I should say, the main focus of QC's balance review that I mentioned is to make sure no classes are rendered invalid by Dispel bug fixes and other developments. EG, a look at Melee class balance. Its something QC will actively look at themselves but I imagine threads like this are the data they will use, if there are builds impacted by the 8 extra skill point requirement.
DM input is only on lore grounds (although the RP role of a class is a DM matter - EG the nature of Stormsinger as primarily an evolution of Bard, as evidenced by the PNP lore skill requirements)

Now I'm truly afraid.
Sure, you could have a go a weakening the StormSinger Class, but damn...you should consider Bard itself, first.
Not to mention Dwarven Defender. I could go on, really. I guess I'll patiently wait for those threads.

Its not really weakening, is it? Both extra lore skills are a bards class skills and it is not like a bard has a problem with skillpoints either - its not a fighter. If the additional prereqs were put n a fighter PRC that would be a big deal. But 8 skill points that most would/should allocate them there is not weakening.
In any case, the additional lore skill categories ( splitting up lore ) are something that that was decided to happen. After that it only makes sense for stormsinger to have the additional lore requirements -

If you want to argue that this change, gimps stormsingers i would be interested to read that.

I didn't say the -8 Skill points gimps the mechanical power of a SS. I was referring to Golem's general statement about rebalancing power of PrCs (which he now has clarified to be in particular to the Dispel Bug fix).
Considering it is fair and legal to have a 3 lvl Bard dip to access StormSinger for Warlocks/Divines, and probably the majority of SS takers are doing this, then it is about looking how it effects existing usage, versus how one is expected to be using it (such as the limited view it "doesn't effect Bards," when Bards are far from the only Class using it).
Anyway, considering the change was already made, I don't expect it to go back.
