Ah, the "it'll be alright on the night defense". Well when that happens then maybe the criticism will be rendered invalid, but why isn't it in already, eh?

um, because we have a couple volunteers doing all the work and before they can move on to updating the area's (or doing anything else to address the dispel changes) there are a whole bunch of other issues from the release to improve upon, fix, etc.

Yes, exactly. Which is why the "big bang" was not such a smart idea IMO.

no one disagree's with that Thorsson! I believe Golem or Duster (or maybe Rasael, I don't remember) has posted that this was a 'necessary evil' due to the HUGE backlog of items that have been coded and, in some cases tied together over the past 2 + years. Basically if the dev's (mostly, if not all Duster and Rasael) had separated out all the content to put in to multiple releases it would honestly never have happened. Doing it this way allowed the backlog to be removed/drastically reduced and we can get feedback and remove the content that really needs to be removed while working on additional updates to begin implementing in short cycles with much less content per update.
This is a VERY common practice in business, by the way. First you Waterfall the huge, big starter project and then you adopt some version of AGILE implementation to begin putting in smaller upgrades, enhancements and fixes.

I've seen it in businesses, yes. Many are no longer with us.
