I've been playing this game for too long.

What most likely solved it was an engine update for my emulator. I still crash on transitions every once and a while. Between the March 7th and 11th updates, I was crashing 4-5 times a session...but that has subsided now. Go figure.

I think you should follow Thorsson's advice to wipe the game then reinstall. I know, I know....

Or try replacing that .dll.

you do recall all the issues I had getting the game on my computer in the first place, yes???

I will see about finding someplace with the .dll file in order to replace it as going back through a clean install is very low on my desirability list... Especially since the game works perfect without the CE... This makes me leery of thinking a clean install would fix anything.

Did you wipe and clean install a freshly downloaded CE?

Essentially, you could be working against a miscommunication between the OG files and CE, where there is a missing space/period/letter etc, because of anything...goofy. For 4 years I couldn't see full-faced hoods from Arsan's Hak because my emulator engine couldn't read the naming for those appearances.

Then after 4 years, it worked!! Pray to the Uncaring Ao that you don't have to wait 4 years! lol.

I was only suggesting a clean install of CE! That's why I said where mine resided and how I launched it.

I'll give it a shot. may take a while as it doesn't appear there is a uninstall option for CE so need to make sure I find ALL the files that were installed.

thanks again... was really hoping to play a little this morning or later today, but I need to get this fixed. grrrr....
