Talents: Manipulation of others minds, especially causing insanity or overwhelming fear. Though sheer will and dedication I not only made contact with the Far Realm, I visited the realm and made a pact with an entity much more ancient than the gods themselves.
Magical Interests: Tentacled hooves in the lost kingd- I seek more more knowledge of the various planes and realms, places where the conection between them is strong and visiting these various planes. Also I seek to increase my use of these abilities
Influences: The Far Realm, my old friend Thardril, my Pact giver, Revenge, Tentacles sphere water hounds, Aberrations
Other comments: Becoming a full member would stimulate the starry cavern of enlightenment. Askillithaaammerr, as I said I feel I would be of great value to your institution and my knowledge of the planes and my alien powers will prove to be of use

These extremely odd and unusual facts have created a bunch of rumours within the walls of the School of Invocation and Evocation and the gossipers wonder what is going on. But one thing is sure, that Uelaereene is searching for
something...

An important announcement is made this cycle at the School of Invocation and Evocation. Several official papers have been put on all the bulletin boards among the School, signed by Master Krondorl Waeglossz himself:
Sshamath, 21st of Marpenoth, year 4224 since the foundation of the Conclave.
To all the members of the honorable School of Invocation and Evocation,
Usstan have the pleasure to inform that the fahliel Uelaereene Sai'zzel has been designated as our speaking member at the Bureaucreacy of Sshamath. All matters, suggestions and appeals concerning it should be directly directed to her from now on.

Early one cycle a tattered looking figure in red chainmail walks through the gates of the School of Evocation, he pauses as he looks around the courtyard then proceeds to the offices of Ucifeen Ne'palm. He removes his helm slowly as he is challenged by the guards who immediately let him pass.
Hours later he leaves the office of Ucifeen Ne'palm and enters private chambers that have not seen any use for many many cycles. For several more cycles no one leaves or enters the room, meals left at the door are later replaced by empty plates to be collected. Sometimes strange murmuring and chanting can be heard coming from the room followed by an odd odour.
Orders are given that no one is to enter the room in any circumstances.
Rumours begin to circulate around the School that Barbaccas has returned and that he had been away on a long mission for Ucifeen to some far off region, or even another plane.

To ALL staff, students and faculty members
Under no circumstances whatsoever is anyone to enter the room of Barbaccas. He has just returned from a long exhaustive journey at my bequest and his current state is both changeable and volatile.
The cost of one ilbith slave has now had to been written off and I would advise those apprentices who have been running a pool as a 'dare' to see inside the room that they will also be written off too.
Barbaccas is undergoing very intensive treatment, but will be returning to his normal duties shortly.

Albeit the third occasion that Barbaccas had now taken meals in the mess hall within the school, it was the first time an apprentice had dared speak to him and now said apprentice was held aloft with Barbaccas's fingers groped around his throat. The young students feet dangled a clear metre above the floor as Barbaccass extended his arms upwards, eyes seething with anger.
"You dare wish the blessings of gods upon me? You dare to say to me 'Good to see you well, may the gods aid your recovery' . . " Barbaccas pauses as he lowers the apprentice a little so they are now face to face. "To the hells with your gods and their blessings! I care not for them, I care only for this school, Sshamath and the power to defend them against any and all!" he screamed in the poor young jaluk's face.
A few moments pass as he breathes more slowly into the apprentices face, he now notices an archmage stand from his dining table and some guards approach. Barbaccas slowly lowers the lad to the floor and as his anger fades he straightens the boys robe, pats him on the shoulder and smiles as he speaks "You know, I believe I need to get out of this tower, walk the tunnels a while . . " He now turns to the approaching guards " . . but first can you ask Mistress Ucifeen if she will see me in my room".
Barbaccas strides off to his room with one nervous guard in tow. Talk of the event spreads around the school.

Barbaccas sat solemnly in his chambers staring deep into his dresser mirror. The journey had been harsh, it had drained him and it had changed him. His outlook, his purpose, even his fighting style had all been altered, steered by a new patron. Barbaccas smiled into the mirror as he liked where he was heading, recent patrols into the tunnels had allowed him to expand on this new direction and he was growing again, without the touch of gods.
He turned his attention to a blank scroll on his desk, it was also time re-enter the field of politics, despite his dislike for such, and so he wrote to Uelaereene making a request.
As he finished writing he looked into the mirror and smiled once more as he reflected on another recent development. One regarding the guards in the tower and some of the apprentices who had seen this new Barbaccas in action.
They had given him a new name and it spread around the tower . .
Gul'vlos . . .
It meant 'Ghost Blood' . .
He liked it . . .

Barbaccas is seen leaving the office of Ucifeen Ne'palm with a scroll in hand and preceding to the office of Krondorl Waeglossz, where he waits patiently outside for an opportune moment to speak to the esteemed Master of the School of Evocation & Invocation.

A report lands of the desk of Commader De'allac . .
Patrol Report
Patrol Members: Barbaccas, joined by Firiel Sshamath (School of Illusion) during patrol.
Region: The Wilds, Drider territory.
Objective: Routine patrol to re-assess Drider capabilities.
Report:
The tunnels in the wilds are quite extensive and enemy Driders are sparsely scattered, however threats in this area include Drider Scouts (who remain hidden until they strike), Warriors (extremely capable and dual axe wielding) and also Clerics (Can sometimes attempt a dispel, but almost always summon a demon/devil for support). There are also occasionally a type of Stone Devil that appears to have permanently bonded to the area.
I was joined in the Patrol by a Mage from the School of Illusion. It was a useful chance to assess her skills and she demonstrated a strong prowess with 9th circle spells, particularly Gate and Wail of the Banshee.
We proceeded west into further tunnels occupied by a superior level of Drider. In particular were Arcanist Drider which tend to attack in pairs and also cast 9th circle spells, such as Wierd.
At this point we employed more clandestine methods to scout the rest of the tunnels which did not allow for detailed assessment.
I plan to take a more prepared group back into the deeper wilds, to fully assess any Drider threat.

Urgent Missive
Patrols hereby warned of a curious threat appearing in the tunnels. Dark mist has been seen twice in different locations in the tunnels, from this mist all manor of deadly shadows and undead appear. If you have sufficient skill to eliminate these spawns then be prepared for the cause of the mist (So far has been a Lich and then some form of undead cultist) to appear and pose a greater threat. If these are then duly dispatched all that remains of both the undead and the mist is a floating 'Crimson Skull', seemingly dormant of power.
So far three of these skulls have been fount and are in the possession off the following three individuals [REDACTED] who were present at the time.
Any information or lore relating to these 'Crimson Skulls' is also a priority.

OOC Update:
FYI: Updated the first post in the thread with the following -
"NOTE: On BGSTCC a WIZARD CAN CHOOSE their opposed school of specialisation. This means if you make an Evoker, your opposed school does not have to be Conjuration, it can be something else (Feat IG, on char sheet, lets you change opposed school)"
I only just fount this out recently when making my own Evoker, although it was changed last year. Its important as conjuration is a pretty useful school to lose, and now you don't have to, you can choose something else.

Throughout the libraries of the School of Invocation & Evocation, in chambers shadowed and dimly lit by light of brazier's azure flames, he sojourned. A man, and not a drow. Pallid flesh enveloped in equally colorless robes. His body brittle, ancient and armored.
It was a battle-mage, a white wizard of Imaskar. His beard and eyebrows were long, his fingernails overgrown, and his eyes of steel stung like swords. Whatever business begged tolerance of his presence from the dark elf sorcerors concluded in general obscurity before the end of one cycle.
A conscientious guest lingers not overlong in the house his neighbor, least their friend have their fill of them. Much less the voyager unknown, unloved, should tarry in a hive of dark elves arcane...
