FYI...If you're like me and don't like paying a bunch of money for revamps of games you already played GOG has a sale on BG I, BG II and Icewind Dale Enhanced Editions... Just grabbed all three titles for under $14 U.S. I think BG I / II were $2.99 each and Icewind Dale EE was $7.99

thids and I have been trying out the game in co-op. I liked how it was easy to dive straight into the game without having to tinker with settings for entire hours on end. Sadly, it had the tendency to freeze and pause of its own accord whenever one of us would skip the resting cutscene. We didn't get far into it yet, but it looked like a fun little game.

Well I decided to do the old Baldur's Gate first, just for kicks. I'm in that extra zone from the Enhanced Edition, those islands you reach by boat.

Gotta admit, everyone in the village saying "go talk to our mayor" is ... well, it's poor writing so far.

Those are from Tales of the Sword Coast, the original expansion released by Bioware over 10 years ago. Beamdog had nothing to do with it.

I was really looking forward to this expansion, I planned to buy it after I got home from work today. But after reading the many negative reviews, I just can't do it. Very disappointed right now, I replayed the original to prepare for it too.

Hacking apart characters created by your forebears is a disservice to the people who love them. Using the story’s most gentle character to make an exclusionary insult out of a casual conversation is a disservice to your other messages, and makes the whole thing feel petty. It’s just a bit of ugliness, added for sport.
